  1. @Mad Mike are you in to the lithium diy game?
  2. Error 09 is like the error of death for this inverters. Mine gave that after 2months and never got it sorted. There is a thread on the forum about this. There is a place in JHB that claim they can repairs this stuff.
  3. You can youtube this stuff. They use air circuit breakers, big ones to open and close the system at the transfer-station. Now days this is been control by computers and a central system where someone sits and keeping a eye on the grid. My one friend dad is certified who needs to go to this places when they install this stuff and he needs to test and sign off then. Some guys will give more info.

  5. @Fazil and @plonkster i think you guys missed this part "LPGS12-100 12V 100Ah " It's normal Gel battery not lithium hehehehheheh
  6. @Youda it really looks like the Blue Nova batteries inside with all the BMS's and even battery statis screen on the front looks the same. Who did the built to order for you?
  7. Jip, they stock Shoto 48v 4.8kw at R25000 something
  8. While we on this nice subject of Lithium batteries like the Pylontech and other brands, I think we can have a nice discussion of all the brands of lithiums that the guys are using on the forum. Like @plonkster is using Victron lithium batteries, @Youda got a massive Pylontech stack and spotted some other brands to on the forum. I'm in the market for lithiums but spotted some problems that we have spoken on the other post, like charging volts and more stuff so now i need to make my options bigger and check what ells is there that i can run in my setup. The guys that are running other brands like the chine's imports and stuff, how are your findings on this brands and how is the performance of this batteries, like Narada, Shoto and more other brands. I know of the local Brands like BlueNova and MD solar and Freedom, you guys can give your inputs to on this that is using them. I have spotted this 48v 100amp 4.8kw that is sold locally and Probebatteries is importing there own stuff now to.
  9. Just spoke the guys at Bluenova. There batteries floating charge is 55v and get it fully charge after using it is 56.2v
  10. Thanks @Youda. So I guess I need to call Microcare tomorrow , and there service isn't not some of the best. I need to send my MPPT's of to them that they can upgrade the chips for lover volts settings.
  11. @Ironman i'm with on this one. I stuck between this to where i need to the-side because i want to go lithium and this will be Pylontech, but i'm running Microcare MPPT's and they can only go between 13.2v to 14.5v x 4 for Float and 13.5 and 16v x 4 Boost voltage. What will happen if you charge the Pylontech at 54v because the min Boost Voltage of the Microcare mppt is 54V . Float will be ok because min of Float on the MPPT is 52.8v. The question is what is the max and safe charge parameters of the Pylontech Lithium batteries. Some brands like BlueNova max is 56.2v.
  12. Nice find plonkster!!! I had the opportunity to get one like this for free and before i can go get it, they guy frow it away.

Mine made a high-pitched sound constantly till it went up in smoke. Like Badly. Got a amp pull/spike and took the hit because the battery didn't have all the supply to give. Just run a fuse on it on every channel that yours don't go up in smoke like mine. It takes day's to get rid of that smell.
  14. I have spotted the same that Jaco have spotted. And how do you know what wire from the pannels is + and -.
  15. I spotted the same. On the Microcare MPPT it show 56v but on my MLT inverter it will show on the MPPT solar input 56.4v. This can be a bit of a problem it you running Lithium with a BMS that can disconnect, and i'm planning to run 2 x 60 amp mppt's of them on lithium. Something I spotted on there website, is that you can actually connect the MPPT to a pc an do change and check it. here is the link, check the bottom of the post: http://microcare.co.za/data-acquisition-application/ All the protocol info there. I have the pins layout of the RJ12 that go's in to the MPPT. Who maybe got some info how the Microacare data acquisition cable looks inside. Maybe someone can use the protocol script to write a script for a Pi unit.

The I must drop @Jaco de Jongh a PM and find out what price I can get from him for the B2000 and 3000's.
  18. Gerlach replied to PaBz0r's topic in Inverters
@Ironman from who did you buy your Pylons from?
  19. Gerlach replied to PaBz0r's topic in Inverters
I spotted the review the other day and the one in June. What i like about the Pylon's is that you can buy and add more later on and they will not cost you arm every time but it's going to take you longer to get to a bigger set to Kw specs. Where with the 4.8kw and 5.12kw batteries and like the revov that is 10.2kw a set, in one buy you get some good kw's but it will cost you a arm and a leg and a kidney to upgrade to more Kw's later on. Still split between what to go for. It's allot of money.

hahahahahaha!!! looks like that!!! And i'm busy shopping around for Lithium and checking what my option will be for my MLT. Pylonteh or Revov or what i can find for a good price.

@Ironman you where nailing that Pylontech batteries 😮
  22. We missed it to but looks like we have maybe one from 12:00 - 2:30. Mine don't look so lekker after the HA-02 burned out, Looks like one of the batteries is on iets way out. Standing on 80%
  23. Load shedding is back!!! Report just came out. Go check you inverter and see how the Hz on the network going up and down, like bad.
  24. In March this year when we had that constant blackouts, my house started to do the same thing. The earth on the plugs side will trip, and when you switch on, the main breaker in the road box will trip. I got the keys of the outside main box , we stay in a estate and i'm a trustee, so every time o go switch it on again because i cant find the problem inside my house after testing everything. It kept doing this for 2 weeks, in the afternoon. One night the guy that stays two houses from me came to me and ask if our power is on after the power came on with a blackout. His is off, like everything, even the prepaid meter. Sam story, earth trips and when you switch it on, outside breaker and it's 83amp breaker. Next day i call the guys from the meters to come check because i was thinking the meter got hit with the blackout. Nope, his breaker was busy melting because the wire start going loos from the input side and arcing and this was leading that my side trip to. The hall main box wires was loos because the estate is about 5 years old and never check because of heat and cold that helps expanding the wires. Down the road the same story happen in the estate. Got a sparkie in to come check all the boxes for me and tight all the wire in the connects and switches. Problem solved after that.
