Battery Temperature not showing on Solar Assistant
If you using emulated BMS that means you don't have comms between your inverter and your battery. Your SoC is being estimated with emulated BMS, your inverter is probably in USER mode ie voltage based control which has been set manually. So you won't get battery temperature either with just the inverter cable. From what I remember (having had a shoto before) they were very difficult to get the inverter battery coms running with a kodak / voltronic inverter. Not sure if that's been sorted out now. -- Although, even if you have the inverter battery comms set up correctly and use the Lib setting on the inverter, by connecting solar assistant to your inverter you will not necessarily pick up the battery temperature depending on your inverter. -- But : If you get the direct solar assistant cable to your battery then you would pick up further stats.

Cape Town based solar installer to fix some issues
Call / email powerforum store, they will have details for reputable installers. Phone them and ask if they install neutral earth bond relays and the CT coil... Ask if its important ...(just to assess their competence)

Sunsynk inverter constantly discharges Hubble battery lower than setting
Panels work all the time when they can... If its cloudy or raining, and panels cannot supply enough power, then that setting is so the battery will provide power as well, till it drops to 60%. Then grid will take over

Deye Inverter, 80% voltage drop on switching on the PV switch. Is there any setting which must be changed?
@Michael37 @MichaelV37 where are you based? Just get one of the recommended installers here to sort your stuff out asap. Delaying will further exacerbate the problems you face and will damage your inverter. If you in jnb give @Steve87 a shout. He specialises in fixing incompetence ☝️

FreedomWon battery, is a fused battery disconnector required?
Seems to be a bit of confusion on this, on a FreedomWon battery, where the battery has a built in breaker, is an (external) fused battery disconnector still required? Or Is it deemed good practice, or not at all ? With multiple batteries it becomes quite a significant additional cost. Anyone care to provide a concrete answer on this matter? --------------------------------------- FreedomWon themselves say its not necesarry as their batteries have a breaker built in. As per their installers manual as well, https://www.freedomwon.co.za/wp-content/uploads/Freedom-Won-Lite-Home_Business_52V_Installation-Manual.pdf However , according to an electrican this is required, as per the following draft regulations: According to the electrician, EXTERNAL means not built in to the battery / inverter . So even the PV strings should have an isolator, apart from the built in isolator the sunsynks have. https://powerforum.co.za/topic/9976-latest-regulations-legislation-for-pv-combiner-box/

Sunsynk inverter constantly discharges Hubble battery lower than setting
Is there any way on the sunsynk to get the inverter to charge the batteries to a maximum percentage of say 80%, thereafter feed the remaining pv back into the grid? Currently only possible at 100 % SoC as far as I know?

Abysmal performance of batteries - what now?!
Say for example with the sunsynk 5kw, will it be possible to have say 10kw on the non essential circuit (ie no limit from the inverter size) , and will doing this trigger an AC overload fault?
