  1. little bump given

  3. I think its a great thing not having bolts... just suggested sizes and strengths... Every wall is different and I wouldn't want to hang 30-50kg off a wall with bolts that were not appropriate for the application. My 2c anyway
  4. I think it did but I wanted more length for my soft old farm walls... so my own size plugs and screws... overkill but...
  5. Hi @alkafak Page 6 of the manual gives you the dimensions for the 4x mounting screws. Don't go light weight... I went coach bolts This works very well. Just get someone to help you a the unit is heavy!! Regards Mark 1 InfiniSolar-2KW3KW-manual-20150310.pdf
  6. It was submerged as well... wow!
  7. Now now... Bidding war... R10 offer from me... I'll send courier
  8. Hi 1.5 V is a significant difference between the top and bottom... how about redoing the strings and match all the lowest together and so on. Then charge them as per my above post...that way the mppt's start with a "balanced set of 4" ... I don't have experience with the clone's...sorry.
  9. No not at all! divide the strings at the busbar... String A = 4x12V batteries = 48V - connect to MPPT1 (charge and let it sit on the MPPT 1 panel string for a good few days) B= 4x12V batteries = 48V - connect to MPPT2 (charge and let it sit on the MPPT 2 panel string for a good few days) C leave disconnected D leave disconnected E leave disconnected Monitor StringA and StringB very carefully and see how they go...When you are happy they are fully charged then move MPPT1 to SC and MPPT2 to SD (Repeat!) Monitor SA and SB to see if they hold charge (test each battery daily and see if any are week) Move MPPT1 to SE and repeat (monitor SA, SB, SC, and SD)... look for batteries that drop their voltage against the others. Remember the bateries are at rest when not on the MPPT's so should settle to a good voltage (around 12.7V) I know this sounds alot of work but one bad battery could hide in the bank if you don't do this... PS: Rest of forum...Any suggestions or corrections?
  10. Can I suggest you split them into seperate strings and then charge each string using a MPPT. If you have an issue with one battery in the bank you won't be able to work this out if you nail all 5 strings at once. At least then you can isolate bad batteries even though it may take longer to do this. I would run off grid only while you sort the batteries and switch off inverters Disconnect them from the bank). Regards Mark
  11. For Sale: Microcare 40A MPPT R4000 (onco) In excellent condition and will include the data converter and cable (for data monitoring, value R1000)
  12. Hi Tropman Is this the Plus model?
  13. I was thinking a small blue unit you could slot in easily... monitoring... well... negotiate an ICC update (was going to request it anyway) to allow for a mppt only monitoring (given thats what is done for the BMV ;)) - it then becomes another TAB in ICC...
  14. Get another MPPT and add that as your vertical E string... that would be the most efficient... fiddle the settings so they all work in partnership
  15. I have some of these so they don't have a tip as such...
  16. You guys are brave... slate the "problem areas" when they can't hear/read...
  17. I think you need to leave the Axpert on but you can switch off mains breaker between the Axpert and the load. Regards Mark
  18. I think you got a steal there @Chris Hobson
  19. Ja... is the roof in SA?
  20. Was admiring this piece of blue kit today and spotted something interesting (a worry actually) in the video... See if you can spot it... clue attached... Great piece of kit and I love the additional screen addon.

Very nice bank... we are all very envious... I would set bulk to the highest setting 58.4 and float to 54.4 and then each axpert to charge @ 20A (- I think highest @25A) so 120A to 125A max (both AC and PV). I think we all agree hat 10% charge rate of max capacity, so 128.8A for your bank. That bank needs serious amps to get it to a full charge! Obviously check water levels regularly, I would expect to see a nice bubbling of the electrolyte Check the cable spec... can it handle 120A (they look ok...) @Chris Hobson what do you think! Regards Mark

    3.2V * 16 cells = 51.2 V @ 10ah So 300ah = 480 cells @ 330 = R158 400 without the bms, cables, fuses etc. Are my calcuations correct? Pylontech's for me I guess 6x 14000 = R84000...
  23. AussieView Manual.txt Thanks guys... very nice functionality!! You will like this @Chris Hobson
  24. The other argument against trackers (given the cheap prices of panels) is to just have more panels in 2 strings facing sunrise and sunset (or NE and NW).
  25. NERSA may be backtracking on this... http://www.nersa.org.za/Admin/Document/Editor/file/News and Publications/Media Releases Statements/Media Statement - Consultation Paper on Small-Scale Embedded Generation.pdf Seems they will be reissuing the a new amended SSEG.
