Chloe Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 Wow, that's even cheaper than the November special and it's a 5.5kwh!!! Do these also come with a free mounting bracket? Yellow Measure 1 Quote
Yellow Measure Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 I see that the RIOT module is unnecessary for most mainstream inverters such as Victron, GoodWe, Sunsynk, Deye, Growatt, and Sofar, they can all address it natively using CAN bus. But if I were to go for this battery, I'd get one in any case, looks pretty cool. Chloe 1 Quote
Chloe Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 Yes it does look pretty cool! I like the fact that it can monitor the individual cells. Yellow Measure 1 Quote

At only 3000 cycles, though the form factor is good, doesn't that concern you? I'm wondering how long this battery has been in the market to ascertain that it will make it to +/-15 Years as well... BSL Batt is the only other one that I know of. Chloe 1 Quote
Moffat Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 (edited) I'm trying to compare it with the Pylontech US3000 and struggling to find the discharge rate of the pylontech to compare. Also warranty is an important factor. The price is tantalising though for it's size. Just found the Pylontech is 0.5c or 1c for 15 seconds, depending on the model. As for the battery it is a 1C with 3000 cycles @ 80%. BSL bull is also a 1C and Pylontech claims to have a 1C but got this on a google search: "Medium discharge: These batteries can be discharged at 0.7C (35A), unlike BYD that can be discharged at 1C." https://www.todoensolar.com/epages/61987244.mobile/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/61987244/Products/BAT0475[1]&Locale=en_GB Quote

Moffat Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 Just now, Chloe said: Maybe @HubbleLithium can give you more details. There's nothing on their website next to any of their offered product lines, just option to make an enquiry if one is interested. Quote
Chloe Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 @Moffat I got this from @ HubbleLithium : Self discharge on the AM-2 5.5KW is less than 5% per month. Rememebr the cycle is 3000 cycles then the battery is at 80% life left still, so still works perfectly after 3000 cycles. The AM-2 uses the latest new BYD cells. Yellow Measure 1 Quote

ViperGTI Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 Hi, what is the normal price on these and are they compatible with these inverters?: Fronius Primo 8.2 and Fusion Hybrid 8kw? How long is the warranty on these? I assume the warranty starts on date of purchase, not date of installation. Quote
