Is that not what its supposed to do? My pylontechs have the same feature, most BMS's do....

So why is this special or are you just impressed? The entire solar system impresses me, its magical!

Sun, battery, escom all combined, constantly juggling from the different sources, beautiful to watch.

I'm impressed at it all just like you😂

Seplos took flak for it's small passive balancer but I find it perfect for maintaining pack balance without the need for an active balancer.

Post again at 3.5V per cell or above, and then I may be impressed... Low imbalance in the flat portion of the discharge curve, and after only 7 cycles is not any indication at all of balancer capability.

My cutoff voltage is at 3.5V.

Battery is now at 98% and charge current has been dropped to 10A by the bms to absorb and balance.

What's great as it took only 7 cycles to drop from 50mV inbalance to around 15mV at 3.5V

A small passive balancer is all you need over the long term - just look at any commercial battery. Not a single one of the big brands have anything more than that, the FreedomWon with the Orion BMS (ie not the eTower) has the highest I am aware of at 200mA.

  • Chris_S changed the title to Seplos BMS v2 10E is amazing.

Just wanted to ask, I am busy testing the voltages on the Seplos V2 10E bms to make sure I have connected it correctly. I measure on the black clip first black wire and move across, it increases by +_ 3.2v per pin which is correct, then I move across to the white pin, I keep my meter's lead on the white pin first black pin and I measure the first black pin on the white clip and it shows like 26v, is that correct as they basically both negative terminals, the first black pin connect to the main negative of the pack, the first black pin of the white cable connects to the negative of cell 9?

May be place picture of where the white and black pins are for us that don't have such a BMS.

Hi @Scorp007

Thanks for the reply, I managed to find a YouTube video of a guy building a battery with the same BMS, at around 5min into the video he confirms what I have measured and says it is correct. For any DIY battery builders this guys channel is very good.

Good for you. I hope you have looked at the video posted earlier in Sep that shows how the SOC for this BMS can jump from 96 to 100% in seconds even using a large bank.

A nother point is also how the charge current is limited to 10A in a certain condition.

Then a last point was how the battery is constantly being charged/discharged to a load even if there is a lot of available PV available.

Meter neg lead goes to the first black wire on black plug. Meter positive lead moves up the black plug then the white plug.

Thanks @Scorp007 I will have to go through all that, battery is alive. What I wanted to ask is do you have this BMS and if so how do you connect to the Bluetooth I am using the BMS app but it keeps saying

"Please click the right top button to edit" but there is no right top button.

No i don't. I am using the JK.

Let's hope @Chris_S sees the question and helps out.

I would guess the right top button is only after you have the APP open and working.

It will keep saying that until you login and scan the BT connection.

Strange thing the App connected with username admin and no password, the pc software logged in with username admin and password admin? Does anybody have the settings for the Apexium/Seplos V2 10E settings they using with the SunSynk inverter maybe can share the settings with me.

Does anybody have the pinouts for the inverter side and the battery side for the CAN cable from the battery BMS to the inverter? Thanks

Pinouts are in bms manual and inverter manual.

What inverter do you have?
