Hi everyone. I had a system installed by Solar Advice about a year ago, and I'm very happy with it. (8kW Deye inverter, 3280kW array, 10.1kWh Alpha ESS battery). I scraped together the funds to add another battery (Alpha ESS 10.1kWh), but unfortunately, the sub-contractor used by Solar Advice just hasn't bothered to get back to me after my request for a quote to install the additional battery. I tried contacting other installers, but none of them get back to me, or their communication is spotty at best and it certainly hasn't inspired confidence. Could anyone recommend reliable installers in Pretoria? It's such a simple job - the new battery simply needs to…

Hi! I'm looking to convert to solar for a small home/business but am relatively clueless about the specifics, the last quote I got was astronomically high (several million) and I'm pretty sure the figures given were far larger than what I actually needed: 17kw for a conference area, 17 for kitchen and sewerage, etc... Does anyone know of a good, honest installer in the Midrand area that can help me out?

Hi all, Can anyone recommend good installers in Cape Town? I've been looking at getting a system installed starting with just a battery and inverter, expanding to solar later on. I'm decided on Victron for the remote monitoring, etc. Six weeks after putting out feelers, out of about 8 companies contacted, I have only 1 quote (where the margins on their hardware did not meet my willingness to pay) and the rest have simply dropped off without any responses (so I cannot even compare the one quote to anything). I know things are busy for these folks due to loadshedding, but it's a little shocking how much you have to beg SA companies to take your money sometimes. D…

It's been a mission to discover and then sort all the issues out, but @Steve87has been super helpful in rectifying the situation, working through the weekend to get the system compliant. Honest, helpful great guy who knows his stuff. Wishing you well in the future!
