Hi @Mika,

Thank you for your share.

Since you posted this update, are there any newer versions for the same model?

This exact firmware applies to VM IV-4000 TWIN too, so I'm very interested in any updates for U1 or U2. I currently have U1 (60.05) U2 (39.09) installed on my inverter.

Best Wishes,

Tarek

HI

Is there any disadventages in 60.05 firmware?

Not that I'm aware of. I just like to keep every software up to date! It's a sort of good practice in software.

I have updated my MPP Solar 6048MT (I believe it's Axpert VM III 6KVA) to 60.05 firmware.

It seems that MPPT algorithm is a little bit better on cloudy days than my previous version 56.97, but still far from perfect.

There is a new bug, it seems that I can't increase "L2 turn-off battery voltage " above 45.9V. It was working on previous firmware.]

Maybe someone else can check?

Hello.
I have an MPPSolár 4024MT inverter, (Axpert VM III Twin 4Kw)
It measured the current of the grid in incorrectly and when it switched to the bypass mode, it charged the battery with a constant 4A if voltage appeared on the PV input, even though the grid charging was disabled.
I received a new firmware for this from MPPSolár, which has been fixed.
But he has some problems.
It measures the current of the battery incorrectly, with a difference of 2A, and still charges the battery from the grid by 1-2 A
other than that it works fine.

There is also on this forum 60.06 firmware patched by Coulomb.

firmware 60.66 that fixes charging from the grid .

But I do not know if it is better than yours.

60.87 is the latest; in order latest to oldest: 60.87, 60.95, 60.89, 60.06, 60.76, 60.05, 60.74, 60.04, 60.66, 60.90.

[ Edit Sep 2024: Added more versions. 60.87 is now the latest; was 60.89. ]

@roadrunner79, you might be deterred by the "4024" at the start of the file name; these VM firmwares handle at least 3 power levels at once. In this case, 6000/4000/1500 W. At power-on, the resistance at a particular analog input pin determines what model hardware the firmware is running on. So it's a 4 kW firmware and a 6 kW firmware and a 1.5 kW firmware all at the same time.

Weird, so they reintroduced this wrong behavior? My (much older) 60.66 firmware made it fully stop charging from grid if "Only solar" is selected

After searching this forum, I didn't find any firmware with version number 70.04 for VM III Twin or VM IV Twin, and I didn't even hear of such a version for these models.

Are you sure you don't mean version 60.04 instead? It's available in other posts, but it is very old now.

@Coulomb thank you very much for clarifying this. I would have fallen for the same confusion later on after my VM IV Twin got the new firmware of version 70.00

This is totally expected from a team of amateurs not following any standards in software production, producing firmware with random versioning scheme for a huge collection of hardware. Thanks to you, it would've been impossible to differentiate between them without you. I'm glad you're here!

I'm not aware of anything later. [ Edit: Sigh. I overlooked 60.89, which is slightly later than 60.06. ]
