August 21, 20232 yr Hi guys, I'd like to get some clarity and confirmation as our additional panels should be going up this week. The frame components are being galvanized and panels are in our garage but the install is imminent. Will post some pics of the final install when done. Can anyone advise what is the best way to wire up all the panels? Current: Currently have 10 x JA Solar 460 Watt panels (2 strings of 5 per MPPT) facing north Sunsynk 8kw inverter firmware: M 6.0.2.2 / S 1.7.2.4 / C E.4.2.6 New: 10 x JA Solar 460 Watt panels (same as current ones) facing north Panel info: Inverter sticker: Frame: Many thanks

August 21, 20232 yr Yes 5s means 5 panels in series. 5s2p means 5 panels in series 2 of them(strings) in parralel on Mppt1 and the same for the other 10 panels on Mppt2

October 4, 20241 yr I have 6 X JA Solar 555 W panels on one mppt and 10 X 345 W panels on the other mppt of my Sunsynk 5kw inverter. The inverter is connected to the grid and can potentially do 6500 W. the inverter seems to be capping production at around 5300 W. Sunsynk have reportedly upgraded the firmware. The limiter has apparently been updated to 6300 W. production graph shows that production is still clipped to 5300 W. I saw similar issues were solved with upgraded firmware. Is there any other help that I can get. JA Solar 555W VOC = 50.02V and Isc = 14.07A Vmp = 42.11V Art Solar 345W VOC = 40.45V Isc = 10.84A Vmp = 33.69V

The MPPTs can do 6500W, but then your batteries have to be taking at least 1500W of charge (the rest going to the grid/backup). Edited October 4, 20241 yr by P1000

October 5, 20241 yr @Azimuth because your battery is at 100%, there are no other DC options to send the power to, if your battery was at a lower SOC it would send the extra power over and above your load to the battery up to a max of 6500W. Your inverter is capped at 5kw AC conversion, so that it is the max amount of DC power it can convert to AC.
February 25, 20251 yr I also have a 8kw inverter deye With this information Each string should be less than 3250w How I will manage 2 mppt to have 9720w with 18 solar panels of 540w
