Pylontech vs Hubble
So are you saying that they are Better than BYD NMC Cells ?

Pylontech vs Hubble
Um the Pylontech looks like it was made in a china backstreet look at those cells looks like a bunch of Cellphone batteries taped together corrosion everywhere I suppose its because its a .5C battery the Hubble looks like Awesome quality all round and the Cells Look like decent cells I heard that the Hubble uses BYD cells must be why the quality visually looks so much better It would be interesting to have a comparison test between the batteries Clearly they don't have Hubble batteries to test in Aus... I mean Lithium batteries are Expensive and a long term investment so quality is paramount. @HubbleLithium are we going to see some comparisons between these two? I heard that Pylontech has a new 4.8KW 1C battery on the market would love to see how they stack up to each other...

Sunsynk 8kw Inverter
Seriously cant these guys take a little competition really weak if they disagree its their prerogative but to harass someone for having a different opinion based on actual experience is just stupid and idiotic you have my sympathy!!! Clearly Victron owners are very sensitive souls...

Sunsynk 8kw Inverter
There is No Comparison Victron is out classed in every aspect the Sunsynk is superior and much more affordable this is the start of the slow death of a fossil.

Has anyone here imported LiFePO4 cells from China successfully?
Hey @Delta9 there are other more established products at really great prices available on the local market with excellent local support Like the BSL BUll Battery or Shoto you should try contacting Power forum store I see they have specials on the BSL Bull batteries with the Sunsynk inverters as far as I know they also do Shoto ZTE and Hubble batteries The Sunsynk inverter can run in 3 phase or single phase parallel setup so theoretically you can have 26.4 KW Per Phase in three phase at 380 v that is 9 x 8.8 KW Sunsynk inverter all connected to a common battery with the ability to feed back to the grid if you need to total solar production per Hour will give you 93.6 KW per hour the system will be able to function off grid and you can have a very large battery bank connected combinations of the 1C BSL Bull 5.1 or 6.4 KW batteries that can deliver 100 amp and 125 amp continuously you can also look at Hubble 1C batteries or Shoto Batteries I know of installations where there are more than 250KW of Shoto batteries installed that work well in combination with the Sunsynk inverter systems to run water pumps and pivots. The inverters can also blend power very well my opinion may be biased towards the Sunsynk and BSL Bull batteries as far as I know the batteries are approved by Victron and Sunsynk officially.. My 2 cents

Please Help: New to Solar with Endless Issues
This is terrible and creates such a bad name for solar suppliers and installers alike! Firstly please name and shame the installer and the supplier so everyone can be made aware not to use their services or buy product from them. Do you have a PV Combiner box and can you switch off the Solar Panels? Do you have a fuse switch between the battery and the inverter? Because that error says the the fuse between the battery and the inverter is blown or there is loose connection between the battery and the inverter.

Different battery types off same inverter
Sound advice from @Vassen rather just sell those lead acid batteries the risk of damaging something is too high and the cost of making them work together is not justifiable.
-
Recommend me some batteries for solar to replace existing lead acid deep cycle
You Should have a Look at the ZTE 4.8 KW lithium battery not badly priced.

Sunsynk Inverters: 3-phase setup
Hi Dave yes the Sunsynk 5.5 and 8.8 Can be setup in 3 Phase The inverters each attach to a Phase and they have comms cables that they use to communicate with each other they share the same Battery bank be it Litium or Lead acid PM me your email address and I can send you the installer manual via email

Replacing cloned axpert inverters
@Leosol Do you need the inverters in Single Phase or three phase configuration ? I would recommend 3 x Sunsynk 5.5 KW Inverters if you need 3 Phase if you need Single Phase I would recommend 2 x 8.8KW Sunsynk inverters these units can run comfortably in off grid mode and have great built in features the 5Kw can produce 6.5KW solar power and the 8KW can produce 10.4 KW solar power per inverter they also have duel MPPTs with maximum DC Voltage of 500V Victron would be your other option however this will cost a small fortune because Victron is by no means cheap. Mlt Drives also make great low frequency off Grid inverters that can take a lot of punishment I saw that Power Forum Store is running a very nice special on the Sunsynks they may be able to give you good prices on that inverter range However there is a lot of options and choices available. What kind of loads are you running off the inverter system ?

Solar equipment and installer prices
There are a couple of solutions available my opinion is a little baised when it comes to inverters. Axpert clone inverters are definately not what I would recommend for your application. Lets face it your inverter is the corner stone of your whole solar power system so choosing the correct inverter is very important. Future expandability also plays a major factor. So before we look at solar panels and batteries I would recommend you look at the following options The Victron Multiplus series inverters are very good but a comple 3 phase package will cost the price of a small farm they work very well with Grid tied inverters like Fronius and Solis they are also compatible with most batteries on the market. Configuration and setup gets complicated and you require a lot of addons to make the system work according to your needs. I would recommend you get advice from the Victron experts on the forum if you want to go that route. Your next option would be Sunsynk or Deye inverter range also a very good product packed with features out of the two brands I would personally go with Sunsynk they have excellent after sales service and backup definately an up and comming product whats nice about these inverters is that they are all in one device they can supply solar power to the grid side and the off grid side of the inverter they support all major battery brands comes with a 5 year warranty etc If you plan to self install then looking at this product would be a good choice it is easy and simple to install and setup. You can also run up to 10 of them in parallel in single or three phase configuration. However your cheapest route would be to change your 3 phase eskom connection to a single phase connection. This will reduce the cost of the inverters considerably. Any three phase equipment you need to run can be run with single to three phase variable speed drives this means you can power three phase motors with a single phase power point. I hope this gives you more clarity.

How many watts should 12 panels deliver
Yes that is correct however the explenation is just to give a basic Idea SMA also offers similar tech to Victron but what you say is 100%

Shadowed for ages and jumped today
Exciting stuff glad you took the plunge with that setup you won't look back those 6.4 KW BSL Bull batteries are beasts!! Lifepo4 technology. Great choice on the inverter and solar panels too... your a lucky man!!

How many watts should 12 panels deliver
A True Hybrid Inverter like the 5 kw Sunsynk or Deye inverter has Different modes it can function in. As an example say you start with the Inverter and Panels only then the Sunsynk inverter functions like a Grid tied inverter which means when eskom is on and as an example you have a 6.5 KW Solar array and on the roof all your ac loads that you have will be supplimented by the 6.5KW solar array any excess power produced will be pushed back into the grid however these inverters come with a CT clamp that must be connected where the utility supply comes in with this the inverter can controll how much you feed back to the grid you have full controll over that. So essentially the 5.5 KW inverter is a 6.5 KW Grid tied inverter in that respect. If eskom power goes off the Grid tied output of the inverter switches off and comes back on if eskom come back on. But now let us say you add a battery bank and you have loads that you need to run off the battery bank during loadshedding when eskom is off then the 5.5KW off grid part of the inverter comes into play and the limit of the maximum battery powered load of the inverter is 5.5 KW typically we call these loads essential loads. So in this scenario the inverter will always provide power to these loads regardless of the source be it battery solar or utility power the inverter also has an internal charger that will and can charge the batteries if solar power is not available however you can controll this feature. Let say you have an essential load of 500 Watt and your solar array is producing 6500 watt then 6000 watt will be available for non essential loads like geysers aircons pool pumps heat pumps ovens etc and lets say the load is 8000 watt the inverter will supply 6000 watt of the 8000 watt and allow 2000 watt to flow in from eskom to supply the load so that means there is no limit to the load on the the non essential side of the inverter but there is a 5.5 KW limit on the loads on the essential load side of the inverter. So basically The Sunsynk 5.5 KW inverter is a 6.5KW grid tied inverter combined with a 5.5KW off grid inverter all in one.

Essential items in a Solar installation
Indeed if your solar array is not earthed and installed correctly using spd and fuses besides properly earthed solar arrays will have a measure of protection against lightning and the risk of destroying your expensive inverter and batteries are also reduced. Insurance companies will not pay your claim sadly many so called professional installers do not bother to earth solar arrays or even install fuses and spd devices between the panels and the Mppts also they neglect to install fuses between the batteries and the inverter. The client suffers the damages at the end of the day..

Best Practice for Li-Ion Battery Maintenance
Technically speaking conditions that will affect the life of your Lithium Iron Phosphate battery more is high tempreture and high charge rates however your systems Bms will controll charge rates and discharge rates there is one school of thought that claims you need give your battery a deep cycle once in a while however there is no rule of thumb on exactly how often you need to do that. The other school says let the BMS manage that and cycle the batteries according to your needs this will inadvertently achieve the same goal. However if you look at the Cycle curves of Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries you get more than double the duty cycles at 60% dod than 80% Dod and for the Pylontech batteries they claim 6000 cycles at 80% Dod @25 degrees celcius. Here is an interesting read https://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_prolong_lithium_based_batteries

Tesla Powerwall vs Pylontech (or similar)
Very interresting so the Pylontech batteries have not failed yet and is still performing within spec not the same can be said for powerwall.
-
Best Practice for Li-Ion Battery Maintenance
The less and more shalow you cycle the battery the longer the lifespan so option A would be the best choice Pylontech batteries have excellent performance for shalow charge and discharge rates.
