  1. Looking for a wall mount LBSA battery to add to my existing one. I'm hoping someone has one they are looking to sell. Item Wanted: LBSA 48V battery Packaging Essential: No Desired Age: N/A Location: Gauteng Willing to accept a shipped item: No, will collect Ballpark/Budget Amount: Reasonable
  2. I have a heat pump that's plumbed into a normal geyser. Works very well for me, heats up water to 60degrees. The cost is way cheaper than heating water with the geyser. Maintenance is about R500 each year. I also have solar panels and have setup my system to switch on the geyser when I have excess solar power. This increases the water temp to 70 degrees. Water takes a bit longer to heat up during winter but that's expected because of lower ambient temperature. I have not used solar vacuum tubes and don't know anything about then.
  3. I have a similarly sized system and have produced an average of 15.5 kWh each day for the past 3 years. Obviously you have to consider where you will mount the panels as this affects production.
  4. Check the price of a brand new one https://www.solarwaysuppliers.co.za/product/deye-3-phase-inverter-12kw/
  5. The battery is not full that's why it keeps charging. The 2 graphs you provided have different starting SOC of the batteries so in the first picture, it got full faster. I don't think you have anything to worry about.
  6. Item: Mean Well 24v Din Rail power supplies DR-60-24 Price: R300 Payment Method Accepted: Cash/EFT Warranty: None Packaging: None Condition: Used good Location: Fairlands Johannesburg Shipping: On you Collection: Yes
  7. Would this R200 service fee affect me? I live in a complex which uses a 3rd party for prepaid electricity but the complex's COJ electricity account is not prepaid.
  8. you may need to adjust your pricing. Takealot has it for R5999
  9. I'm sure the batteries can't be monitored remotely without a physical connection to the battery? How would they connect to the internet?
  10. I also have the same battery, the older type, i'm happy with the battery, no issues in the past 2 years. I asked about cycle count and this is their response: I trust you are doing well! There is no need to stress about the cycles as the warranty is not governed by the number of cycles. Kindest Regards,
  11. As I said in the post, the temperature hasn't gone that high since I put a fan. I don't know whether the inverter is reporting false readings but the heat sinks really feel hot to the touch during the day. As I'm writing now, the inverter is reporting 54.5degC but the inverter fans are not on. Maybe it's just false readings, I don't know.
  12. My update as promised, i bought 3 of these cheap fans. I was initially disappointed because they didn't move much air. I zip tied them together and placed them on top of the inverter. The inverter runs much cooler than before, previously i had seen temperatures of over 90 degrees but not the highest i have seen is around 78 degrees. I am really impressed and will add another fan at the bottom to blow the air upwards.
  13. Thank you. I am going to do this and post the results here.
  14. Thanks, I'm assuming the fan will be pulling up air if you add it on top instead of blowing it into the heat sink.
  15. I have a 5kw in the garage. Even though noise is not an issue, the temperature of the inverter worries me. The minimum I have seen is 68°C and maximum of close to 90°C. I will try this hack and see how much the temp drops.
  16. Thanks, I have watched this and will try it
  17. Is this still available?
  18. let me check if they are compatible. Would you have a model number or something like that so that i can check
  19. I am looking for a wifi dongle for the above inverter.
  20. I changed mine to 2kw. The difference is that my geyser is on the aux port(i use a heat pump to primarily heat my water). I only use the geyser when there is "Excess" solar power to heat up the water to 70 degrees since heat pump only goes to 60.
  21. Get a lithium battery. Even if it's just one battery that's not performing, you will have to replace all of them to match them up.

by UPS mean an inverter and battery without solar input.

Thanks for you response but i guess i didn't put enough background to my question. The UPS will be installed at a complex where you can't install solar panels. The best i can do is to have a UPS with no expectation of adding solar panels in the future.
