Goodwe ES Series Inverter. Software System for Real Time Monitoring in LAN.

Featured Replies

Gracias.

Saludos.

Hi CEF I've reinstalled the software ver3.40 a couple of times, but for some reason after a computer shutdown I get this error message. Is there a fix?

Hi @BGb

1.) There is no fix. Yours is an installation problem.
2.) The error indicates that in the \Data folder that hangs from the directory where the executable is located, the "Energy" file is not found, which records Goodwe's operating data second by second.
3.) If you have an older version of .exe installed, you can try:
-. Remove all directories from any previous version. Just keep the "parameters" file located in the :\Data folder from the previous installation. In this file is the hexadecimal key. If you keep the private comment I sent you, you can also delete the parameters file and just unzip the latest version and do a clean install from any parent folder you choose. and copy the exact same userid and hexadecimal key.
4.) If you have not installed any previous version as it is a new machine. You must repeat the instructions in the file: readme.txt and ask me for a new installation key for the new hardware.
Good luck.-

Very handy desktop app for real-time information in a single view. There is no PV master app for the desktop. The only option for the desktop is the SEMS portal, where the interface requires navigation and feels delayed. This is not a replacement for SEMS but a welcome addition. One could consider it the PV master option for desktop use.

Hello,
I have been using the app for a few days and I highly recommend the app developer because it is brilliant!!! The application to view parameters online works very well, simple to install, displays a lot of information and parameters of the inverter.
Huge respect to the creator, good job @Cef !

Hi community
Since a few days I have problems with errors in the application (ver. 3.40) namely 2 types of errors pop up (screenshots) which ,, stop,, the application and after pressing OK the application very quickly displays data even if saved in the background since the error pops up.

I am very much asking for help.

Greetings

If you reinstall the software there is a repair option.  That I would try first before  reinstalling, You may loose your data if the file is replaced,

Hi @cef, congratulations for your work, I am new to the forum and I hope as soon as possible to try it. Since May I have installed the Goodwe gw5048-esa inverter with 5.4 kWh Goodwe battery and SEMS is the database, always very slow and untrue, your software is the top. Thanks for the work you have done

Hopefully this software will let me see why my Goodwe inverter disconnects from the Wifi.

Hi @biscuit!

I'm sorry to inform you that the current version (3.40) won't tell you anything about cuts in UDP data transmission over WIFI network.
To version 4.0, which I estimate I will be able to upload to the forum in about 10 days, if I incorporate in the control and historical record of Events and Historical Record of Errors, a "Freezing" Event of the information transmitted by the Inverter to its LAN network and its restoration.
You, in this version, will be able to check when the Inverter stopped communicating with your Router and when it started communicating again.

Hi Cef,

Thank you again for a most awesome program, I will be downloading and installing. The work and time you have put into this is highly appreciated and making sense of a solar installation.

Thank you again

Hi Cef,

Thank you Sir, great program and the update so far is AWESOME and giving me so much more insight into the working and operational side of my Solar setup. You can and should advise Goodwe what can be done for their apps and programs.

Thank you

I forgot to put in the description of the new version that the database of all second-by-second fundamental electrical and operational parameters was extended to 5 (FIVE) days. This can be downloaded in a .csv spreadsheet (approximately 432,000 rows). In general, the column headings are self-descriptive, but if you have any questions, please ask here and not in private, so that everyone benefits.

Hi!
Apologies, there are some of you who have consulted me privately.
Due to an error in the preparation of the installation package, the value of "PV DC-AC conversion efficiency (Goodwe reports 97%)=" was set to "0" by default. this means that no solar power is displayed on the schematic and no solar power value is recorded in the database.
Here a value close to 100% should be placed in the PARAMETERS tab.

Hi Cef

I've been running the software for a couple of weeks and interacting with it on a daily basis on my PC.

I can appreciate the effort to produce a product like this. Thanks again.

The problems experienced may be due to the equipment at my house, so feel free to edit.

Positives

  1. The software has been running better than the previous version, previously if we tripped all the power in the house the energy file was damaged and had to be reinstalled. The latest version does not do it.
  2. I prefer your utility over that of Goodwe (SEMS) as it reflects changes in consumption/PV production immediately, the SEMS software seems to only update every 5 minutes.  I find this very usefull especialy in conditions where cloud cover intermittently disrups PV generation.  I run nearly the whole house as an essential loads and need to manage use to below 20 Amps (about 4600watt).
  3. The error log is a lot more comprehensive than in the past and flags events where there are over voltage, grid going down and reconnecting, nice for tracking what is called load shedding in South Africa (happens nearly every day).
  4. I like the graphics and comparitive statistics,
  5. The information on battery charge and discharge cannot be readilly accsessed in any report generated by Goodwe -Thank you I find it very useful.
  6. I often use your utility to check if changes to SEMS via PV master were in fact implemented. I often find I have to redo some of the settings (similar to previous version).

Observations/Comments/Requests

  1. I prefered the old WS where the display stayed on the whole time.  I dislike having to move the mouse to see the information.
  2. The same data is used in CS and GR however the figures differ slightly from that produced by SEMS (in general lower than SEMS).  Eg for 21 Nov PV production, cef utility = 35.699 kW, SEMS = 37.0 kW. Export of power 17.93 kW (your utility) SEMS 17.8 kW an exception as your utility in now lower.  Only checked in detail for one day. I also something Goodwe calls "self use" - the daily PV power used by a household, effectively the balance of PV after removing PV exported to grid.
  3. I may have a communication problem with the inverter, I downloaded a couple of days data and it had some missing periods.
  4. Would it be possible to make the daily data (I see you currently display 12 days worth of data) in the GR section available in excel format? Extracting summary data from the daily data is a challenge.
  5. Must the utility be connect all the time to obtain daily data?  At the moment the PC powers down after 5 hours on non-use.

Error messages

I'm getting a battery over voltage alarm, BMS code 8.  The batteries do not show an alarm. I have 2 PylontechUS3000 and one US3000c.  I think I read somewhere that I must change a setting in parameters but cant find it now. If you can help it would be great.
