March 23, 20224 yr Interestingly, I installed a new AM-2 this morning the Capacity showed 100AH, the SoC was ~50% (shipping voltage I suppose). It proceeded to charge up to 103.4% SoC. Now, after about an hour, the Capacity is shown as 103.4 AH and SoC is 100%.

Interesting stats - @Mier could you confirm which Inverter or BMS system is being used?

April 6, 20224 yr Have an issue with SoH dropping to 40% after a few weeks. Sent into hubble and apparently they found an incorrect firmware version (2.04). Has anyone had this experience and collected a working battery? Unsure what firmware they put on it.

Yet to power up my four Hubble AM2's received earlier this year and hoping if there is a common firmware issue, that this can be amended remotely using the Cloudlink (RIOT). As stated earlier in this post - Hubble will be able to perform remote assessment of batteries should you have a Cloudlink installed. Avoids having to haul these batteries across town. Glad to hear the problem could be resolved through firmware update and not hardware related.

April 6, 20224 yr My AM-2 also had SOH issues. They could not load firmware remotely via cloudlink, do not know the reasons why. I had to install the firmware manually via serial port. The firmware they provided was a 2.04 flavour. The SOH issue persisted after the firmware update. The troubleshooting continued for some days. They probably did something (settings or newer firmware) after my firmware action, because the SOH issue got resolved and still remains at SOH=100 for the last couple of weeks.

Hopefully there is a fix soon which can be deployed. Waiting for Hubble support to advise. In the mean time using voltage settings.

April 12, 20224 yr I'm also having this issue. Battery was installed in Sep 2021. It's amazing that we are all having problems at the same time. Surely the software doesn't suddenly go haywire to the extent that the battery capacity halves? What is the fix for this?

The interim fix is to use AGM/V settings. 3. Some have reported a firmware update - I've not yet been updated 😞

Without repeating the process - first take a look at the posts made in this thread on February 16, by both Maxxis and PowerForum Store. The workaround solution has been described there. There are additional points made later in the discussion with regards to exactly which values to utilise in the manual setup, i.e. whether to use what is listed on the batteries themselves, or the Hubble website (https://www.hubblelithium.co.za/sunsynk-hubble-setup.html). This discussion has been very detailed in this regard and currently majority have settled for using AGM settings, while few have indicated firmware updates have solved the problem. Do you have a Cloudlink installed? - as this will permit remote assessment and support of the batteries by Hubble.
April 14, 20224 yr @werner.potgieter I contacted the support in the beginning of the week to load the firmware, they have struggled to send the files to me. They finally got the files uploaded through We-transfer today received version 2.05, but now I still have not received the email with instructions and password for using the BMS Upgrade tool, and its Easter Weekend so will wait a while now. Have you received an password or email of some sort you would mind sharing / pm with me ? Edited April 14, 20224 yr by Guthrum

April 15, 20224 yr I also need to update firmware. Can this be done easily using a laptop? Is there a special cable required?
April 15, 20224 yr You will need a cable to connect to the RS232 port of the Hubble. Pin-outs below as supplied by Hubble Support. The other end of this cable goes into your PC/laptop via USB.

Which AM2 battery port do you use for the firmware - is it RS232/RJ11 console port or the RS485/Modbus port? Q2. Can the RIOT/Cloudlink not update the BMS firmware? Q3. Can you use the (I guess this depends on Q1): Solar-Assistant Hubble-AM2 USB/RS232 cable RJ11 jack - connect to console port https://solar-assistant.io/shop/products/hubble_am or Solar-Assistant USB/RS2485 cable with RJ45 jack - connects to RJ485/Modbus port https://solar-assistant.io/shop/products/sunsynk_rs485 connected to a laptop to do the update? April 15, 20224 yr A1. I used the 6pin RJ11/RS232 port, successfully. A2. RIOT is supposed, however in my case it seems Hubble Support could not. A3. I do not know, but I think it should work, but at R500 it is a bit steep for a RS232 cable. https://solar-assistant.io/shop/products/hubble_am
