April 27, 20224 yr I have only started to look a using wind to generate power as i would like to move to the KZN coast and not sure how well the solar works there with the clouds but the wind does seem to blow often. So I will follow this project to see how this can be added to my future system. Thank you for the great information so far.

If one does not have to do maintenance then make it that it requires no humans and therefore low costs. Trust a robot .. What started as a two or three unit has created other interests and best to spend time on the long lasting of it which I recon should be 15 years plus. February 8, 20233 yr The only place that will beat Cape Town for wind on most days is Struisbaai ..... Working on my own design for a horizontal turbine.
