    @Coulomb as I can see they shared FTP link so you can explore other folders , and I found many interesting things such as a firmware with 60.10 dated june-2024 (in the file meta data ) , accordin

  • [ Edit: There is a problem with this patched firmware; DO NOT USE! See here for the corrected version, now called x60.96, but still based on factory firmware version 60.95. It may be that unpat

DSP firmware VM III TWIN dsp 68.04

https://powerforum.co.za/topic/29708-axpert-firmware-collection-for-vm-iii-and-vm-iv-twin-models-only/?do=findComment&comment=204741

Edit: I've just realised that's a .hex file only. Here is the complete firmware update file.

This is factory firmware version 68.04, for the Axpert VM III Twin 6000W and 4200W. "Smart control the fans". Hex file is dated 2024/Jan/02. Do not use with other models. Use at your own risk.

Firmware upload instructions for models with a removable display.

Added hex file date.

Hello can someone help me

i got a new 4kw vm iii and its connected to the battery with a bms com cable

the thing is today at 6pm the grid came back and the battery was at 20% but it didn't switch to charging from the grid ,

it stayed charging slowly from solar at abt 8 amps dc

which is pretty low ofc

is there a way to make it like smarter !

 why is it charging at this low solar current instead of charging from the grid at the set maximum grid charging current 30A ??

--- it's set at SUB does changing it to USB solve the problem ??? ---

Hello @Jamil Tulimat,

Please enter into Inverter Menu and check program 01 (You can change between USB and APL) and set it to APL as it widens the input voltage range. Set program 16 to SNU ( solar + utility combined) for battery charging via Solar and Utility

@Jamil Tulimat,

This behavior is due to your inverter settings, which appear that you have set the charging priority to "Solar First", which in this option, as long as solar is available, it doesn't charge from AC. Change it to "Solar and Utility" and you should get the desired behavior. Another possible reason is what "ards" suggested, that the AC voltage is too low to use for charging or AC output, just make sure that it's not your case.

but the output priority was SUB i changed it to USB and it solved the problem

Output Priority has nothing to do with Battery Charging Priority at all. Try changing the output priority setting back to SUB and observe any difference again.

1 hour ago, Jamil Tulimat said:

why didn't they add an only utility charging option

There is already an option for "Utility First". There's no point in a utility only option.

Thanks a lot @Coulomb & @Tarek Yag for the reply and guidance, yes it could be by chance or timing when Inverter soft bus was starting and it was damaged. Any way I will take inverter to the repair center.

Current version of Inverter are

U1 = 56.02

U2 = 25.05

Secondly, I am not sure either this is original Voltronic VM III TWIN or not but the board and display are the same as Voltronic. Please guide how to see if this is original Voltronic or not.

@Nabeel Raza Yes I am from Pakistan, please guide how to check its make or model.

Inverter Specs.jpeg

Dear your inverter is 6kw model v4 twin comes in 4kw model twin means dual output. Does it have dual output you have to research on the Internet regarding your invert whether it is voltronic or not. If voltronic then which model of voltronic.

This has already been answered. He provided fair enough photos of his inverter and everything is obvious now. Thank you for trying to help.

Guys has someone got hands on the new firmware of v4 twin model? Other than v84 of main firmware or v39.26 of secondary firmware?

You're already up to date, seems like you catched up already. Take note that DSP version 84.00 is not the latest firmware and has NO smart fan control logic.

I'm not aware of any other available 84.xx firmware updates, other than 84.00. 84.00 is only 2 months old. I have no other 70.xx either, and 70.00 is 14 months old now.

 @Coulomb

I'm install 68.04 FW to my Axpert VM3 6kW twin and:

1. Diode CHG was blinking (was solid on 60.95 FW), But there is premature float bug present IMO . I was max charge current at 50A . So when current  down below 10A  for 5 minutes (cloud) diode become solid on.

2. Smart fan control is present but more agresive and loudly than in 60.95.They work very similar but in different ranges of temperature . Here's  comparison on the chart:

invtemp.png

Ambient temperature  was about 25oC.

The basic temperature at load 150-300W is for 60.95 about 35oC for 68.04 31oC.

One fan at mptt side working. This implies more noise for 68.04, and pleasent silence in 60.95.

If temperature goes up about 4-5 oC second fan switch on , and if goes up   rev's increasing to max.

In 60.95 inverter tryed to not exit 40oC and in 68.04 35oC.

3. Mptt works similar but I not investigated to much.

Finally, my account works.

I've tried the 60.95, the fans become so quiet and SLOW with minor speed changes when charging and on higher load; due to the hot weather now in Syria, I've checked the fans and the blown air is so hot and I didn't feel it's fine. I flashed back the 60.89, the fans speed is a little bit higher but it's more reasnoble in hot climate places and speed change is noticable.

I am from Syria, could I contact you regarding upgrading my axpert IV , i have triple a 6000 generation 3 and I want to upgrade it from 60.08 to 60.89 using OTG flash . Is it ok ? Could I face issues due to incompatibility between screen software and the main software I upgraded?

I have the same inverter. I want to know if you have upgraded it or not snd what’s your impression?

I am planning to do it using usb flash without laptop

I upgraded via computer I used the cable that came with the inverter With COM to USB converter It

is not recommended to use OTG, as the ones used in mobile phones are not compatible with inverters

You need to read the entire post here and the recommendations for successful work To note, there is no specialized technician to fix the upgrade defect because they do not understand it If you have any problems, disconnect the power supply from the inverter button, then the battery, and try again when the inverter starts to take off, and you will succeed. Of course, using a computer Good luck

Are you located in Damascus? I don’t have to needed laptop cables so I want someone to sell me them or if you know a technician who can upgraded it for me

Hi, yes you can use a USB flash disk with a Micro-B connector (photo attached) and it's available in the market.

Carefully read and follow the instructions in this post by @Coulomb to prepare the USB thumb, then follow the steps of OTG upgrade from the inverter's manual.

No, I believe there will be no issues.

Yes, totally normal! All what is needed is a good brand, in a good working condition flash disk connected to the Micro-USB port, whatever the type of that flash disk is. Or, as you are trying to use an adapter with a flash disk, all is ok, just make sure that it is a good one.

Not at all! I believe that OTG upgrading is easier and better than any other method for upgrading the DSP (U1) firmware. You don't need any other equipment in the normal circumstances, and you avoid using any other very low quality equipment (like USB to RS232) that are sold everywhere, which could end you up in more trouble than using OTG nice and clean.

Unlikely! But, in the case you face any new issues, then it is recommended to upgrade the MCU (display) firmware to solve any newer issues.

i have VM 4 Twin model with 6kw variant with main firmware version 76.60 , can you please confirm is this new firmware or old

Oh, boy! Another VM III or VM IV Twin firmware version number range! I have no other 76.xx firmwares at all. So I have no other 76.xx firmwares to compare it with.

Honestly, the best clue about the age of a firmware is the date stamp for the hex file inside the firmware update archive file.

Would it be possible to upload the whole firmware update archive file?

Or at least check the date of the hex file inside the archive?

Thanks for the hex file. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
