Fraud corruption and rampant theft. The ceo has no control over the eskom mafia.

This will get progressively exponentially worse

Fixed that for you. Another view of the same data.  The one ESP published only showed hours and did not factor in the stage.

I think that it is going to be the new normal, I don't see our government being able to sort it out.

Too many people in positions of power, making too much money having a system that doesn't work efficiently.

You are right of course but there is nothing normal about the disaster that Eskom has become. Maybe "new reality" is more appropriate.

Yep. It's interesting how angry we're not, how it's become the new normal. Yesterday Eskom moved up to stage 3. 6 months ago my street whatsapp group would have melted my phone. Now nobody even comments.

It's a very, very bad situation. Everything is affected. People lose the contents of their fridges. Somebody posted on twitter a couple of days ago of having to drive home during load shedding - no lights on the freeway, then when you exit the freeway the robots that control the intersection aren't working, then you turn onto a road with no lights... small businesses are taking a pounding.

The interesting thing for me is that the amount of installed solar power has increased hugely the last couple of years. Most shopping malls and hospitals now have massive PV installations, the amount of roof top solar on residences has gone up significantly, we constantly read about VeryBigCorp which has gone off-grid. Yet it hasn't made a blind bit of difference.
