100% - however If I was looking for a set of additional B3 batteries - I would have to look in the used market. This is exactly what I did - and could not find any available.
I received a quote for a brand new battery @ R16k. I also fully appreciate that there are later models that are well priced. These are for someone that might want to add more capacity to their existing B3 battery stack.
I am completely negotiable on my price.

I bought one in March last year and have been happy enough to purchase a second a few months ago for a very good price from GWStore. I am considering getting a third some time in the (hopefully not too distant) future.

Anyway sorry i was i bit harsh, but we all have our days.

I think at some stage LI-ION was used as a broader word to say Lithium family, i do recall when i bought them i spoke to Segen and they confirmed LIFePO4.

Thanks for the video. My specs indicate it starts at 27.3V and maximum is 0.7A as per the specs.
In my case my batteries are charged mostly to 80/90% and this is below 27.3V for 2 in series. This is then below the start level.
So I created my own problem but luckily the HA02 solved my problem.

If you want to use Victron balancers on lfp no problem i had a bad experiences using them on lfp so i won't use them on lithuim again. Below from the Victron Community Forum seems i am not the only one that had a bad experience.

I have used a few 1kW Fivestar PWM Solar inverters (Soltech) ones, the are very good. 800W solar input. And quiet. They retail for about R3250 of sometimes even less. or (MUST 1kW also option) And a Gel battery in budget (Goldshine  at china malls etc. actually good batteries although the chinese name suggests otherwise), then R5500. Will have a very nice little setup with solar. Aslo you CAN set cutoff voltages to protect the GEL battery!

Or a "UPS" type like Sunmagic build in charger .battery and cheapie solar controller.

I have previously used Victron balancers on the CFE 12v drop in batterys and Linergy 12v drop in, in series to achieve 24v they balance when charging but as soon as utility disconnects from inverter(islanding)it disconnect the inverter due to bms disconnecting on overcurrent. I changed the balancers to HA02 and works perfectly. The Victron balancers are for series connected lead type batteries.

Good price i see they are 1C cells should you need it.
Unfortunately you can't use the Victron balancers on lfp batteries.

I must say, the prices they selling the Luxpower SNA 5000 for now (Sub R12k even saw sub R11k) it is easy to see why lots of people opt to go Luxpower SNA. You can even later parallel another SNA for 10kW and still only marginally more than one Sunsynk 5kW. Luxpower app is very good, regular updates/improvements, there was again an update just a few days ago.

If you compare full hybrids, the Luxpower LXP and Synsynk/Deye i would go Deye.

My Budget option to start would be:
    1x Luxpower SNA 5000 R12k
    1x SVolt 51.V 106Ah 1C R18k
    Total R30k plus installation.
Add Jinko 555W R2400 per panel at least 4, pref 6.

jlr got a reaction from Morena in Luxpower + Hubble versus Kodak OGS + Kodak Battery
@Morena I have a Kodak at my house running already 2 years, no hassles.

My brother installed a Luxpower SNA5000 and, i must say very nice inverter. It has a very nice app and you can do remote setting, monitoring even remote firmware updates. I would go for the Luxpower. The luxpower also are parallel compatible for later upgrade. But then the Kodal also.

The Luxpower are compatible with most batteries, my brother have a cheaper SVolt battery and even that battery works with full comms etc. Very cool.

As for the sell all and buy Sunsynk... why all you will get extra are possible bidirectional capabilities. If you want to do that then good option. But why spend more money for just another 5kW, unless you go for the 8kW. But i would rather buy more batteries or panels and leave the Luxpower as is. They are really good, my opinion as good as Sunsynk just cheaper. LXP Luxpower are also bidirectional.
BTW whisch model Luxpower is in the new house? SNA or LXP?

This battery has been tested with the following. inverters.

Does it also work with SVolt 5.09Kwh 106ah batteries?
I’m asking, because if you would know if it communicates with Victron, Sunsynk, INVT, Mega Revo, Deye, Growatt and a few more. Its sends CCl, DCl and charge voltage correctly like the CHINT 106ah battery?
I received mine unit 2 days ago. Haven’t tested comms yet. Got all those inverters except Deye in my Test/Training room, just need to move the battery from inverter to inverter. Its a bit disappointing that they moved a batch of 15cell into the market though they have 16cells available.
The one they have available now is 48volt 15Cell, I am after the 51.2volt 16Cell.
    replied back.
Coms tested on DCL, CCl and charge voltage on Victron, Sunsynk, Mega Revo, INvt. Working as expected.

So the SVolt 5.09Kwh 106ah works on BMS with all the listed inverters above (bar the Deye was'nt tested, but will work I'm sure).

If you look at the logo, Conderergy and Conderenergy has the same logo, although Conderenergy doesnt feature the smaller batteries on their site, only the 48V SVOLT one, and from this is rebranding - The SVOLT rebranded as Conderenergy. So I dont know which battery the smaller one is a rebrand of.
All I do know is that my mother has one , 24V 100ah and so far so good.
I personally have the 51.2V SVOLT one and I also don't have any complaints, early days though.
I also see that Leroy Merlin has some conderergy panels, and those are also not on the conderenergy website, so my guess is not all their products are listed there.

    Hi all,
    New to this.
I just recently purchased a new Svolt 5.09Kwh 48v 106ah Wall Mounted Battery and was going to purchase the Luxpower LXP Hybrid 5K Inverter. I sent them an email to see if it’s possible to get it compatible with a cable modification or something else and was given a few words about what’s possible.
You can leave it as lead acid mode and limit charge voltage and floating voltage according to battery manual.
Which doesn’t sound like a good option for me, so my main question here is what other hybrid inverter (reasonably priced) that I can look at that will be compatible.
I’m preferably looking for IP65 (higher humidity is the main reason), I’m less than one kilometer from the coast, but it’ll be in the garage out of weathering conditions.
    Wifi/GPRS Internet access.
Something similar to what I already was looking for, hybrid-backup for the load-shedding .
I would appreciate all the help, thanks.
    Regards

jlr reacted to GreenMan in [SALE] Mecer 200Ah Lithium Battery
    Yes, it will work. I have a 12V 100A LiFePo4 connected to a 720w Mecer inverter.
However, the charge switch MUST only be set to 10A and not 20A. If you do that, the inverter will eventually fail. This is well documented in the mybroadband thread.
Other small catch is that if you drain the battery enough, then the battery BMS will turn off the battery. When the power comes back the inverter won't turn on as there is no battery voltage and hence cannot start charging the battery. Solution is to use a voltage source that is high enough e.g. 13.8V and connect it momentarily to the inverter battery terminals. This will wake up the BMS and allow the inverter to turn on and charging to commence.
For safety I only use a power supply that is isolated e.g. ye olde transformer based psu.
Yes the Mecer does charge the battery at below the ideal 14.0V but so far so good and if necessary I will hook up a 14.0V (isolated) PSU
to the battery to let the BMS balancer do its thing. 14.2 V is probably even better.
