  1. Can you check Device Manager when you use the USB-Serial adapter if the new port doesn't get a warning? Often it's the latest driver copy protection on an imitation adapter that can be worked around by installing an older driver (usually included or on the clone manufacturer website)
  2. You'd need to detail the wiring as that's usually the culprit Length, thickness, diagram
  3. 100a continuous,so 1c (reportedly)
  4. I didn't say it's a good solution ๐Ÿ˜†
  5. Oh...well that's...a creative solution to putting an indoor unit outside I guess
  6. Did they Cement in some BigJim toolboxes?
  7. You can open a Github issue to request an update or submit your own for approval https://github.com/beyarkay/eskom-calendar#contributing
  8. Just using an example - don't expect every device of the same type to have the same features
  9. The device manufacturer exposes settings and features as options unfortunately. I have a few brands of different devices and the capabilities and even look of them in Smartlife varies. Most irritatingly for me the "Resume last state after power restored" isn't even available in all of them, others don't have current sensing and/or history
  10. The one kind-of issue with this idea, which is what the generator port helps negate,is the varying voltage/frequency stability on most cheaper generators (your non-diesel/non-inverter units),as they take load up and down - especially on the initial switch the output can sag which can cause the inverter to assume Mains is an issue and switch off, then when generator has no load and is stable try switching back repeatedly There are tricks to mitigate this sag and appliance-modes on inverters handle these voltage fluctuations slightly better, but ymmv

  13. If you have a USB-RS232 cable you can use a laptop to pull the SOH and cycles with PBMSTools
  14. Correction,these are (likely) Growatt clones,my Sacolar's equivalent model is Growatt SPF5000ES
  15. Nah literally i'm going on the KwH charge/discharges giving at least the 5KwH per battery I expect, anything else spare in the tank is just dandy ๐Ÿ˜†
  16. I also have the anomalies with my 4 batteries voltages settling, but it's fine,i'm getting 100AH per battery at least so that's within my tolerance
  17. Main lesson is ask here first
  18. Currently Hubble recommends 53.8 as the Cutoffs on the AM2 in voltage mode This wording doesn't make sense. If the batteries are full they won't take charge anymore,if you lower the max solar charge rate they'll charge slower for longer - that's it. If there is no load to load and no battery to charge PV will drop to match the usage

  22. Don't think anybody is claiming they are the cause, they are contributing however
  23. I'd say 12-13k is a fair price given the lack of warranty
  24. Whats the retail price, and how long is the retail warranty? How much warranty is left?
