December 16, 20223 yr That's probably a Pylontech cable as stated in your manual. You need to match your inverter CAN pins with your battery CAN pins. They differ battery to battery / inverter to inverter.
December 17, 20223 yr We have just installed two Luxpower 5kwh inverters. We are in Joburg, they are in and outside room that has its door open most of the day, and yet we are having issues with them switching off due to error ‘25’ overheating. the room is cool 22 degrees with airflow. The company that installed keeps blaming the room temperature, is this happening to anyone else?
December 17, 20223 yr Do you have a view as to what temps are being recorded by the inverter? This screen on the web view can help: Edited December 17, 20223 yr by mzezman

If there isn't sufficient breathing room between them they will get hot. Also how big is the room?
December 19, 20223 yr Hi can anyone tell me where can I get the customer code ,i need to enter it to register
December 19, 20223 yr Shalom it seems there is a problem in the older firmware. Mine did the same... but the temp was not high on code 25 as per manual, but it seems the battery voltage was actually high on code 25... when my batteries were full and pv power took load, mine switched off the eps power for 30 seconds then switched it back on by itself. Ive contacted luxpowertek support and they did a firmware upgrade remotely and so far no eps tripping for 2 days..
December 22, 20223 yr My experience with Luxpower SNA5000/Hubble AM2 The battery cable worked between the AM2 and Luxpower Can Ports. Inverter picked up straight away I initially was confused between older/Newer Luxpower units and Can High/Low pinouts but didnt matter which cables i had crimped they never worked only the original; hubble cables worked I also have 2 x AM2 and 2 x SNA5000 1 Ph Parallel System Ive tried everything regarding dip switch setting options and find that when paralleling the system using Dip Switch 1 on-on both batteries worked When selecting Battery 1 dip on,battery 2 dip on doesnt work ,only dip one is communicating on both The SNA5000 is set on parallel 1Ph ,Battery Share enabled on setting 21 Trying to get info from Luxpower during the festive season is also non existent, maybe always the case ill find out soon enough i guess........ Luxpowers motto should be: "Left in the Dark" and Forum Chat of course hahahaha
December 25, 20223 yr Hi all. I think I need to update the firmware on my SNA5000 but am struggling to get hold of my installer... What is my next recourse!? The installer set up my system in lead-acid mode without the comms cable to the Shoto battery (pylon CAN protocol). I've switched to lithium-ion mode and established comms between them, but the battery isn't charging up on mains despite setting proper charge parameters, and status page is also reporting strange charge/discharge and power distribution patterns (particularly when AC grid is online - battery seems to charge and discharge slightly and never reach 100% SOC), which I understand is fixed in a later firmware... For now I've gone back to lead acid mode so that things at least work for the time being Any suggestions on what I can do to ensure I'm on latest firmware ? Currently have version cbaa-121613 on my unit (model 68224). Thx Edited December 25, 20223 yr by FragtioN

It can charge quite quickly to 98%, but can then take up to an hour for that last little bit while it is balancing. Once it has reached 100% it will only allow discharging, until it reaches 96% again.

I think that belongs to Infinity Innovations Ltd though, so unlikely to be an official "generic" That being said, it worked, but I'd like to get installer-level permissions/control, to update firmware etc.. before contacting luxpower via email as recommended above. Perhaps one of you is an installer and wouldn't mind helping me out loading my inverter onto your account? Any other clues, please share xD Edited December 27, 20223 yr by FragtioN
January 1, 20233 yr I am very interested in the Lux. 2 questions Will it work for 3 phase power? Will it work for any battery?

Look at this yourube video, I think they do a 3 phase in it: Also you can check the battery compatibility list: https://www.solarpanelenergy.co.za/docs/Luxpower Compatible Battery List 20211019.pdf

January 16, 20233 yr Hi Guys I have the following setup: 1.) Lux-Power 5kW SNA inverter 2.) 3 x 3.6 kWhr Mecer LiFePO4 batteries in parallel. They are identical to the Dyness batteries, in fact I think its rebranded as Mecer. 3.) 8 x 455W PV solar panels My system runs and works 200%, I hardly use any grid from Eskom. My problem is when in EPS mode (during load-shed or other outages). It can hardly take any load then, less than 500W. When I change the battery setting to Lead-Acid (from Lithium & "8" as the manufacturer), it can then take load as intended. Clearly there is a issue with communication between the inverter and the batteries, I tried both the cable supplied with the inverter as well as one supplied with the batteries, same exact issue. Please help, I don't want to run the Lead-Acid setting for extended periods. The inverter supplier did "try" to help but they are so busy "making money" that they not bothered to help me trouble shoot until the issue is resolved.

What value is set in this field? and on your inverter what are the settings under Menu 3?

But normally it say 112.5A both charge & discharge, depending on what the SOC is, the charge allowed decrease as the batteries get "fuller".
January 16, 20233 yr Lux-Power is busy updating my firmware remotely, lets see if that resolve the issue. Will let you know.
