  2. Just check that the word photovoltaic is used and not pv. PV does conform anymore and full word is required. Dankie Meneer. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  3. Cool. I don't mind cutting out... thats the easiest. Sizes of labels is the issue but I have tried to size as appropriate. Vrou is fine but being stuck on farm not being able to drive for 6 weeks is going to the huge challenge...
  4. Hi @PaulF007 and ALL This is what I have at the moment. Vroutjie went and broke her leg yesterday so disruptions on the go... Feel free to comment or add .... It may still be good to get a price on the label kit from a local solar distributer (I see they some labels need to be reflective as well) - no time yet I'm afraid. I have my Microcare set as the following: 13.4 (therefore 53.6V) Float 13.5 (Therefore 54V) Bulk (manual equalise) My Axpert is at: 54.6 Float 56.4 Bulk The MC is therefore sitting doing not much until far past the point the bank has been bulked and is at float. It then slowly adds value until I get 7A from 480V at 17:00 in the afternoon.

The one will work harder to a point and then they will both work harder as the sun sets. I really think the solution is to face the strings in different directions so you spread the work and power generation across more of the day. My solution anyway. On a cloudy day they will both work - the nature of the deal I guess.

No problem at all... I do set my float voltage slightly lower for the smaller string (my Microcare 40A MPPT - 480W) and have that very close to the bulk level. That way I bulk and equalise with the larger string (facing NE) (Axpert 1800W) and the smaller string (WNW facing) comes in as support when the voltage drops to the float of the second MPPT. If you have them both the same they will get confused and they will jump between the 2.
  8. I have alot already - give me tommorrow and I'll have a sheet (I also have the attached to help me)... PV-Labeling-NEC-2014.pdf
  9. I'm going to fiddle tommorrow and I'll send you what I have at the moment. We can work together on it. I have no issue with then posting it to the downloads section...<typing thoughtfully> ...for other users to freely use. If you can help with printing to sticky sheet that would be mooi. A4 yes. The way to go!! You then cut and stick where needed. Thanks Mark
  10. Hi All I'm looking for a PDF document with the South African PV Labels which I can print. I want to print them on a colour printer and then label my various systems breakers/combiner boxes, etc. Otherwise a place online that sells the label kits!! I know you can buy the kits but I am in Little ol Grahamstown. Printing would be alot cheaper I think. Thanks Mark

  12. I needed more than 1A so went to a 10A relay from BMV... don't want to blow my BMV by mistake.

My fixed costs for eskom on the farm are more than 50% of my bill. Darn it... Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk

  17. Hi @ebrsa Agree with your comments below but I was only referencing the above request which I think is valid and one of the goals of the forum.
  18. I will say it - well said and thanks @ebrsa. Some very important and needed comments/thoughts. I also agree above, but need us to remember - at no stage was source code requested - the innocent request from a new member was for a protocol document (ie created by a manufacturer so people can interface with their devices). Most have decent websites which allow for its download - Voltronic sadly is not a great website... we all know that. At a time the source for AICC was published officially and available for download with permission. MicroCare even sent me their internal test application and sample scripts for their devices... I was amazed. I think deep breaths are in order. I enjoy and learn alot here and want to feel like I can make requests (even if they are not responded to). Thanks again all! Regards
  19. Mine is dead silent. No sound or heat at all!! But no huge loads or charge rates so can't really discount it...
  20. Darn - I need to remember that and be very patient with upgrades...
  21. Just want less power usage at 240v. Set on timer during day off inverter. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
