Featured Replies

Just had an upgrade about 3am last night from from version E426 MCU2022-1724 to M6.0.2.6./S1.7.2.4./CE.4.3.8. Reason is for 6x 8KW in parallel its recommended to get latest version for improved generator port functionality.

Hi all

does anyone know what the latest firmware for 5kW Sunsynk is?

Would like to compare to what I am currently running and understand if it worth the hassle of going through the upgrade

At the beginning of July 2024, we had our one updated. It's currently running the below, I'm not sure if there's been any updates in the last 3 months, but at least it's a reference point:

M 3.3.8.6 / S  1.5.1.5 / C E.4.3.9

On the previous page, there was a post from the end of March 2024 where the M and S versions were the same as the above, but the CE was one revision prior - C E.4.3.8

what does those letters mean ? I believe M for MCU and S for software ?

is Deye has the same software but different MCU ?

If you manual upgrade and use Deye MCU I believe you can change the UI

M: Master MCU software version

S: Slave MCU software version

C : Communication MCU software version

Hi everyone,

My first post on this Forum.

Installed a 12kW single phase inverter on 6 September 2024 - Firmware as follow:

M A.0.2.5 / S  1.7.2.6 / C E.4.3.8

Hi all,

Mine is a 5kW unit...

SW Ver.: M 3.3.8.2 / S  1.5.1.5 / C E.4.2.6

Is the update process in any way controllable?

The update is done over the air after logging a ticket - so not really controllable, no. Some have had a response within 30mins of logging a ticket, and others receive a response the next day, so your mileage might vary.

Thankx @MeTsU... I can't see anywhere what the latest is supposed to be? I actually joined this group to try and work that out. And to see what the benefits are of newer softwares. Maybe I am reading things wrong... I'm new on the forum

is there a way to do it manually ?

I upgraded my 3Phase 12kW inverter today.

Old   version: M 2005-1140 / S 18-07 / C 1001-E037

New version: M 2005-1148 / S  18-07 / C 1001-E043

There were no obvious changes to the user interface on the inverter.

Also, they said my data logger was already on the latest version, i.e. it hasn’t changed since I manually updated logger firmware in November 2022:

Data Logger Hardware version: AEW2-0005-03

Data Logger Firmware version: 4790123B24R

So I contacted support and requested an upgrade... I went from SW Ver.: M 3.3.8.2 / S  1.5.1.5 / C E.4.2.6 to M 3.3.8.7 / S  1.5.1.5 / C E.4.3.D. I asked them if they publish the latest anywhere and they said no... the only way is to request an upgrade and if there is one it is scheduled within the next 24 hours... Strange process.

I agree, the process sucks, especially if you work online from home. We need backups for our backup.

Did you notice any changes on your setup screens?

@p_i There are supposed to be changes on the physical screens. I don't go there often... most of the config I use is on the app. I checked it out after your message and I honestly cannot see anything. Maybe it's on one of the screens I don't use often. I think they were mainly cosmetic changes

🤣Anywayz... I get the feeling Sunsynk viewed the customer as the installer. They are only pivoting now to be more end-user responsive

How does the upgrade work in a parallel system? Do all of the inverters get the file copied on to them, then the reboot happens, or one at a time? My router is obviously going to go down when that particular inverter drops the phase if they are done one at a time.

For me it was indeed one at a time. In anticipation I flipped the change-over switch to grid mode (which still allowed PV to power everything via zero-export-to-CT, but wouldn't have provided battery/backup power in an outage). With load shedding not on the menu (for now, at least!) it's feasible to do this for the reason you mention. It took 2 days or so from request to action and the ticket closed when it happened so I knew it was done.

Okay, so in an off-grid situation i'll probably have to put my inverters on a cellphone hotspot for the reboot?

I have an 8kW Sunsynk inverter. I was advised by Sunsynk support that were upgrading the firmware after I contact them via the support chat to query why my battery was not assisting the load when the PV gen was not sufficient even when tge SOC was 97%

Now the firmware is

COMM:E43D - MCU:6027-1724

I have no idea what version was in the inverter before. Is there some way of determining what the previous version was?

Is it still recommended that you place the inverter in bypass mode and have no load?

Need to plan when to switch over as there seems to be no real indication how long a update take from request to processing when reading all the posts.

And anybody done the firmware update using the firmware requestion option from within the Connect app?
