HennieJH
I would like to know if anyone else have had any issues with ReVOV batteries. My ReVOV batteries (10.24kWh pack) are merely 14 months old, delivered 1892kWh to date, and have had several issues with batteries just shutting down, and battery cells voltages being out of range. So after paying R40000 for the battery and only getting 1892 units from it, that is a whopping R21.14/unit. And I thought Eskom power was expensive. Truely disappointed with the REVOV batteries. Will never buy or recommend the batteries.
Gerrie
I have never used revov before but have heard they are second life batteries, that is basically second hand batteries that are re-built into a new enclosure. These are batteries from electric vehicles that are re-used in a second life. I personally would not buy them unless the price is very low. HennieJH
Learning the hard way. I have only had trouble so far, finding no joy with the batteries.

Alistair at BlueBattery
Why didn't they take it back from you. R40k isn't small money.

My 100Ah 2nd life do still provide about 110Ah after more than 2yrs of light use. 2nd life are cells that meet some tested criteria. 2nd hand can be any condition and even scrap. Just like a 2nd hand car. My batteries seem to be doing much better than many member's new cells. zsde
TaliaB
I agree with @Scorp007. I am testing Revov 12v 200ah for a project to be used in a yacht . The 4 Revov batteries on test at the moment went through various tests of which one was a vibration test. The setup 4x 12v 200ah connected 2s2p for 24v 400ah(10kwh) I run variable load test on the batteries, charging with solar only during the day. The test inverter is a RCT 3kva VMIII set up SBU and OSO so the battery only gets charged via 6 x 330w solar panels connected 6S1P(Voc 282V). The Victron Smart Shunt has counted 9 cycles thus far and the batteries are delivering as expected with cell delta of <5mv. The bluetooth makes it a dream to follow cell balancing. I would stick my neck out and say i find these batteries the best i have test compared to CFE, Linergy and Vestwoods. Some screen shots of the test running at the moment. Above screenshot from SA discharged total thus far 2269Ah at this moment discharging at ~400w. Edited January 25 by TaliaB zsde

How many cycles do you expect to put them through before installing? zsde
TaliaB
I will keep the test running until March when i am back in Cpt luckily my wife knows the emergency shut down procedure in case of emergency. I would like to test it up to 40cycles that will bring total cycle count to ~ 90. Scorp007
TaliaB
Fyi. Spoke to my wife in Cpt and asked her to switch the kettle on in the cottage where the 3kva system is connected just to show how capable these Revov batteries are, below graphs and stats from SA Spys
