  1. The end of the article mentions the distributed BMS, with a master unit controlling the combined current intelligently during parallel operation. Freedomwon does exactly that with great success on the orion BMS, and you get the full current rating of your batteries when paralleling. On the orion BMS software you can see a lot of detail, the individual currents etc of each battery for a start , and the combined current rating the BMS will allow for the combined entire pack, etc. Works well.
  2. Unfortunately it may end up being upto 6 weeks.
  3. See below regarding settings changes https://solar-assistant.io/help/deye/configuration So the rs232 port would work at the expense of removing the sunsynk dongle. Although as per pierre, sometimes the sunsynk 16kw settings changes do work on solar assistant even with the RS485, but it depends on the inverter batch and firmware etc, to be safe, they say no, settings changes won't work.
  4. On some sunsynk inverters (see their website regarding compatibility) solar assistant does not work for changing settings , so it's always handy to have the sunsynk portal. Also allows you full access to very fine settings which solar assistant cannot change at all.
  5. Create a separate 2.4ghz wifi network for IoT devices (single band 2.4ghz only . Similar to a guest network. This would be as good as a 'single band router'. The mikrotiks can do this, just that they are confusing to use and setup. Probably someone could help you to get it done. Or Google a tutorial.
  6. Probably been already linked to the installers account.
  7. This whole migration thing is ridiculous. The public should not even need to be informed of these complexities etc, it should just work. Their IT team need to be sacked.

From my experience some even so called sunsynk master installers do a shoddy job and the CoC isn't worth the paper it's written on. So I would say get an independent 3rd party to assess your install. If in jhb Mr Steve87 would be happy to help.
  9. Set the first start time to 00:00, People have had strange issues when the first time slot doesn't start at 0. Maybe try disabling timer and re-enabling thereafter. As a last resort try update the firmware or factory reset the inverter, should fix it.
  10. The iterations of this 16kw machine changed a few times. Some didn't have the ATS port despite the manual stating so. These older models may use the pins labelled gen signal to act as the ATS if need be, if I remember correctly. @Steve87 will clarify The easier route is to use an external neutral earth bond relay, segen sell pre made boxes ( Like this) or you can create the equivalent one yourself. Where are you based? Good Electrician should be able to sort you out.
  11. Open the cbi astute app, click the item in question, top right click the edit button, and press "share device". They can make separate accounts to log in for each cellphone and share it accordingly.
  12. Shuh some massive stuff there well done Mr Steve
  13. https://www.sonoffafrica.co.za/product/sonoff-load-shedder/ Although this is for sonoff / ewelink devices, you could get it working on tuya devices with some changes to the system
  14. There's two inputs, maybe the breaker is 200a max each? Try connecting with two sets of cables
  15. Where are you based
  16. If you don't come right try a factory reset. Maybe just the master inverter Had to do so on another install with a similar issue, battery stuck at 100% despite being red on the freedomwon SoC light. Fortunately was just a single inverter.
  17. Do the factory reset. It's not a major job. Should fix it
  18. For the record, experienced this issue on a Sunsynk 16kw, Software version : M 9.0.2.4/S 1.7.2.5/CE.4.3.0
  19. This is concerning. Wonder if sunsynk are aware of this. So many experiencing this issue. Clearly not the batteries fault here.
  20. We had the same at one site, 16kw with 2 x freedomwon lite 20/16, no issues prior. Then all of a sudden BMS comms stopped, no updates to the battery SoC, stayed constant at 80% (as per solar assistant) , until eventually the batteries shut down themselves (lights on battery were red then, so the battery was correctly reading it's own SoC ) Electrician tried a host of things, eventually factory reset worked to get things up and running. Concerning nevertheless.
  21. Check out HYYP by IDS, if you have their alarm system it allows you to do exactly that, with the app. It connects to the existing wiring to the gate and the alarm panel.
  22. See these https://solar-assistant.io/help/deye/2_in_1_bms_port https://solar-assistant.io/help/deye/configuration Hope that helps.
  23. Although it will still only be 60s minimum. Best would be to get solar assistant which is logging every second or so
