  1. There are other posts on this forum of people complaining about the quality of those Omnipower batteries. Do a search around.
  2. What inverter? I think the Growatts behave this way by design.
  3. @Steve87, please tell me how the supporting structure was designed? Did someone calculate loads etc. or the poles and the beams were just put together according to the size of the panels?
  4. I have no idea. Maybe ask @TaliaB. Segen supplied me with gG fuses for my Hubble as well and that's what I'm using.
  5. They are probably talking about gS rated fuse and not gG as per @TaliaB post here:
  6. Do you have anything to backup this claim? And please no links to YouTube clips. Only cold facts about Hubble NMC batteries safety issues specifically?
  7. Any manufacturer can have faulty cells. The issue is how they resolve the problem. My Hubble with the NMC cells and charging to whatever the BMS tells it, is still working perfectly and still on 100% SOH.
  8. Since they are asking you for PV green card, please ask the Johannesburg branch manager for a copy of his/hers electrical degree.
  9. How long does it take to be repaired under warranty if faulty? 6 months? 🤪

The price in the link is the retail price from Solarway Suppliers and not their wholesale price. I have personally bought from them before as a private person without any company registration with them. As for transport, if one doesn’t have access to a bakkie, there are plenty of guys standing with bakkies around every Builders and they are not that expensive. But anyway, good luck with your sale! Sorry for derailing the thread.

Canadian Solar 545W for R2449: https://www.solarwaysuppliers.co.za/product/canadian-solar-545w-panel/ @Flouw you need to brush up your Google search skills 🤣
  12. Check for reverse polarity. Also measure the voltage at the MC4 connectors right before connecting to the inverter.
  13. You cannot control those ATS switches by applying power on the input in your picture. That input only supplies power for the NO/NC/COM relay but cannot control the switch itself. It's only for communication purposes.
  14. On the SunSynk the password is 7777. Try that.
  15. From what I see in the pictures the L bracket allows for adjustment of the rails height and levelling. If you mount rails directly on the brackets, that won’t be possible unless you use some sort of shims.
  16. It should be identical to your diagram. You just replace the battery with the solar panels +/-
  17. @BobTheDinosaur here is the link for the full manual: https://www.jasolar.com/uploadfile/2022/0218/20220218094931164.pdf
  18. I don't think the rails are allowed to be installed like that, when the panels are in landscape mode. And I'm not sure, if the warranty on the panels will be valid, if they are installed in an unsupported mode. I have exactly the same panels but I installed my rails vertically. I think, you are using Renusol rails and brackets and you will need a special 90deg piece in order to re-orient the rails: https://www.solar-shop.co.za/renusol-mounting-systems/246-uk-m8-bracket-90.html Here is the supported mounting methods from JA Solar installation manual:
  19. Go for the Hubbles, if 2 batteries are enough for your needs. That extended warranty on the SunSynk is more of a marketing trick, in my opinion.
  20. Yes, keep us updated. Very strange issue.
  21. Lol 😀 What's the use? They have only 1 panel at that price and it's damaged!
  22. PowerUser replied to L_D's topic in Solar Power
Post the exact specs for the panels.
  23. The max MPPT range on Deye 5kW is 425V. 10 of those 460W panels might produce magic smoke from the inverter on a cold bright day.
  24. The cheapest 555W, I have seen at the moment are these ones: https://www.inverter-warehouse.co.za/products/jinko-solar-panel-tiger-555w-mono-facial next option is these: https://www.solarwaysuppliers.co.za/product/canadian-solar-545w-panel/
