@Solaris can you give more info maybe about the unit. Does it cut solar side of the input of the mppt or the battery side. If it's from the solar input side and it cuts the solar, then i think it can work. What do you think @plonkster and @Stanley ?

If remember correct, it was a bit common problem with the pylontech batteries that the last one in the chain sometimes gives problems. If i recall it correct I think someone said that you need to swap 1 and 4 arround. Just check if this will work and help.

@DeepBass9 MLT inverter will work for this where it will blend all the loads. The powerstar is design with a separate generator input and i think the Oasis to. MLT new powerstar model is out to. @Stanley will give you more info arround the MLT setup.

You can check how close is mine just by keeping the volts in the middel and the charging amps between 10 and 30 amps.

@RikH what found with this sort of bms and with the lifepo4 batteries, if you charge to high volts, the battery protect kicks in, thats, 3.75v and when it switch off the protection 3.55v and the ballance is like 30mA, so it takes supper long on 120ah cell. So what happens is, cells charge, one starts getting close to the over charge protection, the bms cuts the charge, now it waits for the cell to drop, while yhe other ballance but they don't get to level out because just as the over protect switch off that over charge cell starts to run away again. And this keeps going on and on. Why i know this, my bms got n digital display that shows me all the info on every sell and i can check this via bluetooth to and i can adjust all the settings on the bms On my 16s setup i founded that if you bring the charge volts down a bit, in my case 54.6v boost and float at 53.6v, the cells start stable out because there is now cell running away. They say with the 16s i can charge up to 58v but found out quickly at 56v that it will not work.

Nope. It takes some time for the cells to settle. At what volt rate did you charge? Dont go try and charge them at full rate. Then the bms protection starts kicking in to prorect if n cell starts running away.

Nice. So you got the array to charge that size. I will say adjust your charging amps down about so that you don't push the batteries to hard, will shorten the life of your batteries. It's a bit of a playing game and adjusting till you find the rite spot for charging. Like with my setup, I'm running a DIY 120ah lifepo4 with Microcare 60a MPPT with 2.9kw array and say on a good sunny day the lifepo4 setup is fully charge between 10am and 11am. The last 20ah of charging the mppt runs between 10 and 20amps amd this helps the cells to level out. Will see when i got my second lifepo4 setup running and connected second mppt and with winter time. What size victron mppt's is it?

I spotted with my 120ah lifepo4 setup that they are happy at 54.2v with about 30amps of charging, this with the mppt. In the morning. Bulk charge is set at 60amps max for 1h30m but it doesn't get close to that max, with float it's set at 53.8v and it runs between 10 and 20amps till it's full. @CDL what size array and MPPT are you running? You say you got 2 sets of the 200ah revolve units?

The definitely running mix AC and DC there. Correct way and the pro's can add more and you can use this info for the person that needs correct it. Dc must be in it's own tranking and AC the same. Check that there is PV fuse combiner box with isolater switch, from the PV combiner box proper cable toe mppt, from mppt 35mm2 that is crimp and lugs to Bus bar. From bus bar you run the batteries that is connected and the inverter with 35mm2 " i will go 50mm2 for that". Between inverter and bus bar fuse breakers. Do what plokster inform, pull back om mppt amps so that can reduce the amps on that small cables for the time. If you can sort it out your self and knoe how to, then start with it. Sad to see that installer slipt up with proper stuff.

Can you maybe take a wider foto of this combiner box Please? Something is telling me they just connext the mppt battery out direct to the battery fuce breaker.

@JasonPrince 2 guys here @Jaco de Jongh and @plonkster, they the guys that will give you rite info and help you. Other thing i spotted and they can check it to, that looks like 25mm2 cable that's going in to the inverter, i compared it to the pylontech size in the cabinet. For a 8kw inverter you need to go a bit bigger then that.

Sounds like they installed under rated cable there. Post a photo of wiring running from the MPPT and inverter and batteries @JasonPrince. For that size MPPT and Inverter your need to look at 35mm2 cable and maybe a bit bigger.

aaaaa nice @jaqkar!! setup looks really nice!! Bain batterye i spot there. I got the same batteries. Quick question, is both inverters charging the batteries or only one. Fist thing first. Check with a volt meter every batterye. You maybe have one set batteries that is hitting top volts in the pack and then the BMS charge protection is kicking in. If i remember correctly the max charge with the dali is 3.75v and over charge release is 3.55v so the isn't space for volts to clime because the BMS kicks protection in on the charge side. Pull a bit back on the charge volts to 54.2 or 53.8v so that the other get time to level out. I spotted this with my setup where is can check every sell with my BMS and adjust the settings.

@GrimmyGrimReaper the problem is, the Microcare mppt settings is the problem, it can't adjust really low and the problem with the pylontech is that they charge really low volts and the there isn't really space for error with the unit. @plonkster can correct me but the charge rate of the pylons is 52.5v and max is 53.2 or 35.5 or something in that line, then the BMS cuts out. Your option is to send the mppt in to MC for the new software that you have more space to adjust the volts and charge or the other option is to the DIY way and get lifepo4 setup from lithiumbaterysa.co.za . I'm running there batteries with my MC mppt 60a and got the settings just rite to charge my lifepo4's correct with my BMS.

@Marv check under the error 09 post, you will see i posted some repair manuals of this units. All the info is there. I see you in CapeTown side. Let me know if you got it fixed, i got a 48v 5000w unit thats giving problem to. Luckily nothing burned but still cant get it running after replacing some stuff.

@Party Plant quick question, can you adjust the charge settings on the WRND? Then other thing, if you going to upgrade to new MPPT, then go for the MLT MPPT because it can connect with the Oasis and communicate with it and it's got all the lithium settings already on it. Victron wil work nice with it to, i spotted some people doing it. I'm running a Microcare mppts on my MLT powerstar but it's limited to adjust te settings super low but I'm running i DiY lifepo4 setup so it's fine for mine.

@BTFD what brand inverter and program are you using to get the data?
