Brain trust- I’ve installed an 11kW RCT MX2 for a long time customer and mate of mine. I’ve carefully gone through documentation and even went to point of contacting Dyness who indicated it is compatible with several models (VMIiI and Axpert King). The manual refers to the use of RS485 as the communication protocol and requires the setting in the menu to be selected as PYL (#5). Despite going through all the settings there is an error code 60 which flashes on the unit front panel. Hello, Excuse my rough sketch but I'm trying to get my head around wiring my planned solar setup: 1) It is a micro inverter system, but in principal its the same as any solar system 2) AC coming from the roof micro inverters 3) I've run 4mm2 two core surfix with an earth (the earth is not illustrated in my drawing) from the mico inverters 4) As per my drawing, forget the other breakers eg. lights, geyser, stove etc. I just want to power the plugs circuit with Eskom + solar 5) No batteries installed, this is only used during the day to reduce Eskom load 6) Is my wiring idea roughly correct? Good day gentelmen.I will be installing a 8kw Sunsynk inverter in the next two weeks.I will have 2xRevov 5kw batteries and 12x 480w solar panels.Now my question is :Will it be a bad idea to have my geyser running on the system?. I am not sure how to set the system up to start off with and then maybe make changes to the system programme as time go buy? Any suggestions would be helpfull. Kind Regards

I hope you can be patient with me, as I am very new to this. - Sunsynk Hybrid Auto inverter - Synsynk 5.12KWh battery - 4KW of panels Everything seemed to work fine for the first 36 hours. The battery discharged to 20% overnight, then grid power was used until the sun came up. All good. But last night the battery discharge was unusual. Good evening all My Mecer Axpert MKS IV had an issue where after a day or two the screen letters go all jumbled and you cannot read the characters when going though the menu settings - only a reboot would fix it. I then saw this posted under the downloads section: I proceeded loading the display firmware executing the file --Remote Panel_ReflashTool.exe-- in the folder and selecting MCU update as the hex file is called mcu.hex - port opened, connected and then proceeded to erase the flash, then UNABLE TO WRITE error. Suddenly getting this error on Windows: "USB device descriptor failed" and no data on Raspberry Pi with USB cable. Tried using an RS232 cable for an update yesterday but the cable didn't work and now the USB is giving this error. Could the RS232 cable have caused the USB to fault? And if so, is the comms board replaceable/repairable and if so, does anyone have an old Axpert lying around to salvage the comms board from?

Hi .. I am hoping someone can shed light on this perplexing problem. I have a Growatt 5000 TL that started flashing a 02 fault after 11 months of light service. The unit continued to work satisfactorily for many weeks, with the fault on, but has now started switching off the unit, then restoring almost immediately, at fairly short intervals, even when the load was removed. I switched the unit off for a while, the fault condition disappeared , turned it on and it continued to work normally for a few hours .. Hello Guys! I have a Growatt SPF 5000 ES with 5 PVs 535w and 4 AGM VRLA Batteries connected en series. This Growatt never gives any notification or warning and everything running well. but watching it by self and by application from mobile (shine phone), discovered something strange if anyone has the same I don't know if it is an issue or not. Hi, I was wondering if someone could perhaps give me some assistance/guidance. I bought an Axpert King 5KW inverter and a Pylontech US3000C Battery as a backup/UPS system for when loadshedding strikes. After a few different forum topic (thanks everyone) I managed to get the setup completed and all seems to be working well except for one thing: Whenever I am running on Utility power and there is no cut off it seems as though when the battery is at 100% full it seems to use the battery for a while and then switch back as both the battery and inverter show that they are charging again. On this hybrid inverter I have no batteries, only panels and grid, and on PV1 is connected 6 panels (47V Voc) for total of around 270V some 3kW, and PV2 input is without any panel. What I noticed is that inverter (both in SUB and SBU mode) after connecting loads of 600-1000W is working ok but about some 10 minutes later is switching completely to grid and only draws some 30-50W from panels. In this first period and also later there is no error from inverter. Any hints why is this happening? Would it be better that I split panels and connect 3 panels to PV1 and other 3 panels to PV2 input? In that case, voltage per PV input will be 130-135V, is it enoug…

Hi everyone, I am new to solar and just feeling a little nervous doing the install myself. So I have been doing allot of reading. I ended up buying the SunSynk 5kw inverter and 6x Bifacial 650W Candian Solar panels as a start. Being a noob, I did not know or check information like Voc and any other string considerations. I would appreciate it is someone could firstly help me confirm with those panels would work with the inverter or do I have to return them for others? Hi All Im pretty much a noob at this but I am struggling to figure out my monitoring my inverter setup LINKQNET [Axpert] 5kVA PF1 48VDC 4000W MPPT 4x 48V 100AH Hubble Lithium batteries The short version is that I have implemented a few similar setup (but 3kVA) and I could add to Zabbix monitoring via the USB cable to Raspberyy Pi. This new inverter does not use a USB connection but has a RJ-45 connector to comms port adapter. I can't get it to talk to the Raspberry Pi I have tried the Watch Power app but it does not work.It detects device on COM 7 but no readings back from Watch Power. Any pointers or advice please. Hi everyone, I recently had a Sunsynk 8.8Kw installed (few days ago). This is a second hand unit to which I also received a SolarMan wifi data logger. I understand the unit to be about 8 months old and assume that the logger got sold initially with the unit. I downloaded the SolarMan Smart App and the Installer helped me set up my profile. I am able to remotely view the state of my system which is great. I was hoping to be able to remotely change settings, eg when loadshedding is announced etc to change that batteries are charged at a specific time and then de-activate that remotely as well when needed. I am comfortable with the entire process of how solar panels and batteries with the PV combiner box and Battery disconnect are wired into the inverter. Currently struggling to understand the wiring for the Ac Protection Box into the inverter and linking it to the main DB. My main DB board has been split into a critical load (essential load) and non-critical load (non-essential load) with both having required earth leakage protection. Hi I have a 3kva/3kw Axpert VM hybrid inverter ("Solar Solved Africa" brand) and two 230ah flooded lead acid batteries. The inverter is set to prioritise our two 275w solar panels. At irregular intervals the inverter display "freezes" and there is no power output. Hi I got apparently a clone POWLAND 3000Kva 2400w 24v 230vac Solar Inverter 40A MPPT Solar Charger 25A Charger, it is one of those all-in ones which can act as a charger and ups at the same time, it is set to do charge from panels first then battery and then mains if nothing else is available. I have set the voltage to return to mains battery charging when the voltage drops to 23.5 volts and return back when the battery reaches 27 volts. Lately, i go to sleep and the battery is at 24 volts and charging from mains, no equipment is on or drawing any power, yet the next morning the battery reads 23.7 and not charging from mains, so is it not charging, how can it go from 2…

Hi, so I managed to blow a varistor because of a protection cartridge and my stupidity. I worked on it while it was powered on. Anyway, the problem is I cant find anywhere the exact same thing. So i have the system flow looking like this… never mind images too large… options ticked… zero export load priority use timer… if i untick the use timer option, it does not use battery to drive any loads… this is not ideal, as i only want excess to help heat geyser on ct coil… any ideas…
