May 28, 20242 yr Hello everyone, Based on the frequent need for firmware of VM III TWIN and VM IV TWIN, and as I also own a VM IV TWIN 4kW; I aim for this thread to gather all available main firmware, which is always referred to by the names (DSP / Main CPU / U1), for the aforementioned two models specifically. This thread will always be open to newer and future firmware contributed by all members. Please note that firmware for these two models always seem to be interchangeable, so far at least. In this thread, you will find more posts by me containing attached HEX File Only Packages of (DSP / Main CPU / U1) firmware. Each package contains an extracted HEX file only from each firmware version's original full package which is provided and attached by other members in this forum. Again, these files are specifically for VM III TWIN and VM IV TWIN models ONLY; Using these firmware files with any other inverter model will BRICK your inverter! Please always remember that every firmware is intended for a specific inverter model. Please note that each firmware version has its own advantages, disadvantages, and possibly bugs! For your own testing, it's just trial and error, then you keep the version that you believe is the best for your inverter in the end. CREDITS: The original uploader of each firmware version package will be mentioned in all posts containing HEX File Only Packages. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK, NO GUARANTEES WHATSOEVER! DSP Reflash Tool will always be available in the very first post of this thread. It is uploaded here as a separate attachment for ease of download. May 28, 20242 yr Author Would anyone please provide me with the latest display firmware for the VM IV Twin? (big round display) I have found display firmware version (22.21) in another post, and I guess it's compatible with my own model. Coulomb, would you please confirm confirmed that it's NOT compatible with the Twin variant of VM IV? I've recently bought a new LiFePO4 battery pack 25.6V 220AH with built-in JK BMS PB2A16S15P and I'm unable to connect it with my inverter which came with display firmware U2 (39.09) which I didn't upgrade yet since purchasing my inverter. It seems like a display firmware issue as it is responsible for BMS communication. Kindly, Edited May 29, 20242 yr by Tarek Y. Updating information

I believe that it's 39.16: https://forums.aeva.asn.au/viewtopic.php?p=100922#p100922 I don't understand how VM III and VM IV firmwares differ, or are or aren't compatible. I found this firmware in my VM IV/Twin folder. I don't know how to tell from reading the firmware whether it will work in an actual VM IV or not, sorry. I'm guessing that it would work with either (Twin models only). This is main firmware version 70.00, for either (possibly both) an Axpert VM III or Axpert VM IV, 4kW or 6kW, Twin. Do not use with any other model. Hex file is dated 28/June/2023. Use at your own risk. Firmware upload instructions for models with a round display. May 29, 20242 yr Author Thankfully, you came just in time!!!! I just finished upgrading my display firmware to 22.21 a few minutes ago. Unfortunately, I figured out that it was for the non-twin models, so I'm upgrading to 39.16 right away and will finish the process within a few minutes (tool already uploading while I'm writing this) I'm interested in testing 70.70 firmware on my VM IV Twin. However, are you sure you attached the correct firmware in your last post? It says 70.00 not 70.70 I'll give feedback about my latest display firmware in a few minutes. And will try the DSP firmware at my earliest. Kindly,
May 31, 20242 yr Author @Coulomb @AMalakani This is VERY important, an unprecedented FINDING! I just tried the 70.00 firmware on my VM IV Twin 4kW which always had its fans at 100% speed.. and VIOLA!!!! My fans just got smart for the very first time!!!! AHHH, no noise all the time, finally!!!! I tested the new firmware so far on battery only, and battery plus grid, and I can't wait to see what it is like when the sun rises!!! I can confirm now that firmware 70.00 is the very first firmware that has smart fan control for VM IV Twin, at least. And I would highly recommend AMalakani to try the other firmware (68.04) for VM III Twin on his unit, it most probably will give it the smart fan control for the very first time too. I'm just very curious about how to keep obtaining the latest firmware for VM IV normal and twin variants, as we always refer to VM III firmware in forums, which I couldn't confirm whether they're the same or not, but so far they seem very interchangeable as I've always used VM III firmware on my unit. So, yes, this is the very first VM IV Twin firmware and it came with the 4.2kW new variant, as I can see! Please note that I posted the same reply in the AEVA forums for the benefit of everybody, at the link: https://forums.aeva.asn.au/viewtopic.php?p=101674#p101674 Note for Coulomb: You obtained your very first VM IV Twin firmware from that post on AEVA Forums, and it is version 70.00 unlike what you wrote in your previous post text here, so the attachment is totally correct.
May 31, 20242 yr Author Additionally, I finished updating my MCU (display) firmware yesterday as I wrote earlier that I'm flashing it, but wasn't able to connect my inverter to the new battery, yet! I will be trying again on Saturday as I ran out of RJ45 plugs to try new pinouts. I am trying now to update the battery's JK BMS firmware, and unfortunately I'm stuck with its current firmware because of a known bug but with no solutions even from the manufacturing company JK! Many owners are experiencing the same bug around the globe as I can see on the internet and it is very recent. Unfortunately, we all tried A LOT of solutions to no avail so far, so I think it should be solved eventually by JK company, but I hope that I will be able to connect it with the inverter without having to make the firmware upgrade first!
June 3, 20242 yr @Tarek Yag thanks can i install version 70.00 on my vm iii 4kw twin ? or i need 68.04? can you send it to me also

June 14, 20241 yr Author @mhdite7, I can't help with testing the MCU firmware as I have a completely different display than the VM III However, regarding the main firmware, it seems legitimate as Coulomb suggested, but needs testing of course. How about you testing it on your unit and reporting back to us?
June 15, 20241 yr @Tarek Yag after upgrade fans now slower than but after load 2kw the fan speed up for display update i don't show any changes
June 16, 20241 yr 21 hours ago, mhd_murad said: fans now slower than but after load 2kw the fan speed up Which is what you want, right? Relative peace at night, yet fans doing their job when needed.
June 24, 20241 yr Author On 2024/06/15 at 4:55 PM, mhd_murad said: fans now slower than but after load 2kw the fan speed up Based on my experience, VM 4 Twin fans work at some high speed all the time, and when charging the battery above 40 A, or load is high enough, like 2000+ W, the fans double their speed. After the latest update, fans now work at a good low speed all the time, and when charging at a high current or having a high load, the fans work at what was observed as the lowest speed before the latest update. I'm very happy with the new speeds of my inverter fans, as I have it installed in my living room and it was causing so much inconvenience for all of us, it was a real pain in the ears!! On 2024/06/15 at 4:55 PM, mhd_murad said: for display update i don't show any changes I believe most updates for the MCU (display) are code changes only for performance improvements, stability, and bug fixes. On 2024/06/16 at 2:33 PM, Coulomb said: Relative peace at night, yet fans doing their job when needed. Exactly! Totally on point.
June 25, 20241 yr Finally, my account works. I've tried the 60.95, the fans become so quiet and SLOW with minor speed changes when charging and on higher load; due to the hot weather now in Syria, I've checked the fans and the blown air is so hot and I didn't feel it's fine. I flashed back the 60.89, the fans speed is a little bit higher but it's more reasnoble in hot climate places and speed change is noticable. Edited June 25, 20241 yr by AMalakani
June 25, 20241 yr Author @AMalakani Welcome in! I contacted admin @Energy-Jason to get your membership approved, as I promised at AEVA Forums! Thank you Jason! Yeah, I've noticed the higher temperature too, but I think it's all good since it's not triggering any over temperature warnings or faults, so at least it's in the acceptable range. For me, It's just a matter of having normal heat for an electrical device, or always over cooling with too fast fans which is not really needed. @Coulomb Any other thoughts on this matter? Thank you. I will soon take the time to capture actual temperature readings at different times and operations and post it here for more reference and better discussion.
June 26, 20241 yr 16 hours ago, Tarek Yag said: @Coulomb Any other thoughts on this matter? Just that operating at higher temperatures will cause some components like electrolytic capacitors to age faster. Out of the factory, they aren't particularly long life to start with. But if you have to operate it in a living area, then the quietness is important.
June 26, 20241 yr Hello my friends I have this inverter axpert vmiii 6k twin I need to update to a trusted version I have doubts about the current situation The solar tracker doesn't do the trick Gratefully Attached is a picture of the current version Edited June 26, 20241 yr by mohamed.kh
June 26, 20241 yr Author @mohamed.kh According to your current firmware versions and the aforementioned inverter model (VM III Twin)... You might want to test one of the three recent DSP firmware. Versions 60.89, 60.95, or 68.04. They're all attached in this thread in different posts with some basic first impression of testers about each of them, as they're not very much tested, yet. As for the MCU (display) firmware, the latest firmware I'm aware of is 25.12, and is also attached in this thread.

Finally, I am attaching a picture of my Inverter I apologize very much for the many questions But I'm a beginner and I'm upgrading for the first time greetings to you all
June 27, 20241 yr Author Yep, according to your image, your inverter is from a well-known brand in the region, and it should be an original one. Yeah, MCU firmware, display firmware, and secondary CPU firmware, all refer to the same thing. And no, the reflash tool for MCU firmware (secondary CPU) is totally different than the reflash tool for DSP firmware (main CPU). The tool for the MCU firmware is already included in the zipped file uploaded here by mhd_murad along with the firmware file (25.12) As for the reflash tool for DSP firmware, I have it attached in the first post.
