  1. I am not using the setting. Just created it to show you
  2. Please see the following. If I am not mistaken this will work
  3. You need to install inverter type aircon's. The claimed consumption is exactly what it says claimed. Also check the support and spares availability of the manufacturer.
  4. This will depend in the type of install you want to do. If your loads are high in the day you can opt for a on grid system without batteries. The upfront is lower. If your loads are high at night you will nee a lot off batteries making the upfront cost higher. With both type of installs you will save money in the long run. With the increase in the electricity price the payback will also increase year by year.
  5. Powerforum Store has 550 Canadian panels
  6. I bought JA 565w Mono from ARB for R1526.92
  7. If your panels are in series you are going to have mayor issues. One a single mppt this is not the correct way of connecting panels. The only way is the same amount of panels on each side connected in parallel. This is still not optimal.
  8. Just remember that the work of the Breaker is to protect the cable and not the Inverter. No use to have a 120A breaker with a cable that cant handle the amps.
  9. Unfortunately yes. These inverters can be very noisy and the fan is constantly on.
  10. Most of time I make it through the night but sometimes I use a small amount of grid in the morning. This is because of the geyser that is heating from 4-6 AM. If the wife use the stove during the night it will result in the battery being drained a bit to much.
  11. Hi Moolmanj. Here is my system. Sunsynk 8kw inverter 12 x 335 w JA solar panels on MPPT1 8 x 560W JA solar panels on MPPT2 20kwh batteries. Everything is on the inverter. Here you can see the amount of KWh I have used from Eskom for the last 4 months Still fine tuning the system
  12. Can you confirm that your charging voltage is still 53.2V after your update?
  13. The inverter is an Sunsynk 8kw. Battery comms via CAN. I cant adjust the voltage with Comms in place.
  14. Hi guys. Just a question maybe someone have seen something similar. One of my batteries is getting very hot when it has fully charged. While charging all of them are about the same but as soon has they hit 100% the one will get quite hot. The minimum and maximum temp on the cells seems fine so I assume this is the temp sensor inside the enclosure. After about an hour it will drop back to the same temp as the rest. Setup is Sunsunk 8Kw inverter with 5 Pylontech batt running solar assistant. Battery comms via CAN. Can it maybe be the balancer that is creating this heat?
  15. You can contact Semikron. They specialize in rectifiers. They build Rail and trolley systems for the industry. They should be able to assist in any rectifier that you need. They used to build 3 phase 1600V 2000A rectifiers for our mine.
  16. You can contact @Steve87. He can assist.
  17. Solar Assistant is the way to go.
  18. Make contact with @Steve87
  19. Hi Guys. The time is finally here to upgrade. I am still unsure what to do. Any comments/concerns regarding Pylontech batteries especially the UP5000. I haven't had any problems with the 3 US3000 up to now.
  20. You can contact @Steve87
  21. Hi Woody. 3 x Us3000c batteries can deliver 5kw(+-100A) of power. The 35mm² cable can handle that but with 4 batteries I would by a extra cable pack. The 8kw can draw 190 Amp's from the batteries when pulling full load. You will have to limit that on the inverter to protect the batteries. For now the 160Amp fuses should be sufficient.
  22. Hi there. I believe It is possible if you use something like Solar assistant. Just not sure if this will be available on the Expert machine. Best will be to contact them.
  23. Here you can see that 5kw Kodak King can do more than 5kw load. This lasted for 3 min.
