Deye Hybrid Inverter - Settings to Control Battery Charge Source
The time of use settings as mentioned, there's tickboxes for the SOC you want and whether it should use Grid to reach it by time

Using and Inverter Generator with a Sunsynk Inverter(s)
AFAIK the Smart Load port can be used for this, you limit the generator draw to XXX watts and it can draw power to charge batteries and blend usage with panels, battery and generator as needed

What should 455watt Canadian solar panels produce at peak with max sunlight?
As suspected String2 is doing jackall though would need to see during Peak-sun-hours on a good day to absolutely confirm
-
Esener lithium battery
At least SunX has the handles too😆

What should 455watt Canadian solar panels produce at peak with max sunlight?
4s 6s? I'd expect around 4k peak Sounds suspiciously like you're only getting 1 string worth Can you view your string wattages? Sufficient voltage from the 2nd string?

Need to buy a 5kw system and not sure what to buy
Looks like an OEM brand, they have a few rebrands

Sunsynk Parallel & microinverters
Could just add a grid-tie inverter if the idea is to just add more solar power if your inverters are near max?

My Inverter setup only last 30min
Yah,drop-ins are typically 12v to replace 12v LAs
-
3kW trolley inverter + solar
You'll put them in Series to reach the MPPT startup voltage likely Tally up the Voc of the panels and check the inverter MPPT startup voltage

Hubble Lithium Battery AM-2 5.5kWh
Are your dip switches and comms cable set right? My installer mucked up the 2nd battery install similarly

Lucky Draw!
Thanks again for the goodies! Now I need to get my ass in gear and redo my home setup to use HA so I can properly use this🤣 I already have everything wired out in my brain

Hubble Lithium Battery AM-2 5.5kWh
I've run to 5% initially to reset, but 28Ah is a bit low for a reading even from 20% charge What's your charge settings? You should be reading 53.6v at full 42v at 0 and 44v at "back to grid" Set to User/Voltage,Float + bulk 53.6v and let it run down and charge full
-
Hubble Lithium Battery AM-2 5.5kWh
Set your inverter to User/Voltage mode, run the battery down below 20% ( <44v ) then charge back up to reset the SOC

Filter out disconnects on 220v relay
A little Loadshed detector they stiched together, has a open/shut mechanism on the grid circuit, and the inverter/backup circuit handles the brains and wifi Good goodies to use to "shut off" big loads on backup power

Work-from-home is a good usecase for daytime usage I'd go hybrid inverter, 2.5/5kWh battery storage 6 - 12 panels. You can save battery for loadshed periods outside of Peak-sun-hours and extra savings when loadshedding isn't a concern You could do the inverter, battery and some panels temporary mounted in the yard with a trolley setup, but that might be icky looking and inconvenient

How much of that cost is fixed cost vs utilization? Most family usage is outside of Solar-availability (6am-8am,4pm-7pm),so if your usage follows a similar pattern your savings without a battery will be relatively low Solar without battery = good for 9am to 3pm power savings Also "permanent" installation if you don't diy is pretty expensive,so installing removing and reinstalling won't get ROI
