  1. Bought from Powerforum store. Not needed anymore
  2. Hi everyone As the title say. I am looking for a single freedomwon etower battery. Pease private message Thanks
  3. Oops, can i offer R2200 for the distributor?
  4. Hi, Item: Victron Lynx Distributor 1000 DC Price: R2700 -> R2200?? 🫢 Link: https://herholdts.co.za/pd6682/ci133/victron/victron%2Dlynx%2Ddistributor%2Dm8.html
  5. Victron system is superior in terms of reliability, durability and efficiency. They are hardly affected by poor grid, weather or inferior electrical appliances They will last longer. Very long.. Have one inverter thats been running since 2011 at my parents place Self power consumption is also very very low compared to sunsynk. My 8kw Sunsynk would use max 71watts whilst now my 2 x multis 2 5kva use just 37watts.
  6. Do you specifically want a Shoto battery? I am selling my Freedomwon Etower battery
  7. Item: 1 x Sunynk 8kw (no box available for packaging..) Age: 2 years Price: 12k Payment Method Accepted: EFT Condition: Good - used for backup. No solar panels were connected to it Location: Midrand Reason: Moving to victron.
  8. I have three for 3 years now. Good battery. Never had any issues with it. It comes with battery cable, busbars, inverte cables and a stand to place the battery Communicates well with Sunsynk and Victron
  9. Isn't it the inverters in parallel should use one battery bank? Because they act as one inverter when charging batteries
  10. You still have the unit? Boxed and working 100%?
  11. Do you still have this one? Is it a 24V or 48V one? Looking for one.
  12. Quattro is a low frequency inverter and i would swap without thinking but i will keep the other for backup .. of the backup.
  13. Hi peeps, I got four of these fans to cool down my inverter and other items, my challenge now is how do I connect these to a 12v supply? If possible can i use adapters with 4-pin 12V to AC? Or should i cut off the connectors and just use +ve and ground to a power supply? https://www.rebeltech.co.za/noctua-nf-b9-redux-1600-pwm-92mm-pwm-nf-b9-redux-1600p-case-fan.html
  14. And if they use different cells with different charging/discharging parameters that will be a problem right?
  15. I got this one working. It works for packs too. i currently have one pack connected that i am trying to bring close to others. The cable required is in two parts. Solar-assistant/pBMS2.5 Tools <-> usb to db9 serial <-> db9 serial to RJ11 <-> battery (master for all packs) This cable -> https://www.takealot.com/mecer-usb-to-1-serial-9-pin-port/PLID35668474 Then you will need to get the db9 to RJ11 cable. I made one and also got one from Freedomwon. Both cables worked. You can make the cable according to this spec https://www.freedomwon.co.za/wp-content/uploads/Freedom-Won-eTower-PBMS-Tools-April-2024.pdf @SolarAssistant is it possible maybe to mass produce this can and sell it too. I can confirm it worked well with Solar Assistant and Freedomwon Etower. This cable connects to Pace BMS serial port RS232.
  16. wait a minute, the 12% increase is seperate from this service fee? They have also requested a 36% increase in 2025, right? Electricity is becoming unafforable. it's insane
  17. they are good and have been in the market for very long. They also integrates well for monitoring i didn't go with them was because of two minor reasons. I needed something which is very close to 1C. i was starting with one battery. The other reason was because they have 15Cells as compared to others that have 16Cells. Their nominal voltage is on the lower side but this is just a very minor thing and it has not been an issue for years. Other than that i will still buy them if i was planning to get them all at once.
  18. you need the 24V in series to make 48V and then using Voltage as the charging method on the 5.5kw. Which inverter do you? Deye or Sunsynk? Also check if the batteries can be connected in series, some manufacturers do not recommend it
  19. At that total, they might as well ship a new one to you. Close to R20 000.00. I will take my money and buy a new inverter. Even if you were to resell it after it sorted, you will likely recoup just the repair costs.
  20. I watched somone on youtube tearing the inverter down.. i honestly think 8hours if far less to complete the repair. The inverter has so many boards that you can take 2hours taking it apart.. then you have to consider the time they take replacing the components of which some may need soildering. They have to assemble it back and test it... I honestly think it can take 2-days full focus on it.
  21. Hi People, i have been trying to find out how i can get the data out of my 3 eTowers batteries. Has anyone managed to connect their eTowers directly to the RaspberryPi with Solar Assistant? Solar assistant is vague about whether they have a working RS232 to USB cable for these batteries. I see they have a RS485 cable which they say is not tested for mutliple packs and they even say if Inverter is connected to CAN, the RS484 connection will not work. For more information, ETowers uses Pace BMS
  22. Thanks for the reply.
  23. Hi, i know this is old but where can i get this cable?
  24. 3000 - 3500 is the region of 5hr charge rate which is recommended for batteries so as some have said above your installer likely set it that way i also have 3 x 5kw FW eTowers. The bank is capable of insane amount of charge rate but i hardly do even 5hr charge rate. All depends on how much you discharge. You can still adjust to highier charge rate as recommended by your battery manufacturer. Slow charge is good for batteries.
