  1. Maybe change the low and high voltage settings on the inverter. Reduce charging current more and if it connect increase. If possible check the frequency output of your generator. It must be close to 50Hz
  2. I have the same type of unit. But mine is very old and still working 25kg Salt (A GRADE)
  3. The best is to install a dedicated Softener. They come in diffenent sizes so make such it can meet all your needs. Mine uses 2 bags of salt in 3 months.
  4. I used Cat5 shielded cable to extend my CT cable to 40 meters. No issues. You can even double up on the wires used.
  5. There are a few different ways of doing it. You can combine your 2 string as mentioned and add more panels. You can leave your panels and add the victron with its own panels to boost morning or afternoon.
  6. This is just basic drawing. I did not include any protection. Mppt setting the same or just below inverter voltage. Only issue is that you cant see the charging of batteries on the interver page. Will need to monitor separately via the victron app.
  7. Morning Rory. Have you had a look at adding a Victron Mppt directly to your batteries to assist with charging. You could add the mppt with its own panels to charge the batteries. Just need to do the setting correctly.
  8. Cable from top batt Positive and negative. Bottom battery Positive and negative. Both Positive connected to Fuse Isolator and both negative to fuse isolator
  9. For an 8kw inverter it is a must. That is what I am running. 3x us3000 2 x up5000 8kw Sunsynk
  10. It will depend on the size of your inverter but it is always better to double up on the cables.
  11. Bom dia. Teremos muito mais informações para ajudar. Tipo de inversor Tipo de bateria Como o Assistente Solar se conecta a ambos? Atenciosamente
  12. Looking good Yoda. Great utilization of the available roof space and double the solar. Well done
  13. They are the US3000c yes.
  14. I have 3 x US3000 and 2 x UP5000 connected together.
  15. The geyser wise uses a smart Thermostat that sits in the normal thermostat position near to the water inlet. It will drop quickly when cold water enters the geyser.
  16. Also try to put n load on the Generator before connecting. The generator needs to ramp up it revs to keep the voltage and frequency stable.
  17. Until someone gets electrocuted. Then he will have to answer for not grounding the gate motor. Not bashing You , just saying
  18. These Victron Inverters are fan less. https://www.sunstore.co.za/collections/solar-inverters-chargers/products/victron-energy-quattro-48v-inverter-charger?variant=33098227548194
  19. Pylontech you can mix the different size batteries. I have 3 Us3000 and 2 UP 5000 connected together. Newest always the master battery. For software just search on the forum. It is available
  20. For totally off-grid I think Victron is the way to go.
  21. Also can't complain Northern Cape but ja in the afternoon it is normally cloudy.
  22. Also check your Frequency setting on the inverter. Make sure it is on 50Hz
  23. High Voltage
