Good day! There is a BMS board with connection to the inverter via RS485. so it has a connection speed of 19200, The Battery Monitor program connects normally, sees the board and displays all the data on the laptop screen. But the MultiSIBControl program provides RS485 connection only at a speed of 9600 or 115200. Is it possible to make friends with them somehow?

looks great an I   would be prepared to pay for your software if I only could connect my 3 pylontec clones (TAB4836) !

I spent over 40 hours now working on it with diferent cables, settings, drivers, baud rates etc,  RX and TX blinks but after  a short while it says pylon stopped.

I tried to verify the cable and FTDI  Chip with batterieviw  but once out of several hundered tries batteryview asked my for a barcode numer that it never accepted, maybe because pylontec does not support TAB

They are the only ones I have and would like to monitor them as well as the Pylontechs.

HI. I installed this software but i want to know how i can connect my pylontech or axpert inverter with my laptop. can someone guide me on this issue. either i have to connnect  rs 485 A and B LIne with usb serial bus or i need special connector or device for it. regards

Hello. To connect Pylontech (CONSOLE) to laptop you need : a ) USB to RS232 (female) convertor FTDI chip and b ) one cable RS232 (male) to RJ45 with pinout : 232 Tx pin 3 to RJ45 pin 3 ; 232 Rx pin 2 to RJ45 pin 6 ; 232 GND pin 5 to RJ45 pin 8. All the best.

I couldn't find a good solution for a Solis RHI inverter. I tried my luck by contacting solar assistant as they list "Coming soon" for Solis on their website.  It turns out the software already supports it, but it's currently just a small group of people using it with Solis.  If you already have a Raspberry PI and know how to hook an RS485 adapter hooked up to your inverter or you have a WiFi dongle that supports modbus TCP, they give you a trial to try it.  I found the email by using the "Contact us" link at the bottom of the page:

It's not free but works well for monitoring.  No inverter setting change support yet.  Also works with Pylontech.

I have this error. It worked perfect for 1 year and now i can do anything but i have this error with pylon stopped. I have the right cable bcs it worked for 1 year.

I just saw version 1.18 was released here.

Tested and working well. Pity this is only Windows based.

Has anyone spent some time Device Control tab in MultiSIBControl to get those notifications working through pushsafer?

My goal is to e.g. turn on my geyser as soon as my batteries are @ 100%. Still looking for the best way to accomplish this.

I have 4 independent inverters connected to the same PC via RS232, only one inverter has Pylontech batteries connected to it.

Is it possible to select just this one for monitoring? I can't find an option to select which COM port to use for inverter.

The battery doesn't get much data from the inverter, at least that it can pass on. My understanding is that the computer running MultiSIB has to connect to the inverter, separately from the connection to the battery's BMS.

I hadn't thought about the battery being able to receive data from the inverter .and this made me think about 2 things 

1- since the battery sends all itsdata to the inverter , why Axpert VM III doesn't show them (for example the temperature and cell voltages )

2-can I get a WIFI dingle from Ali Axpress (one designed for inverter ) and connected to my battery and fetch data by watch power ?

I may have misspoken. Now that I think about it, I think that the BMS to inverter comms is all one way, BMS to inverter. Sorry for the confusion.

The inverter isn't interested in being a data hub; it just wants what it needs. You should be able to get a program that runs on a PC or Pi that communicates separately with the battery's BMS, often via an RS-232 port (as opposed to the RS-485 or CAN bus port for the inverter comms).

I'm 99%  sure that this won't work. Watchpower is only for talking to the inverter, not to the battery/BMS.

Do you think that is possible to adapt this software to work also with PYTES batteries?

I know PYLON is 15S and PYTES is 16S, but by looking at serial console, menu and commands seems to be similar.

I have attached captures from console from both PYTES and PYLON.

I have read through all 5 pages of this post 3 times in order to figure out how to connect my JK Inverter BMS via CAN from the BMS through a USB to RS485 converter. MultiSIB just won't see the batteries. If I use JK's battery management software I can read all the data. It's just a pain in the butt having to check between 2 screens to see what MultiSIB is doing and what JK's battery management software is doing. It would be nice if I could read all the data on MultiSIB.

 

Also I know it's possible to connect MultiSIB to the internet to monitor remotely but reading on how to do the setup is like reading Chinese for me. Could someone point me in the direction of a site that gives a novice the steps on how to set this up?
