  1. Was the SSR mounted on a suitably specified heatsink ?
  2. What wattage is the kettle ? And what is the max current rating of those batteries ?
  3. That's just 48kWh of cells .....

  7. I have around 250kWh of Leaf cells running Victron ESS - not exactly a DIY task job as it all just bolts together.

Could you post links to those reports please.
  9. Vd isn't the sole variable to be considered when calculating wire guage.
  10. Manufacturers instructions always overule any local regulations, and certainly take presendence over assumptions regarding "looking about right"
  11. The sizes I mentioned above are as per the Victron MPII manual.
  12. MPII 5K battery cable should be 70mm MPII 3K battery cable is 35mm

  15. Another vote for SketchUp - here's one I made earlier, just galvanised box and angle.

  18. The MP uses a CT to measure current, so dont expect high precision at such low levels.
  19. Ah thanks, I thought you'd found a way of feeding a DC shunt of sensor data directly.
  20. Can I ask how you are getting the DC battery usage data into eMon ?
  21. Assuming you have followed the Venus to WM4 connections correctly, and selected Automatic in Venus under Battery Monitor your WM will be found automatically, and assuming you have the shunt fitted you'll see the charge/discharge rates, shunt voltage and SoC within Venus. The toolkit settings for logic will largely be dictated by your battery, certainly in terms of cell voltages, and charge/limited charge rates - critical actions will depend on what means you have to load shed via shunt trips etc.
