Did Sunsynk remove the upgrade request form from their site? It is 404ing all of a sudden.

Yes, you need to register with their service desk now and log a ticket for firmware upgrade.

I did request a new upgrade 3 days ago and still waiting...

Hi have two Sunsynk 5kW in parallel, please let me know if I have the latest firmware, or where I can look it up

Master MCU 3.3.7.4

Slave MCU  1.5.1.5

Communication MCU E.4.2.4

Both inverters show the same however I see Master and Slave MCU are different numbers completely. Is this correct?

Thanks, I have requested them for an upgrade. I need to get my profile upgraded.

Where can I see what the newest version is, and download it?

Unfortunately there isn't a portal or system available to us end-users - not sure if the installers have a portal view of what the latest is

My system updated on 19 June to this same version - so it seems to be the latest - at least as-at 19 June.

Interesting range of plants you have in your family there - most impressive

Thank you.

It does mean that me experience is limited to Sunsynk - but I try to keep life simple where I can. 😊

I’ve also learned that the Dyness batteries’ BMS has a very obvious cell-balancing phase when they charge. When they hit 90% charge they throttle the rate of charge down to about 1KW. This is 0.2C of a single battery. When I later added a second battery in parallel, the limiting was still at 1KW in this phase. Only time will tell whether this makes a real difference to battery life.

The other batteries also seem to do a bit of throttling, but only at >98%. That is hardly noticeable in the graphs.

Yes the Dyness do have a more aggressive throttle to balance compared to other models. Still offer decent value and very few (if any) issues

You are the Sunsynk Master now 🙂

it took them 20 days and I had to make 3 phone call to their support to get my upgrade done. The new system with the service desk doesn’t seem to work. Before the updates always happened within hours. You need to call and push them. Otherwise nothing happens for now.

My installer got them to update mine within about 3 days. If you're still stuck, I'll ask him how he went about it.

My installer told me there's a special arrangement for installers to request this, but it's not open to the actual owners of the systems... This makes no sense to me !

I'll try my luck with the service-desk and see how it goes...

OK, I logged on the service-desk, and it was actioned today - roughly 3 weeks later.

And I got these versions on the Sunsynk 5KW...
SW Ver.  M 3.3.8.4 / S  1.5.1.5 / C E.4.3.0

Sunsynk 8kw (SG01LP1) - MCU 6022-1724 : E426 - came preinstalled, recent installation.

Is this the latest version for the 8kw inverter or anyone have anything later?

In an attempt to get rid of the 15kHz noise on mine I asked for them to be updated one at a time. The first one was updated within an hour: M 3.3.8.4 / S  1.5.1.5 / C E.4.2.4. The second one I'm now waiting more than 4 days...

Edit: this morning (14th) I got C E.4.3.0 loaded on the second one after waiting 2 days after logging yet another ticket and had to again request that the same be loaded on my primary one. Luckily that happened fairly quickly. Now the 15kHz noise has moved to 20kHz which can't be heard.

Hi,

Mine was updated on 1/8 and is identical to yours except the numbers on the second string are transposed.  S 1.7.2.4 did you perhaps transpose them when typing?

Cheers Brent

My installer upgraded my 8kw inverter as well. I now have the same M6024 model, but my S and CE numbers are lower. What could be the reason for this difference?
