September 1, 20232 yr Morning everybody, I need to somehow set a one off charge on these inverters if anybody knows a way? These 10k inverters have been working great since I did the 10mm cable and upgraded the breaker feeding them from grid. Now Octopus have a new trail running where they give 2hr of free power on days where the forecast shows the grid is going to be saturated with surplus solar in the afternoon. Obviously I'd like the charge at 20kw (dual 10k inverters) during this free power window; however it's not every day and we get less than 24hr notice that it's going to happen. I have been through the SolarPower software and I can't find anything for a one off unless anybody knows a way to do it there? I tried setting ad additional charge window ahead of time where I currently have 00:30-04:30 I added 14:00-16:00 to the second line on both inverters... But when the time came nothing happened! I'd be keen to find out why nothing happened but either way this would be a pain to have to plug in a laptop to set it before and then again to under it after after every free power window. I have been through the manual and it seems there's a dry output and a 230v relay output; but I can't find an input pin which would cause it go charge from grid. Am I missing something? Any suggestions on how I could achieve this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Alex
October 24, 20232 yr Hello, I would like to upgrade firmware in my 2xinfini10k, both of them are ParalelB with SN 96161605100XXX. Solar power shows CPU Board version 3.5 and 3.5. Up and Down shows on display U1 and U2, 350 100 00 00100 Please advice me, what version firmware I should upload to them. Best regards Rafa.moko
October 25, 20232 yr According to the serial# your inverters are quite old (built May 2016). But I guess 2020-04 (pre 1809) firmware would fit as they are already PAR-B. To be more safe, you need to be sure what fw is installed currently. But this is strange: U1 and U2 should come up with a date/time, what you've posted doesn't look like that.

October 25, 20232 yr Ok, you obviously run FW 16-09-22 (22. sept. 2016), so pretty old. Oldest FW I know for the first parallel models. I suggest to install latest fw available for this kind of model: Infini10KWParallelA20200402DP This one adds BMS support, AC overload charging and includes lots of other fixes. I run it on some of my devices for years without any issue. Off course installation is on your own risk, but it's pretty save anyway as you can always install any other firmware again, even this one makes problems. So you are even able to revert your inverter to the actual running firmware using this files: Infini10KWParallel20160922P Keep in mind to remove any card from options slot for the upgrade! October 25, 20232 yr Yes, thats ok - don't worry. From what I know of: First there was a "NON-Parallel" version starting in 2015. Latest fw I'm aware of is from 2018. Then 2016/09 they came up with a 10k version that was able to communicate with other devices in parallel (called ParallelA). On the type shields it was called PAR-B anyway. Latest fw 2020/04/02. This one is yours! In 2018/09 voltronic changed something major in the hw, so devices starting with serial 96161809xxx and newer needed a different fw and are called "ParallelB". Latest fw I have is dated 2023/09. Then 2021&2022 some series with total different cpu boards were produced due to covid related chip shortage. As there were so many firmware and hw problems, it's higly recommended to replace all boards of this series. Right now they install new boards compatible with the 2018/09 boards. Off course you can try to install brand new (2023) fw on your old device, but you will be probably flooded with fault messages (e.g. ERROR 50) because of missing hw components or sensors. Then you simply flash correct firmware again and your inverter is ok.

October 25, 20232 yr Hi, succsfully upgraded, with no errors. But now, inwerter won't switch production from solar, it see 630V on both strings but nothing more. WHen I connest over usb solarpower I can see 00000000000000 instead serial numer on the left pane
October 25, 20232 yr Does the display show any errors/warnings? Reboot (disc. all power sources) and reconfigure it with actual solarpower (e.g. 1.18SP6). Did you upgrade master AND slave?
October 25, 20232 yr No error, las month i was disconnected slave, and configured this as standalone, so it was working as standalone with no errors, i'm assuming that wifi stopped working because lack of serial number. I have updated only this one .

October 25, 20232 yr Very strange that serial# got lost... Never happened to me after so many upgrades. But there is a tool to set serial back to what it was before (never tried it in fact):SetSerialNo
October 25, 20232 yr Hi again, got setting success message in setserial prog, but inverter dosent store it, another run setserial it shows some characters, restart doesent resolve problem, solar power see sn 00000000000
October 25, 20232 yr Well, is there any other problem beside serial no? Can you post a debug log of solarpower (right mousebutton on taskbar sym).
October 25, 20232 yr Inwerter doesent store settings like mute buzzer, backlit time, but stored disable BMS. debuglog in file.2023-10-25.log Main proble to not starting production from solarpanels.

October 25, 20232 yr OK, uploaded witch succes, but still no serial number and inwerter cant store it, stil not remeber settings, right now is dark outside so i cant check production, looks like inwerter works as with this newer firmware.
October 25, 20232 yr Just had a look at the log you posted: [2023-10-25 18:03:41][USB-SEC-CFS]18,01 Fault 18 means: 18 Comminicate data discordant between master CPU and slave CPU You obviously flashed only master FW and not slave (follow document that comes along with fw exactly!!).
October 25, 20232 yr I have done both, first pressed update master, it was took 13 mins, then waiting 1 minute and then pressed update slave, it was took about 8 mins, then message update sucessful, and inverter restarted itself. for sure...... I saw another thing, when Im saving new settings got succes but on the display for one or two seconds error 17 appears, then no errors.

Not much better: 17 Comminication loss between master CPU and slave CPU Points to a problem between Master and Slave CPU as well.
