Hi, I hope that some one can assist. I am installing a second inverter making this a 10 kw system. The one is a Growatt SPF 5000TL HVM and the secon one is a Growatt SPF 5000TL HVM-P. One inverter did not have a Parallel card installed and the other do have one installed by the factory. I see the Axpert inverters card looks the same as the Growatt ones These pins on the connector are identical but will they work in the Growatt? I did try to look at the card already installed in my Growatt and the two does look exactly the same. Pins and all. …

I mainly change my battery via solar panels, but I would also like to have the option to charge it from another 12v battery. Main reason for doing this is to top up the battery during cloudy days. So I'm thinking of getting an inverter and connect it to the grid input on my inverter and charge my battery that way. My current system looks like this: 1 x RCT-Axpert 5K inverter 6 x 250watt panels 1 x US3000C PylonTech battery Not grid connected. Would a 1000w inverter be able to do the job, or do I need something bigger?

When load exceeds available solar, the unit either majes up the difference with battery or utility. But what happens when load exceeds rated power of the unit itself (3kw)? My understanding is that brief microsecond peaks upto 6kw are handled by the unit, but I also understood that it would switch to bypass mode and supply power from utility. However, does this mean that loads over 3kw can be safely supplied by the unit, albeit via the utility supply, or will the unit cut out (or burn out), disconnecting all supply? For example. I can happily power the washing machine or dishwasher at the same time as general loads like the fridge etc, but if both were used at the sa…

Guys my problem with this UPS is when grid 220v ac power is off unit goes into battery back up mode but then after 2seconds the fan drops in speed the output ac voltage goes up to 239v and not stable. Fluctuate between 235 and 239v(not fast) Frequency doing the same (but faster) fluctuate between 49 to 51KHZ. The load is a 50w bulb and the dc amps on battery cables is already 3.5amps. when add 100w load (soldering bolt) DC current jumps to +/_ 9amps (too much battery will drain quicker). Tested all mosfets (multimeter for shorts) , diodes, all resistors, switching transistors etc. (OK). Replaced electrolytic capacitors but checked only the 5caps on input of 12vDC fo…

I recently installed a Growatt SPF5000 ES with two Dyness Lithium Batteries. Since the installation of the system, the cooling fan of the inverter was running non-stop. The person that did the installation claimed it should be the case, but I cannot see any logic in it. That fan will not last if it doesn't stop running when the system is cold. BTW, the system is running cold all the time. When touching the case, it doesn't feel warm at all. I then decided to approach another agent for Growatt to add four Solar Panels to my installation, and also to see what is wrong with the system. He did the installation and couldn't get the fan to stop either. He mentioned that he thin…

Hi All, I have just installed a Growatt SPF 5000TL HVM 5kVA/5kW connected to a Dyness 9.6kWh Lithium Battery, however the communications (via the BMS connection using the RJ45 cable) does not appear to work. When I set the battery type to “Li” (Lithium), the inverter stops and the error code 20 (BMS communication error) shows on the screen. I'm assuming this is because a standard fly-lead that was shipped with this kit... simply will not cut it. I can see in the product manuals, the pins for the Inverter and the Battery are described (although I have some confusion with their descriptions) 1. Does someone have an accurate wiring diagram of how that cable mu…

Hi all, I recently got a Growatt SPF-5000 es installed with the Dyness B4850 2.4kw batteries. Setsolar installed this last week for me, but when they were ready to start the system we had loadshedding, so all seemed fine when they started it as I had power through loadshedding, unfortunately as soon as loadshedding stopped and the batteries charged the system started beeping about every 5seconds, and the inverter shows error code 19 "Battery disconnect". I've been struggling to get setsolar out to correct this so did some digging myself and realized the host battery doesnt have its dip's set correctly to 0110, its all just 0000 for the host and slave. This should be…

I have been investigating my TheSunPays inverter and would like some confirmation but I believe it's a clone. Using the link http://forums.aeva.asn.au/viewtopic.php?p=71752&sid=6b325ba7c8ab56403a8228de972d547f#p71752 This one has a sticker on top telling the me not to use certain firmware settings, or the machine will blow up and warranty will be voided. The serial number is 15 not 14 digits Screws are silver and not black The "1 Φ" appearing as "1 ¢" Inverter value is the 5355ish number in ICC Firmware is listed as LC1 72 70C Did phone thesunpays support but was informed that all inverters are voltroni…

Hello everyone. İ bought deye sun-6k-sg01lp1-eu hybrid inverter but there is a label problem in the inverter. The board label inside the inverter is labeled grid L which has the Red cable coming from it also labeled grid L which then connects to the Grey contact (under the Grey contact it also is labeled grid L) which comes to the Black fuse. From the fuse it comes to the neutral grid at the bottom of the bottom board. You can see from the picture i have attached and have circled. Which one is the correct label, is it the grid L labeled cable or is it the neutral at the green connector at the bottom of the board? The bottom board name is SUN-5K-SG02…

Hi We have installed a Sunsynk 8Kw Hybrid with 5Kw panels and 3 x Pylontech UP5000 (to be upgraded to 3 as soon as available) All load, except for Geysers and Aircons are on essentials, with a CT coil facing correctly from the grid. There is also legal feedback to the grid. Although the feed to the inverter is connected to grid-earth, when the change over switch is set to inverter all essential loads are without earth. When set to grid, earth is present. Question: Do I need to install an earth-spike to the inverter, a relay or what is the solution.

I happened across this today: https://www.mppsolar.com/v3/pylontech/ "We are pleased to announce that our MPI Hybrid inverter family is now ready to support Pylontech US2000B Plus lithium batteries, through the newly added BMS support via RS485 card" At the end, it used to say: "Note: PIP-GK and PIP-MK starting Dec 2018 will also be able to work with Pylontech lithium batteries." [ Edit: the above disappeared for a few weeks, then was replaced with this: "PIP-GK and PIP-MK 48V models (5048GK, 5048MK), starting January 2019, will be updated with special firmware PCB for use with Pylontech Lithium batteries. Users simply simply have to con…

Hi everyone I installed a Goodwe ES 4.6 inverter with 1 x Pylontech US3000 battery a couple months ago and it has been working flawlessly since then. It replaced by old AVR 5.5KVA petrol generator which I used to have connected to the main db board via a crossover switch. My question is - in the event of an extended power outage that exceeds the length that the battery can supply, am I able to provide grid replacement power to this inverter via the generator. The generator is connected to the house with a crossover switch. In the event of a grid failure, I used to switch from grid to generator. I am therefore wondering if the same system would apply as I have he…

Hi, is the sunsynk data logger worth the buy? I am almost done with my installation and I have the solar man stick logger. Haven’t used it or any of them but I would assume the sunsynk is the way to go. although I’m abit confused with the sunsynk data logger, I went to look on the powerforum store at the logger description and it said there were 4 levels of uses? Seeing as though I am a new user (one of the levels) would I not be able to change parameters or settings on the app? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

I have a 1000W (24V) inverter trolley with 2 x 12V batteries. I recently replaced the 2 Gel batteries with 100Ah Lithium Ion batteries. All is working fine most of the time, but on 3 occasions now the inverter tripped when load shedding kicked in (switching from AC to batteries). I then switch the inverter back on an all is well again. My inverter indicates a 30% load consistently including when above happens. This never happened with the GEL batteries and I am not sure if it could be battery related. Any comments/suggestions on what could cause this?

Hi team I also have a GW5048D-ES Goodwe Inverter where I'm currently were happy with the unit. I experienced the same issues as what was referenced in the chat Goodwe 5048ES not restarting after backup output trips. I was so glad to pick up that it was not only me experienceing the issue and are now able to set up my device accordingly My question that I would like to ask to the forum is now that I have a better understanding of the four modes e.g. General / Backup / Off Grid / Eco Mode, will it do any harm if I interchange between the modes lets say on a daily basis? I have found that with all the load shedding I sometimes need a different mode to be used fo…

Hi all and thanks for your help. This is what I have: 1. Mains DB with own Earth leakage, sub-db with earth leakage for essentials & inverter. 2. Where does the AC INPUT to my inverter come from to charge? Can I just take it from the bottom of the main DB Isolator directly to the DB Incoming AC or how would you do it? I was thinking of "charging" the batteries from a CB in the main DB. 3. The sub DB will be wired as a normal DB, with plugs on earth leakage and lights no earth leakage? 4. From what I have learned so was, the sub DB has to have two seperate neutral bars; one for circuits without earth leakage and one for circuits with earth lea…
