Have you tried contacting the Powerforum-store I'm sure Steve would beable to offer better pricing.

I have sent him an email yes. Still waiting on a reply. Thing is the quote above is supplied by my local sparky that does all my work. I know him well and he doesn't seem too keen on me ordering and him only doing installation. It is what it is at this stage. Also got another quote from a well known individual on this forum. Way more expensive and also not the products i would like.

It is a very good price for the installation, most guys would charge R12 000-R15 000 for a 8kw Sunsynk. To me the equipment seem a bit expensive.

So i eventually ordered everything from Steve. Waiting for Werner to give me a price on installation. 16 x Panels and 1x Hubble to start.

@WAP, any particular reason for going with the 420 watt panels, anymore that size panel is on the lower end of the wattage scale, @Morne SBR, has a 8 kW Sunsynk with the Canadian Solar 595 watt panels

One benefit would be higher string voltage. I have noticed going from 5 panels per string to 8 that higher voltage is so much better . The mppt's are just so much more efficient.

Hahaha its the Hubble. As tempted as i am there's no use in opening the box at this stage. And its farkin heavy

Damn, you must have a massive house with a roof big enough (facing north) to accommodate all those panels. 😆🤣😂

The second story roof will take 10 panels north facing and then the remaining 6 panels will be installed on the 1st story roof, also north facing.

One does not realise the size of the panels till you see them up close. The 70mm battery cables are just out of this world. Heavy and thick AF

Thought that you were going for Hubbles, but I see a Pylontech box. Was it used for the cables and other bits and bobs?

Yes the box has cables and bits and bobs inside. Hubble is lying on the floor to the left.
