May 2, 20179 yr Hi, I've newly registered to the forum but have been viewing the forum as a guest previously. TBH it's the best solar forum that I've found & is very accommodating for newbies. You do have one policy that I do find a bit harsh though. 15 posts to download files that would be very useful for newbies like me! May I humbly suggest that it is lowered - especially for files that are helpful for newbies! I really want to download the Axpert settings as I think that it would help me setting up my new system but really don't want to post 15 posts of gibberish before I actually get going. Can anyone kindly PM me the latest version if it's not going against any rules too much! I mean this file: Thanks
May 2, 20179 yr Take it one step left ... If you want to upload, 15 posts. If you want to download, no posts required. EDIT: @TQPF Welcome!
May 2, 20179 yr Author When I click on the download button I get: You may only download files after you have made 15 posts.

Jip, we collectively asked for that to stop certain scenario's. Therefor my suggestions, following Marks post, to @Energy to maybe see if it can be changed, based on your request, for you make a good point. Send a PM to @Chris Hobson with your email address, he can email it in the meantime?

May 2, 20179 yr @Chris Hobson is very helpful in this regard. I think that the 15 post thing is a good idea to get members involved and not just hit'n'run.

May 2, 20179 yr I had the same problem when I first joined, but several users responded to my requests with private links to the files I wanted. powerforum is the best. @Chris Hobson axpert guide should be the first thing you download as a new axpert owner. https://www.dropbox.com/s/udzwb3gi7rza9z5/Axpert Settings 1.1.pdf?dl=0
May 3, 20179 yr Agree. This is harsh I am also looking for the downloads and now I need to post 15 posts. So this is just a post to add another one. I am lured to the fact that I want to post useless information on other topics to to make the count.
May 9, 20179 yr @Engr naeem you are only one post away. I f you make a comment on my post you will be at magic 15 posts

This gives time for the member to introduce themselves and prove legitimate. Keen to hear what all the thoughts are. Sincerely Jay

September 20, 20178 yr Can you please re-consider this topic? I really don't want to post for the sake of getting access to downloads but it will be nice to have access to those files.
September 20, 20178 yr In order to post 15 times you will probably need to surf the forum for a while, read a couple of topics that may be of interest to you, all the while becoming a little bit familiar with the site and people involved - this is a good thing! If you run out of patience then appeal to @Chris Hobson for assistance - he is a much nicer guy than the rest of us and will probably PM you the info that you require.

September 24, 20178 yr @Chris Hobson you are now officially the "ACVV" of the forum. Remember you will be rewarded for all the good things you do! I might be out of line here, but I feel that a member once registered with all the necessary information, should be allowed to participate on the forum. What is the use of having to post 15 times, a lot of !%@$#@!, and thereafter you can download. Otherwise @Chris Hobson can forward the file with a pm ???????? I really think this rule can be reconsidered and make it easier for new members Maybe the member can explain why he would like to do the download and tell the members about his installation? Thereafter any senior member can authorise his download or something like that. Just make it easier to access and a pleasant encounter for the new member. I am sure we will create more members this way!! Just my humble opinion !
September 24, 20178 yr I recently installed a 24V battery bank- 4 units of 6V 360Ah USbattery batteries and I am looking to get the longest life out of the batteries. So, I am trying to read up about lead-acid batteries. The files I am interested in are the Handbook for Stationary Lead Acid Batteries, Parts 1 and 2.
