Hi Guys Last night my Sunsynk 8kw decided that it was disowning Eskom and will no longer connect to the grid 🙂 It came up with an F13 Grid_Mode_changed error and since then seems unable to connect. The green light does come on for AC power supply above the screen. Anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem could be?

Deye 12kw hybrid datasheet: https://www.deyeinverter.com/deyeinverter/2021/04/12/【b】hybridinvertersun-8-10-12k-sg04lp3.pdf Longi 545W bifacial datasheet: https://static.longi.com/L_Gi_LE_T_TMD_059_108_LR_5_72_HBD_530_550_M_35_30_and_15_V14_4c79e9b9a7.pdf Deye has 2 MPPTs: 26A + 13A Longi under lab/STC conditions outputs: 13.92A and I will have 20 panels. Ideally, I want to create two strings one on each MPPT. Can I hookup 1 string of 10 panels to the MPPT with 13A limit? Couple of installers I spoke with said yes since STC current is ideal and never really happens in real world. OTOH, these panels are bifacial so i need to factor in 10-15% additional amps a…

Super excited as my new system is in process of being installed. 23 Ja Solar 455w panels feeding through 3 strings to 3 Sunsynk 5kw hybrid inverters in parallel. This will power 3 Hubble 5.5kw batteries. Yay! I exclaimed to my installer. I will soon be out of the clutches of big bad Eskom. Not so old man, said my installer shaking his head sagely. Your Hubbles have not yet arrived. Your system cannot power your home if you do not have batteries and the power from Buffalo City Munkeypality goes down. You will only have power from your panels feeding your home if you either have batteries ( which haven’t arrived!) or BCM is feeding your home from the grid. When the gri…

Hello everyone, This post is for users / installers for Luxpower SNA5000WPV inverters. I am considering swapping my current Growatt SPF5000ES for multiple Luxpower devices (I want to upgrade to make provision for my 11-ish KW peak hour consumption and Eskom have now finally made me commit). If anyone has the answer to these questions, I would appreciate it: I read in the doccies that the maximum battery discharge power is limited to 4 000W. I am assuming that this would be per inverter and that I would get a potential 8 000W / 12 000W if I parallel 2 / 3 inverters (based on available battery configuration). Is this assumption accurate? (I assume th…

Hi, So I have this little problem with my Axpert King inverter i just installed. Previously I had the MKS 4kw 5kva version and the Solar power i got average on a sunny is about 2.3kw per inverter, there are 3x3 330w panels on each inverter giving a total of 2970 or 5940w for both. After i installed the Kings i noted that the PV utilization is shot to hell. Whats strange is is that it seems that the PV utilization is somehow link to the total load in a way, the max utilization seems to be 1.7kw per inverter if under load. I have tried changing multiple setting but cannot seem to get it to function correctly. Please see attached screenshots of set…

Hi Everyone, I'm new to the forum, I sincerely hope there are a few bright sparks who can help me out? My setup: Inverter: 5KW Axpert King (ERS King 5K, Firmware 71.80) See attached data label Battery: 2 x 3.5KW Pylontechs PV's: 12 x Jinko 315W, 35Vdc (4 x stings of 3 panels delivering 105Vdc) Monitoring: ICC PIE I want to run the system in SUB mode so that I can use all the energy the panels produce in my load and if it falls short I want to blend from the utility. I want to keep my batteries full and ready for power outages and load shedding only. All my research and conversations with others led me to believe that the King could do…

I've got a Deye 12kw 3p hybrid inverter at home. I might need a few exra mppt's to manage more strings. One of the simplier ways is to connect a grid tie inverter to the gen port and let te dye manage it. Do I need to connect a 3p grid tie inverter, or would it potentially be possible to use a 1p gried tie inverter?

Hey! What I initially thought was only a calibration issue, (That I asked about it in a previous post) I now notice is a non linear reading issue. When my multimeter reads 12.4V on my new battery, my axpert is already busy flashing it's warning light, reading 11.9V on the display. However it's reading the higher voltages correctly? Is this something I should worry about? I circumvented this by setting the cutoff very low, however I don't know if it's going to charge it correctly. I checked the voltage at the terminals and not at the battery, so it's not my cables.

I have a Kodak 20kva inverter and have set it to prioritize SBU switching back to utility at 48v and charging till full. My charging is set to solar first. The above is not happening and the inverter always reverts back to utility even when battery is full - Am I doing something wrong ?

Hi, Is it possible to connect pv to both mppt in parallel with a Sunsynk/Deye inverter? I have seen that you can do that with the LuxPower SNA 5000, so then you basically double the input current capacity of the pv to the mppt, but of course then just have one input to 2 mppt. Thanks.

I have a MultiPlus II 8000, MPPT RS450/100 and 18 x 370w solar panels. I have a 8kw lithium battery bank. I am not allowed to feed into the grid. I don't have a ET112 energy meter installed currently. My whole DB board goes through the system. Critical loads on AC1 and 2 geysers and a small stove on AC2. I live in SA and we have blackouts twice daily for 2 hours Which uses about 30% of my battery bank (maximum). When the geyser and stove switches on the solar power is usually sufficient but sometimes there is a shortfall and is supplemented by the battery instead of the grid. What are my options here? 1) Is there a way to program ESS / another assistant to ensur…

Is there a simple way to set timing on the Axpert MK4? I purchased the Solar Assistant, which is great for monitoring but I feel in order to get the "most" out of my solar, I am having to set things manually, which is a real pain. I tried the settings in Menu 99 and 100 and in theory they work, but practically they do not really. Currently I switch to SBU at 5am and by 10am when I am producing more solar than I am using, the battery is usually around 50% so it is charged from solar and by 14:30 when the shade hits the panels, the battery is usually fully charged and I switch back to SUB. If I use this little system I have then I generate around 5kwh a day from the so…

Evening all Solar noob here. I have a Sunsynk 5kw that throws the above error every time I simulate loadshedding by throwing the breaker between the grid connection and my main DB. I have solar panels installed (and delivering power) but no battery. Battery settings set up to reflect this. Grid settings set to 50hz. Syunsynk data logger is not showing much more in terms of detail. Anyone seen this before? Anyone have any advice? Many thanks

I have a Mecer 2400VA similar to this in our complex guardhouse that provides backup power to CCTV and the comb intercom (controlling the gate access remotes). This causes a puzzling issue when the UPS is operating as the gate remotes work very intermittently and inconstantly. When the intercom system runs off its own battery or Eskom the remotes work without an issue. It seems the UPS is outputting a RF signal in the 400Mhz band blocking the remote's signal from reaching the intercom box outside. Would popping a few of these clip on ferrites on to the leads coming from and to the inverter fix this?

I recently installed a Axpert 3kw inverter. I notice that it has a coms port, and I received a cable, (looks like RJ45 to serial). Can I connect this port my PC to view the status? Or is it just for configuration? What software can I use? Cheers, Christiaan

Hi Most Knowledgeable, Very much a newbie in the Solar Space, but have a 5Kva Fivestar PVA, with 1 lithium battery, and 6 x 450w panels. The system has been running well for the last 6 months and has reduced my electric bill and pulled us through load shedding bouts so really happy with it's purpose. But it's our first winter now and twice my wife switched on the heater, microwave and toaster and the invertor tripped (beeps with error 58) - installer recommended to unplug high voltage stuff and restart the invertor (turn it off and on again hehe) - the first time when I turn it off invertor still had power, so switched mains and disconnected PV negative and res…

I assume that Axpert is the original manufacturer, too late, I did not know and unfortunately I bought this clone (blue-white color chassis) from Aliexpress. My believe is that the inverter came broken: I have no batteries on the inverter. When I connect PV power (+-4kW), AC in and AC out, I measure that the inverter is only taking power from the grid, not from the PV. The inverter is in SOL mode, but never disconnects from Grid. When there is no load, the inverter is using +- 2A, which is around 460watts, the manual says that it should be consuming < 35W. When all is connected, including PV power and I disconnect the AC input, the load goes off. I test…
