Hi, I've newly registered to the forum but have been viewing the forum as a guest previously. TBH it's the best solar forum that I've found & is very accommodating for newbies. You do have one policy that I do find a bit harsh though. 15 posts to download files that would be very useful for newbies like me! May I humbly suggest that it is lowered - especially for files that are helpful for newbies! I really want to download the Axpert settings as I think that it would help me setting up my new system but really don't want to post 15 posts of gibberish before I actually get going. Can anyone kindly PM me the latest version if it's not going against any rules …

Hi All, I suppose the obvious questioned never asked is the following: Can one parallel a Voltronic of the same family with another with a different rating, e.g. a Infinisolar V series 5kW with a Infinsolar V series 4 kW? Same question applies for the Super, Plus or even old Axpert series What say ye?

Will a grid- tie Inverter work properly to feed excess S.P. generated units accumulated during the day, back into the utility supply line ? These PAYG meters diplay the number of units to your credit digitally. Will it in fact add on the generated units to your displayed credit ?

Hi Expert, I need some help or advice with my inverter not responding to command on either any of the application ICC/solarpower/watchpower any more , It stock on bypass via Utility unless I switch off the main feed breaker then it goes to SOL/battery mode. I did check if any fault alarm is blinking and I found nothing. DOes this mean that my unit is faulty or something? Please do let me know if you require more information or advice on any reputable certified company that can check the system health for me. Many Thank in Advance.

I just bought a 24V Victron 1.3KW Multiplus inverter charger to run electronic gadgets and lights in my house. My battery bank is 4 units of flooded 360Ah usbattery 6V. I am thinking of running a 2nd inverter on the same 24V battery bank to power my refrigerator and deep freezer, about 800W total. The 2nd inverter may be a xantrex inverter without charger function. Is it possible to design the system in such a manner that the 2nd inverter will only work when the battery SOC is between 90-70% and dropping? This is to prevent total depletion of the battery bank. However, there may be issues with switchover to grid power when power is restored because the Xantrex inverter h…

Hi, I have one of the Renesola 3KW hybrid inverters from Bonanza's current special. Well, actually I have 2... Couldn't say no at the price. I had in mind to use it with 8 x T105RE batteries, but comparing the inverter specs with the recommended charge for the batteries I see the inverter comes up short in maximum voltage. The batteries want 59.28v for bulk charge (never mind 64.8 to equalise). The inverter maxes out at 58V Amps wise the inverter can deliver 25A which I think will be sufficient. But I'm guessing that the voltage shortfall will mean my batteries won't get 100% charged. And I can't equalise. What are my options? Would it be OK…

So I was wondering if it would be possible to connect a grid tie inverter on the output side of my Axpert inverter? That way when the sun is shining the PV is being pushed into the homes grid and being consumed by all the other appliances that are not on the inverter output (geyser, washing machine, dishwasher etc) In the event of a mains failure the Axpert would take over and supply power to the essential loads as well as the grid tie inverter so that the PV panels continue to supply power to the loads connected to the battery inverter only?

Hi. We installed an Axpert 5kVA inverter (offgrid setup). After adding a BMV702 realized the axpert uses 65W with absolutely no load attached other than itself. This seems excessive, or is it correct? Any thoughts or similar experience

Hey guys. Since I got Eskom on the farm I could take a bit of strain off my batts but now there seems to be a Charge "Leak" when I am on UTL mode at night. My settings is as follow: 11 - Util - 2a 16 - OSO So according to my sources it should not be charging at night but as you can see from the graphs there is a constant 29 to 30 watt charge going into the batts. ZOOM View: Anyone else have , had this before? @Coulomb ?

This evening I opened up a lightning damaged Axpert and despite a direct strike on the panels and house there is surprisingly little wrong with the inverter (as far as I can tell). On the DC side there are 2 MOSFETs blown and plan to replace all of them with 100V MOSFETs recommended by @Coulomb. The vulnerable 63V Jamicon capacitors appear normal but I plan to replace them. There are several film capacitors that have suffered damage or have just been vaporised. On the AC side there are some damaged IGBTs @Coulomb I am battling to remove the central heat sink. Is there a trick? I managed to undo all the screws even the ones behind th…

Hello guys I have a 24v 3kw Devel Pure Sine Inverter, 2x12v 200ah Batteries, Battery balancer and BMV702 monitor. Most of the appliances that I use are pumps and grinders i.e. electrical motor units, fridges, etc. In total I rarely exceeds more than 600-800w at a time and I never have issues. Now I was running some tests with other appliances. I plugged in a warm hairbrush (150w) with no other loads at the time and it seemed like the inverter was completely going into overdrive with make the loud vibration buzzing noise. Is this normal? Is the load then too heavy? Because the BMV702 only showed a spike of about 350w at the time? Thanx Stepha…

Hi, I have a problem with a Axpert MKS 48V. Program 29 is not letting me adjust the battery cut off and has a little spanner next to it. I'm guessing it is another setting that is blocking it. Any Ideas?

HI All I currently have a Victron 150/70 charging 4 x T105 (225Ah; 24V). I limited the charge current to 33A to ensure I don't overcharge my batteries. Taking into account that the inverter use 2A and base load is around 4A I am around 27A maximum charge of my batteries. I am looking into adding my pool pump/borehole pump to solar as well. The problem is that at 750W the pool pump draws 30A Plus, thus drawing power from the batteries. So I am looking for a solutions to increase my charging from my MPPT during these times. Will a Victron CCGX linking the MPPT to my BMV-700 be able to do this (Taking into account that I have VERY LIMITED to NO programming…

Here are some pics of an Inverter that was in a garage in Dynefontein.....Warning graphic content!!!! Don't install within 8km's of water...this is what condensation does to Imeon...or just a pretty poor build product, Sadly the client threw it out......so i have spares... Imeon chose not to honour their 5 year warranty and opted to charge the client for a new one....Needless to say he told them what to do with the product and would pursue the legal route with the SA Distributors

The Axpert MKS inverters are a nice and relatively trouble free inverter. The only thing lacking is battery equalizing in the MPPT or inverter. Do any one know of a solution to this problem? I install mainly off grid systems in the rural areas en every now and again I get a call that the batteries does not last. Then I have to load my 64v charger and a generator and go sit there for hours waiting for the batteries to equalize and some systems are over 500km from me. I would appreciate any insight and or solutions for this

Hi Guys I have something strange happening with my inverter setting overload bypass=enabled it fails over to the grid to support the load which is normal but what is strange for me is if I disabled the overload bypass it actually runs the load without shutting down for instance when i start the microwave I have tested this with both settings and when overload bypass is enabled it will go to grid as I think the initial load is to high but when disabled it stays on the batteries without shutting down the inverter and actually handles the load. This is just something I noticed. Regars

Hi All, I have a 48V 5MKS that sometimes gets overdrawn into the beep zone. Was thinking of paralleling another unit and see the 5ks on special for R5670. Besides the missing MPPT - any reason not to parallel an MKS and a KS unit? thanks
