Grid down light
I use a tasmota smart led light bulb, installed in the back of my kitchen, lights to light blue when national loadshedding and switches to light red when local loadshedding. You can set any colours you prefer and at any intensity you prefer. Controlled from my stats system via mqtt getting loadshedding status from the inverter data and eskoms loadshedding api.

Lithium NMC cells (CATL) for sale in 6s modules 22v 114ah useable
Anyone interested in these cells must be aware that they are way more dangerous than the common LiFePo4 cells NMC chemistry is widely know for their thermal runaway characteristics - especially the pouch cell format. Just my opinion...Google is your friend.

- Anyone know this solar panel cleaner?
Most solar panels have a protective anti-glare coating which can be damaged removed by cleaning with any sort of detergent. Best way to clean your panels is gently with water and a soft broom or mop.- Naboomspruit
Did your batteries come with a user manual? Usually they state the self discharge rate in the specs. Typically the best storage voltage for lithium iron phosphate (LiFePo4) cells is between 3.2-3.4V per cell. Multiply for your battery size, usually 15 cells or 16 cells. again, refer to your user manual. This could be different for your battery if it uses a different chemistry.- Switch off of one battery in a two battery application
Most battery banks will do that due to the different resistances, so they will drift apart over time. Personally I would leave it as-is.- IOT Smart Devices and Tasmota

- Seeking Advice for Resolution: Faulty 10kW Solar System and Compliance Issues in Cape Town
Those all look like basics that should be done with most installations. Get the original company to sort that all out and question how they gave you a coc with so much non-compliance...- Copper Busbar tinning

Last purchase Ordered 3 Aug 2023 still tasmotizable... I think this may be the last batch of the safe ones. https://www.takealot.com/vizia-smart-wifi-power-plug-switch-for-south-african-3-pin-16a-2/PLID90405537- Inverter recommendation needed
South Africa is almost unique in that most users get into solar to mitigate loadshedding. If loadshedding was not an issue most of us would have gone the grid-tie route and add battery systems later if needed and or if budgets allowed.- Inverter recommendation needed
the deye/sunsynk inverters work best with batteries, they can work without but will not handle high load switching without batteries. The scenario you describe is better suited for proper grid-tie inverters as that's what they are designed for.- Inverter recommendation needed
@xtoswanepoel If loadshedding is not an issue and you want to run without batteries then ideally you would be looking at something like a solis grid-tie inverter with zero feedback to grid if your utility does not allow feedback...- Prevention of use of batteries from feeding non-essential loads
Usually the non-essentials should NOT work if their is no grid. That is provided everything is correctly wired up and the CT coils set at the correct position on the incoming grid. If the batteries were depleted before the grid outage by feeding e.g. geysers then that could/would mean the work mode settings may not be optimal.- Large 'Retro' Power System Display
This is as far as I got last week... Managed to get all 10 servo's running nicely after I upgraded to a bigger power supply, seems like those tiny servo's want plenty amps to work correctly 🤣 I had a smaller 3amp converter and had the servo's jittering like crazy, now have a decent 6amp one and a nice beefy cap to smooth out everything.- Large 'Retro' Power System Display
Nice, the video shows nicely how your diffusers work, job well done Great job on how the levels show as well- PV and ripple switches.
Cheaper and quicker to install.- PV and ripple switches.
The electricians on the site should be able to answer that, they do/should know the regulations better than me.- PV and ripple switches.
Exactly and will these guys/girls coming to do this be suitable qualified to issue said COC 🙃 Problem is most people will not even be aware of this requirement and will simply allow them to come in and make changes to their electrical system.- PV and ripple switches.
Are they going to provide you with an ammended COC if they need to install a device?- Large 'Retro' Power System Display
