Can the Multiplus communicate with the Polyntech BMS ? Or do you mean its compatible in terms of setting the charging and discharge voltages in order to work with a Polyntech

Gregslh - Inverter warehouse .co.za is definelty a legit business, not some Gumtree scamster. I think most complaints are mainly because the owner Garry is a bit overloaded / Overworked / too busy - but his pricing is very good. If you are willing to suffer a bit you should come right and you will pay rock bottom prices Most of us are willing to pay a bit more to get good service from a supplier.

I would guess that Frans has an Axpert inverter with a built in MPPT And guess number two would be that his panels has an open circuit voltage of 40 V and operating votage of 32 V 2 parallel strings of 3 panels = 120 V < 145 Vdc 60 Vdc < (3x32 V) < 115 Vdc

Goodwe fan in the house. All in one solution that works right out the box. Perfect solution for your average users. Simple to install and to configure. Overall cost after install very hard to beat in terms of price vs performance.

Altough I have been using a 5 kVA on 20A breaker (2,5mm2 cable) without having the breaker trip . But the inverter probably never sees the maximum 5 kVA load

I'm currently busy on a project where a copper mine is now looking at extracting the cobalt from the tailings. All in the name of Lithium batteries

You sacrifice accuracy for safety as you only clip a simple CT around a cable. No touching or physical connecting to any live conductor. Minerva is computer guy so he could probably wing you suggestion

Do some reading up Have a look at the Goodwe range of inverters (all in one solution keeps things really simple) Due the title of your post Plonkster and TTT might miss this post but you can also look at Victron equipment. ( High quality kit but not easy for most people to understand how it all fits together)

Minerva the Efergy will be 100% for what you want to use it for. If you can measure your voltage and program the meter appropriately then it will be fine for determining what you need going forward. The Victron equipment suggested will probably cost R6.5k vs the R1.3k for an Efergy that will get pretty close to what you need. You will also be able to sell the Efergy when later when you are done. If you are planning to go Victron in the future then there can be an argument for spending the money now, but you are basically locked in the Victron cult for life.....

start with a single 2.4 kWh Polyntech , see how far that gets you for now.... Budget is always an issue, because I also want to say that if you plan to add solar than I wouldnt recommend an Axpert ....... If you only want an UPS type setup with no solar - Axper with a Lithium battery will work If you want some return on the investment then you need solar with a Hybrid inverter. Cheapest way to start out is probably a Goodwe with a Lithium battery (R20k + R15k) Then you can start adding panels...

Paul its good to hear that Gary has been able to please some clients, but he can certainly take a few lessons in how to deal with customers. Not answering calls, not returning calls, ignoring emails, incorrect advertising on his website....... times are good now and you will probably get by just fine but people dont forget and he is certainly not doing himself any favours at the moment building the wrong kind of reputation. His shop is just around the corner from my office and his advertised pricing unbeatbale but I havent managed to purchase a single item from him and vowed never to even try again.

48 V , but only because it opens up more options for Lithium batteries. Serioulsy like TTT and Plonkster will preach Victron at every oppertunity I will try and convince people to close their eyes and to spend the money on Lithium now if you want a fit and forget install.
