Tuesday at 04:302 days I logged a request last year in October for Solis to enable ability to view FreedomWon eTower:Accurate multiple Battery cycles - on App and Web portal - still nothing has been doneBattery packs (number of single module core strings - on App and Web portal - still nothing has been doneNumber of Battery Modules in Series - on App and Web portal - still nothing has been doneKindly assist and attend to this as this needs you to work with FreedomWon R&D team, thank you.

Today it's 10,000 on another day it had come down so clearly there's an issue with accurate comms and or capture of data either by inverter or being sent by the battery FreedomWon eTowers. I've also attached screen shot with circles in RED of area that have no info.I've also closed off personal info so that any update is done, not just for me but for ALL comms between FreedomWon eTower batteries and Solis S6 pro hybrid inverters and I know, not everyone is interested in granular information as much as I am, but it's important to have it. 6 hours ago6 hr Hello Everyone,The core issue here is not with the Solis inverter hardware or firmware it’s with what data the battery’s BMS actually sends to the inverter via the CAN bus.Why Freedom Won eTower shows limited information:The Freedom Won BMS only transmits a limited set of data points to the Solis basic SoC, voltage, current, charge/discharge limits, etc.Detailed parameters that Moffat is looking for such as individual pack cycles, number of battery modules in series, core strings, and granular per-module data are simply not being reported by the Freedom Won BMS in the CAN messages for the Solis profile.Solis can only display what the BMS sends. If the BMS doesn’t include that data, the app and web portal will show blanks or incorrect values e.g. fluctuating cycle counts.Freedom Won would need to release a BMS firmware update that expands the CAN data set for Solis compatible profiles. This is something they have done in the past for other issues. Kynee batteries for example:Kynee batteries use a more advanced/smart BMS that actively populates all the available fields that Solis supports including detailed cycle information, module counts, etc.Their BMS is better aligned with the richer data protocol that Solis expects, so everything shows up correctly on the Solis Cloud app and portal.Note on other popular brands: Some other popular battery brands also show similar limitations with detailed data on Solis it ultimately comes down to how comprehensive their BMS implementation is.Point is: Solis inverters rely heavily on the battery manufacturer’s BMS to supply rich, accurate data. When the BMS is comprehensive like Kynee, you get excellent visibility. When it’s more limited as with the current Freedom Won eTower, you only see what the BMS provides.Freedom Won has a good track record of resolving these things via remote firmware updates it might be worth tagging them directly or contacting their support to request an expanded Solis CAN profile. Here are a couple of examples of BMS Reporting on the Solis Cloud and you will note the many different and incorrect bms reporting issues this spans over 4 Battery brands on different sites. Some report battery pack count incorrectly others report Battery capacity incorrectly or temperatures incorrectly the point is the Battery BMS dictates what values are reported.

It's not an inverter issue if the BMS does make the info available to it. The comms betwen inverter and BMS is largely dictated by the BMS. @Moffat did you log a ticket with Freedom Won at all? It's where I would start, if I had your issue.

I continually engaged FreedomWon over many months and they in turn blamed Solis team for not their unavailability, now whether that is true or not, I have never been able to verify it hence raising it here that this issue has been outstanding since last year October (2025) when I first raised it including official tickets with FreedomWon, which they kept insisting on closing and eventually went quiet. Previously I was not even able to get the basic information such as:Total Battery capacity (Ah) for more than one module - this was fixedTotal Battery capacity (kWh) - I requested if this could be received on the Solis inverter automatically - this is still done manuallySo the question is whether @Solis Inverters SA got any joy from FreedomWon or not and clearly since this outstanding, it means someone somewhere dropped the ball or thought my request was not important. What FreedomWon sent me was a RS232 cable so I can get information directly off each battery module and information for diagnostic purposes and I even recommended that since that cable is difficult to buy maybe it be sold together with their battery modules.Their distributor was not willing to assist me, in the first instance, as I had bought the battery directly from the @Powerforum Store. My battery had a loom issue and fortunately FreedomWon had a technician travelling to train the distribution personnel and in Zimbabwe and during that time he was able to then resolve my battery issue under warranty, so am very grateful to them for that.I not had any issues with the FreedomWon batteries reliability, to be fair, but I always want to be aware of issues before they escalate or deteriorate, hence having granular information is important, at least to me. Battery sellers and installers (some but not all) are normally interested only in the initial sale and after service is asking for the moon, clearly. So that's my backstory to raising the issue here.

Last comms I did on the matter was in January 2026 with team at Solis Zimbabwe support and it's always a back and forth blame game till eventually I got frustrated and tired. 5 hours ago5 hr I personally don't like it when a manufacturer, supplier or distributor comes onto these forums and post to tell us how great they or their product is and how much they care (biggest lie ever). If they post something like the above then they must be willing to respond to questions being asked on the specific post. They treat it as their own personal advertising board without taking the responsibility. I believe if they post here then the admins of these forums must enforce responsibility rules and remove their "advertisement" posts if they don't respond.I am in the process of upgrading my system to a bigger inverter and battery and I am in the research phase. I remember how Sunsynk ( @Keith Gough @David Drake ) treated their customers and that will affect my decision. I am watching the other guys as well.I see some activity from Solis on the forums lately so why haven't you responded on this post yet, @Solis Inverters SA ?

You correctly raised the issue with Freedom Won, and you need to hold them accountable for a solution. There can only be one accountable entity, not two. It sounds to me like you believed their excuses and became a ping pong ball.

I have advised a number of potential buyers to stay away from certain suppliers (brands...), and in doing so have saved a few million Rands from being spent on the wrong brands and suppliers. If companies that advertise on public forums would only perform as well as they advertise, things would be much better for everyone, including financially for those businesses...
