Imeon 9.12
Neb. On top of the Merson DC Disconnect I use these fuses on each of my strings before the busbar. Personally I would mount the busbars above the bank below the DBboards. You can then make each string connection as short as possible. Top same length as bottom though. You can then run really thick cable between the BusBars and the Merson. I have a separate HA02 for each string. Initially I also had one across 2 strings but I have found that they perform better with an HA02 per string. Less wires and fuses as well AND the HA02 are only rated @ max 10A so given your loads and inverter one will not be enough for 2x strings. (I believe).

AGM BATTERIES proper Setting Axpert 5KVA
@superdiy has good settings above... Axpert (voltage) settings 05 - Battery type - USE 26 - Bulk charging voltage - 58.4V (the maximum on the Axpert) 27 - Float charging voltage - 54.8V I would add: 12 = 48V 13 = 54V 29 = 47V Regards Mark

Solar Panel Tilt and direction
Why don't you set the Axpert to UTL and just run like that for a few days and let the batteries charge and also be held at 54V. ie no load on batteries for a few days. The see if that changes the situation. I don't think you have enough panels to keep the batteries charged. Do you have a battery monitor (Victron BMV 700/2) - that would allow you to actually see the state of the batteries. Search for BMV on the site. Lots of discussion on this issue.

Hi Paul I use Cumulus for my station. The new CumulusMX may have EMON support and also has a Linux version if I remember correctly. http://sandaysoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=12908#p101008

Charging matters
I think its more about efficiency. Like not servicing the old Mazda and having higher and higher fuel usage... makes me irritable BUT: I plan to have more strings facing NORTH, EAST and WEST. Get as much SUN TIME and hopefully "extend" the time I don't use batteries.

Sorry Manie - I think the 0.007% is very low for a MPV. Maybe just me being paranoid? The value from the BMV is Mid Point Deviation (DM) in V. I assume you calc the %.

Can you check Battery Midpoint on Screen 4. Is it V or % being displayed.[emoji2] Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk

Battery bank mid-point problems
On the positive cable at the point I added the extension. I don't know if they HA02 is fused. A sealed unit so don't want to take a chance.

Battery bank mid-point problems
I extended my cables and when I did that I added 5a fuses for safety.

SA Mains Voltage Range
Hi Gerald Spoke to an Eskom friend. They need to be as close to 240V as possible with a 10% deviation allowed.
