Iam checking on info around intergrating with Sunsynk.

ESPhome should work with OH, saw some projects that allowed them to integrate (Edit: No sorry I think I am wrong, I am probably thinking of Domoticz)

Hahaha, likewise.  It is a nice way to get new ideas to fall further down the rabbit hole.

I'm at the point now where I ran out of ideas.  The next one might be a proper coffee machine to make a strong cup of coffee when I wake up.

There is an integration for La Marzocco machines @Bloubul7 in typical Italian fashion it isa however a bit sketchy 🙂

100% in agreement with you there. I’m running 4 APs for the 45 odd WiFi devices in the house. It just, works. I was considering RF for some door contacts (because WiFi and batteries don’t mix well), but gave up on that idea due to possible reliability concerns.

Hi @gbyleveldt

Have you considered using Zigbee or Z-Wave RF connections for battery operated switches etc.

Both are supported by HA, run of battery power and long range compared to wifi.

You would need to either get a Zigbee bridge for your network or USB Zigbee adapter for your HA box.

Some of the Sonoff switches support Zigbee connections out the box (not battery operated though) and there are a number of Zigbee door switches available.

Knock knock Openhabians. I have joined in. My OH has been running for sometime now.  Hoping to marry OH and Solar now.  Iam checking on info around intergrating with Sunsynk.

Cheapest option is pizero w running node-red. Just search the forum for github repository.

Easiest is Solarassistant. Monitors Inverter and battery and publishes to mqtt.
