I have a solar backup system with the blue Goodwe inverter at home in Woodmead, Johannesburg. I'm not happy with the service received from the installer. I've had someone else check our system and they recommend new lithium ion batteries to replace our old lead batteries. They are battling to work with the blue model and say their supplier can't support the blue ones. Seems to install new batteries settings need to be changed on the inverter and they can't do this. Would appreciate it if anyone could recommend someone who could help with this. Thanks Gregg

Hi all, We just got our new solar panels installed (9x330W), including a (Mecer-branded) Axpert 5KVA and a 48V Pylontech battery. To monitor the system and be able to switch battery/grid based on real SoC of the battery, I installed ICC on a raspberry Pi and connected it to the Pylontech and the inverter. It all seems to be working reasonably well. My question is - what is the best way to power the Pi? It seems silly to have to plug in a USB charger into a power outlet somewhere and connect it when the Pi is literally next to a battery and an inverter. Has anybody found a way to power it from the inverter or from the battery directly? …

Hi guys, Anyone know where I can buy a UPS system for home appliance use ? Basically I need a UPS to power 2 x (A++ ) Fridges and 2 x (A++ ) Freezers and about a kw of LED lights. Anything from 3kw-5kw is the requirement. I've got 6 x 12v200ah Lead Acid GEL batteries ready to provide some power. TIA !

Hi, I see that after our power came back my inverter doesn't want to go back to grid, presumably bwcause I'm getting such a low voltage: I suppose it is wait it out? Got plenty of battery left.

Morning All! The current 4kW 5kVA Axpert comes without the heat sink that was incorporated into the previous model. The result is that the fans work more than half the time. This is very disturbing with the machine in your lounge in a quiet bush place. On the previous model the fans only came on briefly under a big power surge. Any idea where I can still source the previous model? It was generally available until 2017 (I think).

Hi I bought an off grid place a year or so back. Its has a Multiplus 3kW/48V, which I'd like to beef up. Anyone know whether the new and old generation can be parallelled , or do I need to get another Multiplus? Or turf it and get a 5kW... Cheers Ian

I currently have an Infinisolar 3kw+ hybrid inverter with solar panels, batteries and connected to the Eskom supply. Currently the inverter is set in off-grid mode so that it does not feed back to the house and grid. This is quite a waste as the solar energy produced is way over what we're using on the load circuit of the inverter. I would love to feed the excess solar back to the house/grid but the City of Cape Town makes it extremely uninviting to do so, with their incredibly ridiculous AMI meter "service charge". I would end up paying almost twice as much to the council monthly just to have their special meter so I could feed to the grid, but yet I would be pr…

Hello everyone. I had installed a three Axpert 5kw MKSII to produce 3 phase , and I only have single phase input. So how could I program the inverters to disable line mode or bypass relay? any ideas? I only need the utility to charge the battery from single phase and I want the inverter to produce 3 phase , what should I do in this case. Is there is any program in this device can stop the bypass and make the utility charge only without turn into the loads with bypass function! I have tried to connect only one device to the utility to charge the batteries but the utility didn't start to feed the device until the other 2 units connected with utility.

Hi, I'm looking for a little info/advice regarding an Infinisolar 3KW+ Hybrid inverter. I'm running one of these at home with solar panels and batteries and a separate DB that the inverters load circuit supplies. This inverter fed DB has all the important circuits in the house connected like lights, office and of course the TV cabinet... On average I run between 1.3 amps to 3.8 amps through the inverter load circuit, depending of course on what is running. What I would like to do is add a contactor to the DB and have the contactor activated by the Eskom feed and therefore the contactor would be off when there is no Eskom power. Hi guys still on research for my backup system...have decided that getting the above and mating it to a venus gx makes more financial sense. My query is...will be getting 1st generaticn easysolar 48/3000va with two 150/35 mppt chargers, Venus gx and bmv 702...since venus gx has two V.E direct ports, is there of networking the two mppts to work as a single unit the connect it to the GX and the other port used for BMV?..Sorry for the long story...newbie here

Hello facing challenge with inverter alarm goes on continuously if switched on its showing error 10 and and over 250vdc pv input even with no panels connected to it System has 4x 335watt panels connected in series 4 x 12V batteries connected in series

So something odd happened today. Perfect sunny day, PV was pushing ~2kW/40A load was about 20% charging batteries and supplying load ... and next thing i know all PV input just dropped to 0 ...(yes it's still middle of the day clear and sunny ) I've checked all connection and cables to PV array, and am getting a reading of 100V on the terminals in the inverter. No errors reported and everything else seems to be working ok .. Any suggestions for troubleshooting such issues?

Hi I have a 5 kva axpert inverter. For some reason my lightning protector got tripped. I was not at home so not sure if it happened during a storm. I have now reset the lightning protector but have no feed from my solar panels to the Inverter although it was working well for the last 18 months. Are there any suggeations as to what I could try before I call an electrician. Would switching off the power switch on the inverter reset the inverter? Or do I need to disconnect all batteries as well to do the reset? thanks for the help Pieter

In my setup I have a Batrium connected to the Venus GX via CAN-bus to control the charging of the battery pack. The battery pack is made up of 14s60p to have a 51.8V system (@ 3.7V nominal/cell) The Batrium is setup for Lithium-ion long life, so it should only charge up to 57.4V (4.1V/cell). The remote voltage (screenshot) defaults to 58.1V (4.15V/cell) I did follow the guide from the Batrium site to get the Venus GX setup working, but it is not clear to what the Absorbtion and Float voltage parameters should be set at. To my understanding, their is no float charging required with Li-ion?, but this cannot be disabled on the charger. Anyone he…

Hi guys i'm new here, nice to meet you all recently i bougth the infini solar inverter 3kw ver cpu 1240 to use on my beach house the problem is that every nigth batterys goes down due a discharge i just need the inverter do not discharge the batterys during the nigth (just use the utility ) to do this i need to access the MyPower menu (using SolarPower ver 1.14) but it disappear every time i conect the inverter also try to update the firmware using master cpu reflash LV3K11.01P and only gets " cant open COM6" dialog please could you help me cheers from Chile
