  4. Hi Maxomill use this. Q=mc (T1-T2) /3600 . Q = Energy Kwh needed to raise water temp from T1 to T2. . m = mass of water . 300 kg c= specific heat of water (4.19 kj / kg/ C) 300 lt with 3 Kw element heat 9 degrees C per hour . Without any sun We have a 100 lt geyser with 1 plate collecter ( 2 .2 ) and on very hot days have to releas some hot water 78 degrees . Sunny winterday 50 -56 degrees.

This Meccer branded inverter produced March 2018 firmware 74 20 is realy a beter inverter . Battery charging is much beter . The 7 days using it the early morning battery voltage is up by 0.2 volt . The rasing of input watts when applying loads is very smooth . No matter what happens bulk does not fall away . Greetings all

Thanks Pilotfish now i know how to calculate the Bulk charging time for setting 32 on inverter . This setting works to the min the inverter reaches bulk charge voltage . Does not go away even if high loads is applied during bulk/absorb charge . Thanks again
  8. Thanks Chris I learn something everyday . My maths teacher when doing T2 always said the more you learn the more you find out how little you know . The H0 - 02 from Chris R is installed on my main system is and doing well . Thanks .
  9. Thanks Chris the batteries are marked seald . I would like to know what is best for them . Checked the balance between the 8 of them 12.60v to 12.63v after resting for 2 hours . Early morning voltage before charging 24.9 v- 25 v . These are 3 year old batteries that do only small loads , Big freezer 372 kW/ year . Just want to make the best use of them before I sell them for scrap .
  10. I have a Royals batterybank on another inverter 3kva that cannot reach equalising charge . If this inverter can do a good charge it will help a lot
  11. Hi everyone . Does some one have experience of Axpert 5kva/5000watt with 4000 watt mppt , firmware 74 - 20. Setting 32 Bulk charging time option (1) inverter to judge option (2) 5 to 900 min . Setting 33 Battery equalisation. (1) Equalise. (2) Disable Setting 34 Equalise voltage 58.5v - 64 v Setting 35 Equalise time default 60 min or 5 - 900 min Setting 36 Equalise time out default 120 min or 5 - 900 min Setting 37 Equalisation interval default 30 days or 0 -90 days Setting 38 Neutral to ground setting Setting 39 Equalisation activated immediately I Realise the settings are dependent of the battery type . Does anybody have any experience if settings are reliable .

  14. The faulty inverter is 3 years old . Added 2 nd inverter 3 weeks ago . The room temp not more than 28 Celcuis . Checked the breaker on 2 nd inverter seems fine . The inverter never work hard rarely exceeded 50 % of capacity . Sins adding the 2nd inverter maximum load 3500 watt . We switch the 1 inverter and utility off at night . This happened in the morning when we switched it on . Opened inverter no visible damage .Thanks for your reply .
  15. Thanks my supplier is not reliable . Have closed down . Tanks for the offer , we will cope . Running the other inverter, no tumble dryer for a while . Will think of a swap-out inverter when budget allows .
  16. Thanks . I have 2 breakers 63 amps . The reason why i suspected that the inverter is faulty is there was very little load at the time and when I did reset the breaker there was a flash at the breaker . I have removed the inverter but will do a test on the breaker . If you know a good supplier and maintenance guy it will always help in future . There is no knowledge and suppliers in Heidelberg .
  17. Please help . 2 Axperts running in parallel . Was running good . This morning after switching the 2nd inverter on , it worked for a few minutes then the breaker between the inverter and the battery bank trip . I Reset the breaker a few minutes later , trips immediately . Does anybody know a reliable service company in East Rand , Gauteng area . Hope this is not serious . No smells or smoke . Help will be appreciated .
  18. Like the idea of wiring high power equipment to grid . No mistakes possible . I have a 40 Amp plug witch is used for welding , I dont want to overload the inverter . My wife have a remote Axpert display in the kitchen . She nou knows when what is avialable . Now she also likes solar .

  21. Also had a problem with this guy . After fighting , begging for months i was received wrong equipment at half the value I paid . Never again .
  22. Thank you for your advice Chris , Plonkster , Pilotfish . The 2 x Axpert in parallel with 6 x 3 strings 250 watt is running . Had only one problem . System was performing bad until I picked up in one of the manuals that a parallel system can only run SBU or Utility ( Program 1 ) We have a lot of cloudy days lately but this morning was bright sunshine . I am happy with the system . Is it really worthwhile to upgrade the firmware . Currently running 52 - 30
  23. Have a set of 8 x 150 Ah . Lead Crystal batteries Betta batteries from Deltec . Part of the maintenace program is to discharge the batteries 70 - 80 % and then recharge them every 6 months . I have the spec to charge the batteries . It is stated that this prosess must be done in +- 8 hours . Please can somebody tel me what is a safe discharge rate . After 1 year I am verry satisfied with these batteries performance . I have used Trojans before and as benchmark the Betta do very well .
