You only have a single Axpert installed - correct? I just noticed from your pictures that your inverter is in 'Master' mode ('HS' on the display), which means that it is set to parallel use with multiple inverters. I would recommend switching it to 'Single' mode to avoid potential misbehaving. Happy to post details on how to do this if you require

It says the same on my MKS 5K display. How can I change it?

I purchased it as a single stand alone unit but it was delivered with the parallel board and parallel connection cables. I did not bother about and left the board installed.

By the way, my Axpert on the invoice was delivered with the name Synerji. Is this a re-brand or a clone?

Thank you in advance for your advice.

Hi @Beat,

It's relative easy. Goto setting 28 on the LCD screen. You will not find it!!!

You will only see it, once you put the unit in "Standby" mode, i.e. flip the little rocker switch on the bottom on the unit. Then change setting 28 from "PAL" to "SIG" and it will become a slave.

You can leave the card in the unit. Save's the hassle putting it back if and when you go parallel. Depends on your future requirements.

I do not know. Based on the info from the AEVA forum, I would say it looks like a re-brand - however, I do not understand the comment further down in that post about Synerji. Maybe @Coulomb can help us understand?

Thank you folks for your help. Tomorrow I will make the change.

Please excuse for the multiple appearance of my post. I got confused because on my screen after hitting the Reply button  my reply came back with the Submit Reply button. It made me think that the reply did not get accepted. Therfore I repeated it several times.

I'm pretty certain that they are work-alikes, not even clones. Though the Synerji label in the photo certainly looks convincingly Axpert-like. Perhaps they have been reading my "own a clone" post, and fixing up every detail. I did worry about that possibility. If so, that would make them more responsive than Voltronic Power, ironically.

@Chris Hobson had one for a week or two, and posted a video on its operation. I don't have time to dig it up just now. He was not happy with it, and returned it. My recollection is that the display was different (I recall a yellow backlight, for example), but I think that there were more substantial differences, as well as actual operational differences.

What surprised me is that the printed manual that came along is a copy paste with the downloaded Axpert manual. I later purchased an Axpert remote panel and that worked well with the Synerji Inverter. Until I burned the communication board. Im desespered to find a replacement in ZA. I addressed all shops that repair inverters but non one has that spare. Can anybody help with this?

Nop, they couldn't help me. But I got it just now from Set Solar ([email protected]). And it works.

They sent me along a parallel board I did not ask for and I have no use for. If anybody is in need of such even with parallel connection cables he can have it.

Good day. Wanted to find out the outcome of this conversation.  I recently installed rentech/axpert vmll 5k inverter with solar panels. Currently running on lead acid batteries and would like to use the batteries for load shedding only. Inverter has three priority settings, utility, sub and sol. Neither has battery as a third option. Anyways around this with different settings? Worried using the batteries for the shortfall of the pv with reduce the batteries life significantly. Much Appreciated in advance

Sorry I have been on the road and could not answer.

You need to contact Wolfandy on this forum.

I changed to Victron after my batteries fried - I could never quite understand the Axpert settings or instructions. Somewhere along the first year all 4 my 180 amp batteries fried.

The Inverter then stopped working properly re the solar charging. It could operate as a mains charger but did not work off the panels.

So I had violated one of my own iron rules of life and paid for it - Goedkoop koop is duurkoop.
