Can a typical Axpert inverter be used for 230VAC and solar MPPT charging only, without the DC/AC inverter being active? Say I have a 12/24/48VDC only load and do not want the expense and clutter of using a separate 230VAC battery charger and a solar MPPT charger, but I don't want the inverter running and gobble 30 - 60 Watts of power. I doubt that it is possible but I don't yet know the Axpert inverters that well. AC charging will likely not work. How about only using the MPPT?

Hello all, I have an off-grid system, where I am wanting to make use of the AUX/GEN port as the non-essential supply. So in that case, I am wondering whether I can connect the generator to the grid port? My understanding is that the GRID and GEN port share a common bus (once the isolating relays close). I don't know if there is any electronics on the GEN port which is specific to handling a generator input? My sense is that this would work. Thank you, Ryan

Good day. I own a mecer sol-i-ax-3vp. I have 4 100ah 12V lead acid batteries and 1160W of solar panels. I am staying on a farm and I mainly use this as a backup system for Loadsheding. Any suggestions on what whould be the most optimal setting and one more question. If i put the setting to Solar first. Does the inverter first put the power thru the batteries and then out to the load? Looking at the diagram drawn when I select that option it sure does seem like that it does.

Hey, I just installed a Deye 5KW Inverter with a Dyness 3.6KWh Battery. However, since moving over all my electronics to the Load/UPS output, all my PC (and game console) PSUs now constantly make a buzzing sound. Is this normal? PS The inverter itself also makes a buzzing noise when running off the grid. Are the grid settings attached below correct? And/or does anyone perhaps know what may be causing this? Many thanks Kind regards Overblazze

Hi all, My Deye 8K is continuously importing about 20w - 30w during the hours of non-generation. This can add up and lead to buying units at the more expensive tariff I would much prefer to have a continuous export of the same amount. I previously had a Sofar ME3000 which had a CT Colibration option where you could set an offset of the CT value. Is there any hidden engineering meny that would have such an item ? thanks in advance

Hi guys, I have a question about inverter Charger source priority. My inverter is a Growatt SPF5000ES firm 068-01-1.04. I have also : - 1x Diesel 10Kva Generator connected to the inverter to the Grid input of the inverter. - 10x PV 400W - 4 Battery Pylontech US2000C. The system works fine, but my problem is that when I manually switch on my generator to charge my battery, due to some poor sunlight, the inverter does not charge the battery until I physically disconnect my PV input using the input breaker. Example, if the sun power is not sufficient and the generator is starting, the battery will not charge. The only way to charge using the…

How do you silence the alarm? Last night was the first night the Power-That-Be let me try out the battery to supplement grid use but the battery died overnight and went right down to zero. It's currently charging now (it's up to 4%). The cogwheel on the top left of the main display was marked as "Off" and the Alarm light on the inverter wasn't flashing but the alarm was (and is) still sounding. At 10pm the battery was at 58% and people were going to sleep so I don't see how the battery voltage can drop so much overnight. Sunsynk 5KW: e422-MCU:3372 ; 1x Hubble Am5

Please bear with me, as I am no artist, but at-least I am trying (for easier understanding I have separated the E/L/N diagrams - and they may not be 100% correct against termanology, but this is just to show the connecting dots) ... 😀 Setup: 2x 8kW Deye Hybrid Inverters (linked in parallel), with battery bank and PV arrays. I am sitting with a floating neutral problem, only when my system is in "off-grid" (ISLAND mode), when Eskom decides to pull the plug. When normal AC is returned, the floating neutral is resolved, due to proper connection between N and E. Below is a sketch of my setup/wiring that may give some idea of how things are co…

My Axpert 3Kw inverter recently blew. AC IN and Battery terminals are now short circuited. I opened it up to take a look and it looks like a capacitor labelled MOV6 near the AC connectors has blown. I cannot see any other obvious damage, but have not stripped the unit completely. For those with experience in repairing these things, do you think this is an easy fix to replace this one component, or is it likely to be a number of components that need to be replaced? Is it worth sending off for repair? Any recommendations? Thanks!

Hi all i am new in this game and need advice on fixing this warning 69. I have a Mercer Axpert Max 8kw inverter and 2x Svolt LFP-5.09kWh batterys. The inverter shows that there is communication between them for a few minuts and the 69 starts flashing with the battery icon and the the battery stops charging and when i simulate an ac failure the inverter kick in as it should and warning 69 goes away and when i restore the ac then the battery icon will flash normal for a minute or two and then the warning 69 will return so is there a voltage setting to be done?

Hello all, I have an inverter that after a local storm got this board damaged. If I unplug the connector to this board, the inverter works as it should, no errors displayed, charges batteries, PV voltage is detected. Does somebody know when is this board used by the inverter? In parallel mode only or only when feeding power to the grid? It has 4 SCRs of type BT155W-1200T. If the board is plugged in, the inverter does not power on. Also, did anybody reverse the schematic for this board already? Thanks in advance.

My Luxpower inverter stopped completely drawing energy from panels. When the problem started about three weeks ago, the power generated fluctuated from high to low and at times went to 0 and then back high. The inverter however can charge batteries from the grid. What could be the cause of this?

Good day. I'm new to the whole solar thing and finally decided to bite the bullet and get some because I can't take the load-shedding anymore. I wonder if you guys on here can give me some input on the inverter I will be getting with the package I want to buy. The Inverter I will be getting is a GroCoal Apple Mars 10KW hybrid inverter 48V but I can't find anything on the internet about it whatsoever. Do any of you gurus know about this brand and what the quality is like?

Does anyone have a 3 Phase inverter that can output unbalanced loads that exceed the TOTAL kW divided by 3, per phase? e.g. Take a 12kW inverter. L1,L2 and L3 Should output 4kW max each. 3 x 4kW = 12kW. If the load on L1 pulls 5kW then (i assume) a normal 3 phase inverter get's overloaded. But this DEYE claims it can output 6kW max from L1, provided the rest of the lines are below the total 12kW when added together. meaning: L1 is at 2kW out of the total 4kW that it can output. L2 is at 3kW, of the 4kW it has. Then L3 can be up to 6kW. Without overloading the inverter.

Good day, Our estate has a small RCT Axpert 1000W 12v inverter which is used for backup power for streetlights etc. (about 300W total load). It's connected to a Hubble S-100A battery. It's been running perfectly fine since July 2023. However, the inverter is no longer supplying any output power during load-shedding. There is no alarm/fault code and the inverter display shows that the battery is full (13.7v), the grid input voltage is 0v, Output is 230V AC, and load is 0%. A multimeter confirms 0V AC at the inverter's output connecter. When grid returns, the AC on the inverter output is also back. We have switched the inverter on/off - same behavio…

I have a Sunsynk 3.6 Ecco with rack mount batts. I have it set to charge from the grid 0030-0430 when off-peak, but I would like to top the battery up later in the day with exported solar if its available to top up ahead of the evening. My solar is on another grid-tied inverter, not through the Sunsynk. The Sunsynk CT is on the grid and correctly reads import/export. My solar is very unpredictable, so if I set the system mode to say 80% for a timeframe and the battery is below this then it will charge using the grid export only, without importing from the grid, as I'd like. But if there's no or insufficient solar and I'd like to support the house loads, it will…

Good evening, I have a 5kW Sunsynk Hybrid Inverter tripping a earth leakage it is fed from the main grid, and NOT a earth Leakage. The inverter load/Output is fed into a Earth Leakage and then supplies the essential loads. It works 100% in Island/Off grid mode as soon as the grid power comes on it trips the Earth Leakage. All non essentials loads work while in Islanding mode directly form grid. in this case the earth leakage is the Essential Loads main breaker. The neutrals have been split correctly. Any help would be much appreciated. Kind Regards AJ

Good day all the great knowledgeable/practical & professional experts on this really special forum. This is my first post on this forum...but joined more than a year ago and have looked everywhere on it to find what could be causing my problem...which has become very worrying especially with the increase in load shedding and the purchase of two new Vision HF12-470W-X lead-calciumtin alloy batteries...which are now connected and showing error (4). I do not want to leave the batteries in this state (as they were when bought) (a pensioner like me really cannot afford to damage these). OK. My inverter is the Mecer/Axpert Sol I AX 3M24v connected to the 2 batte…

So here we go again 🤣 I have a 48v Axper King rack 5kw. I just replaced the batteries with DC Solar DC-L5000/LV x 2. I have a total of 9 x 400w panels. It took a while to find out that the original communication board would not talk with my new batteries. So the shop switched my old board for a new board that can talk with the batteries. After that everything looked to be working perfectly. I have had this situation before where the inverter would just suddenly not show the solar panels. (I will attach picture and videos if I can). I thought it was because the old batteries were fudged and the voltage would spike when lots of power is coming in causing a fai…
