Hi. I´ve recently bought a VP 3000-24 whith a 25.5 V 200 Ah lithium battery. Solar panels are 5, 60 cells 265 w,, and the charger is a 50 A PWM. I could see dinamic response is very, very slow. Does anybody know if there is a firmware to change it? PWM is 300 Hz, but the Duty Cicle increases/decreases very slowly. That is a problem when de 18650 bank is charged to 28 Volts and a big load is disconected,

I have taken an interest to understand the Axpert display parameters and what they actually mean. I took the display at about 09:40hrs. Select parameters as follows: Charging Current? (Is this a generation of the MPPT Charger based on the adjustment in proportion to the voltage drop to match battery voltage i.e panel voltage to battery voltage or just the straight panel optimal operating current under NOCT less losses? The lowest panel NOCT Imp is 6.71A giving us 26.84A before losses. However, looking at the IV Curve of the lowest panel in the configuration at 600W/sqm irradiance and voltage of about 29V 5.5A is possible). Battery bank voltage? (at sunrise …

Good day all, I've had a really crappy day so far. I went to buy some steel to make a security gate (instructions from SWAMBO). While inside someone broke into my Toyota Hilux and tried to steal it, broke the ignition, but thankfully I have an immobiliser. R1500 later, (call out to remove ignition and steering lock, then replace ignition) I'm back at the steel place to load my steel, get back home and start my project. Then one welding lead breaks clear off right inside the handle, no biggy, I get that fixed and continue to weld. 15 minutes later BOOM, the welder blows and also trips the mains. Hi Guys I’m looking to start my own solar install. I’ve been browsing this forum on and off for the last 3 years (I think) trying to better understand some of the concepts and to think about how I would like to implement a setup for myself. When I first looked at this my daily usage was about 15KWh a day, with most of that in the evening, so due to low usage during daytime, it required me to have a battery setup which made the whole concept uneconomical for me, considering my monthly usage was only R500. It's late here, I'm tired and it's been a rough week... now I've just had a thought that perhaps I have misunderstood the spec sheet/behaviour of the MPPT in the Axpert MKS 3KVA-48V and was wondering if someone can check I'm not missing something before I hit the go button on the rest of my system please? The PV Array MPPT Voltage Range spec of this particular Axpert is 60-88V and the maximum PV Array Voc is 102V. Can anyone just reassure me that my initial understanding is correct (I hope!) and that this means that in a given situation (eg very sunny, hot day or conversely on a freezing, cloudy day) if the array Vmp occurs below 60V (or above 88V) that the Axpert MPP…

Is it ok/safe/legal to connect the inverter back up (UPS) neutral on a Goodwe ES inverter to the grid neutral? Basically in line with the Aussie (MEN) requirement (see attachment). The advantage of this is that only one neutral wire between inverter and DB board is required.

So our own @plonkster was so kind to write this script that you can run on the Color Control of the Victron in order to upload your data to PV Output. It is working quite well and so far I haven had any problems with the script it self. The only thing that I cannot get going is to load the script at start up , when the Color Control reboots. Currently you need to log in via terminal and then start the script. From all the Linux forms I figured that you need to make the script executable and then add it to the rc.local file. Hi To give a bit of background, I have 6x260W panels connected 3 panels in series and the 2 banks of 3 in parallel. They are mounted on a solar tracker which gives around 1.2kW from 9AM to 5PM. I have 12 x 100Ah batteries 4 in series to give 48VDC and the 3 banks in parallel for a total of 300Ah @ 48V. We constantly draw between 150W and 220W. The inverter cuts out at around midnight due to battery voltage too low. I think its set to 46V. My main concern is that when I look at the inverter the display says the batteries are fully charged at around 10AM and the battery voltage is 56 odd volts. Hi experts, here want to share with you my current setup using Axpert MV II 5KVA inverter and Li-Ion batary. Buttery bank build with 6 block each having 14 cells (Li-Ion panasonic from used Ford C-Max enery) with total 84 cells and block voltage of 48 volt. Solar power connected 10 panel 320W each, every two panel in series, charging battery at 60amp max for 57.0 volt and system discharge it at night untill 46.0 volt then back to utility at 5:00 am on average, with load 500w from house appliance. Ok lads a silly request from me. I am busy planning the install of a 2nd Axpert to go in parallel with my 3 year old inverter. I have an inverter that is a month older than my current machine (the ideal partner). I find the parallel cables untidy and would like to put them into trunking along with all the extra cabling. I am planning on using trunking with two channels to separate DC and AC cabling. My observation it that most of the cabling can be accommodated in trunking running horizontally below the inverter but the battery cables run vertically. My clients generally ask for GTIs or hybrids and a couple of single Axperts so this is not something I have thoug…

Today my 'UPS' was finally installed and working. My Quattro manages AC Out 1 and AC Out 2 so all heavy loads are dropped on a grid failure. No ESS configuration yet. Grid - Energy Meter - Quattro -> AC Out 1 and AC Out 2. On the Venus GX interface I currently see only total power from grid and total power to loads. I was wondering if there is a way to see seperate power for AC Out 1 and AC Out 2? Attached two screen prints of the Current and one I modified to show the Wanted. Is this possible on either Venus GX, VRM Portal or even via Modbus? Ingo

Hi Everyone, i have testing Infini 3kw plus inverter with 8 PV @100WP,, i see draw 164V maximum voltage, this is above the spec of the PV but, the power generated from PV only max 200W (below my expectation about 600 or 700 watt) this time no load and only used to charge AGM battery 48V 190Ah i was set the battery floating on 2.28vPC. is this Normal or Not? attach screen shoot data log below Alkafak

Hi all I have few questions about axpert inverter Is there any way to read and backup the existing firmware from inverter before flashing new firmware. so in case if the new firmware is not compatible, we may restore the previous one. if we flash wrong firmware (main firmware) then what will happen. does it bricks(hard brick) the inverter or we can reflash it using com port again or have goto customer care. what if we don't have com port on inverter. Is firmware flashing possible using usb port. Regards

hi folks, with icc set to time control 02:00 to 17:00 solar/battery, i had the axpert switch between grid and battery 64 times with a base load of about 500w since 0200 this morning. it obviously is not that the batteries [2xpylontech] can not carry that load, what can it be? the batteries should at least be able to carry the load for 5 hours... they are in prime condition. so it must be some axpert settings?! your help is appreciated

I will post some picks later but I made the brave dive into Victron with all of it various settings. I am running ESS but there is a setting that I am missing on the charge controller. The MPPT does not go to bulk charge. Keep in mind that I draw my batteries down to a max of 85%. I am quite new to this part so what info should I pass along?

I need some clarity on the Quattro 48/5000 current capacity. The manual states 'Maximum feed through current (A) 2 x 100' but then there is an 'Auxiliary output (A) 50'. Can anyone shed some more light on the two statements? Can I assume the AC Out 2 is also called the Auxiliary output and that is rated only at 50A Max? And the 2 x 100 is actually the AC Out 1 capacity? (all of which is when the grid is available obviously) Ingo

Morning to All! I have the 5KVA 48V Axpert connected to 2x4 150Ah Omnipower Batteries. The Axpert's low voltage cutout is set at the highest possible setting - 48V.. It's very rare for me to go below 50V. On the odd occasion in the past that I did so, the HS04 Low Voltage Warning started blinking at around 49V, and the system cut out at 48V. Of late, the low voltage warning starts blinking at around 51V, and the system cuts out at around 50V. This is despite the low voltage cutout setting still being at the highest possible 48V. Any ideas how to set this right?
