  1. Depending on which area you are in, I would get someone well recommended on the forum to assess and rectify issues.
  2. With solar assistant it would be easy to assess this, when you see high loads switch the geyser breaker off, and monitor load. Then switch back on and monitor. Could do it with the Sunsynk app although it would take longer. Seems like it's on the essentials from the looks of it.
  3. You could request Sunsynk / Deye to unbind the dongle from the awol installers account, then bind it again to you directly
  4. https://chat.whatsapp.com/I6d84vNl1f2AYhG9yW2aIs There is volta battery support on this whatsapp community
  5. The batteries need to be checked and firmware updated. Contact installer / battery manufacturer
  6. If one uses shielded cat5e cables for battery comms etc, does that negate the need for these ferrite rings?
  7. I suggest you join this WhatsApp group and ask Sunsynk themselves, their employees do updates and some tech support on the group. https://chat.whatsapp.com/I6d84vNl1f2AYhG9yW2aIs
  8. The battery manual suggests the following : Pin 4 CANH ( to PCS ) Pin 5 CANL ( to PCS ) Which is the same as the inverter. So a straight lan cable should work? The Li-BMS page showing values suggests there is actually comms in place.
  9. Battery type needs to be set to lithium
  10. Have you tried using shielded cables for the data comms?
  11. Leshen and Steve87 are some of the well recommended installers on the forum. Both master installers and on site doing and supervising the work themselves. Both will give you personal support and reply to queries on whatsapp at any time. Search the forums yourself for them. Much better than many other bigger companies which may have shoddy workmanship, no personal support, difficult to contact etc. Nevertheless, just suggestions.
  12. Probably not updated in a while, make contact and get an updated quote.
  13. Contact @Leshen Lumensolar.co.za 083 226 0164

  16. Another option shop.crystalcom.co.za/products/solis-s6-pro-8kw-advanced-hybrid-inverter
  17. Why wasn't it covered under warranty?
  18. Looks like a BMS issue, try contacting BSL and explaining the issue to them. They may do a software upgrade and will advise further.
  19. Thank you for your help. I'm not really looking at monitoring them continuously, just to check detailed stats once in a while using the HVESS software itself. So using solar assistants canbus to usb cable in windows, did you have to install drivers manually to get it to work?
  20. Hi Hope you are well. 1. To run the deye Lvess software did you have to use a windows machine? 2. To connect the battery to the pc, did you use the CANalyst-Ⅱ like deye suggest, or what can bus to usb converter did you use? That's assuming you used can bus and not RS485. I'm trying to get these metrics to monitor deye bos-g HV batteries with the HVESS-Monitor software. Deye say one must use CANalyst-Ⅱ. Thank you
  21. So that's definitely a voltronics rebrand.. What details does solarman provide that solar assistant doesn't? You not missing out on anything. Solar assistant is far ahead solarman
  22. Your inverter isn't a Deye inverter I assume. All deye inverters have external loggers, solarman is deyes software. If you have a voltronic inverter (which I assume you do) then you can't use solarman. No benefit in doing so either since you have solar assistant. The voltronics use the 'watch power' app which is hopeless.
  23. Fortunately with credit card there is recourse and you should be able to get your money back, even if it is a scam, albeit with a significant delay. Stick to reputable suppliers. It's not worth the risk involved
